Innohome Smart Socket is an intelligent safety socket with unique technology that
has several areas of use.
- Electric appliance re guard. The Smart Socket helps to prevent res by switching
o an appliance in the event of a gas/carbon monoxide/smoke alarm, and/or using a
timer. (Section 3)
- Additional signalling device. Stove Guard or smoke/carbon monoxide/gas alarm
signal activates the Smart Socket’s signalling light and sound. The Smart Socket can
also be used to transform any light or a signalling light that connects to a normal pow-
er socket to an alternative signalling device for any of the above mentioned alarms. Al-
ternatively the Smart Socket can be used to alert the user during a Stove Guard alarm
by switching an appliance (eg. a TV set) o. (Section 4)
- Informing a Telecare service of any alarms. The Telecare service is notied of any
gas/carbon monoxide/smoke or Stove Guard alarms. (Section 5)
- A water leak Guard. An identied water leak triggers the Smart Socket to turn o
the Aquastop washing machine’s or dishwasher’s power and water supply (additional
leak sensor required). (Section 6)
The Smart Socket is compatible with all gas, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms and
can be used with all electrical appliances that connect via a normal power socket.

o. The Smart Socket also works as a safety timer for over 500W appliances (eg. washing ma-
chines, irons).
NOTE. Alarms need to be installed in the same room and within 5 metres distance of the Smart
Socket. The Smart Socket is compatible with all gas, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms.
A detected alarm also activates the Smart Socket’s own alarm signal and signalling light.
The alarm is reset (and the appliance connected to the Smart Socket turned back
on) by pressing the Smart Socket push-button (1) once.
The Smart Socket push-button (1) can be used to turn the appliance on/o.
3.1 Setup for alarm signal detection
Gas, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms: Connect the Smart Socket in between the appli-
ance’s plug and the power socket. Gas, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms need to be locat-
ed in the same room and within 5 metres distance of the Smart Socket. Do a test alarm with
alarms and check that the Smart Socket turns o the appliance connected to it.
