1 Introduction
This document describes installation and connection of the LINX inkjet printhead (bottom print) to
the MEDIAJET (MJ) dish filler. The following LINX types are supported:
LINX 4900 (discontinued), printhead MK7
LINX 5900 (discontinued), printhead MK7
LINX CJ400 (discontinued), printhead MK11
LINX 89xx, printhead MK11
Before starting with the installation, please carefully read MJ and LINX operating instructions. Please
note that MJ units manufactured before Mai/June 2010 (serial numbers below 10310372/11310129)
are not compatible with LINX inkjet printers for bottom print. Connection kits manufactured before
May 2019 are not compatible with printhead MK11.
2 Required Accessories and Documentation
The components listed below are required to connect the inkjet printer to MEDIAJET.

3 Mount printhead onto MEDIAJET
Remove the two plastic screw caps and remove the
dummy cover on the rotor slide plate.
Install the new disc with slot (2).
Cover the screws with the screw caps (4).
Dismantle the bottom plate of the MEDIAJET.
The slot position of the MK11 printhead is slightly offset
compared to the MK7.
Mount the flange (1) on the tube (5), so that the slots of
the disc (2) and the printhead fit on top of each other.
The tube with the flange must be mounted with 3
Hexagon screws M5x16mm (3) at the correct position in
the slotted hole of the flange:
Printhead MK7
Printhead MK11
counterclockwise
(ccw) offset.
Clockwise (cw) offset.
Note:
Please mind the positioning of the tube.

Remove the round pre-cut part from the bottom plate.
Remount the bottom plate.
Hang the printhead in the tube (5), it is held in the correct position by its screw:
Printhead MK7
Printhead MK11
Upper position
Lower position
Connect the LINX printer with the MEDIAJET using the interface cable provided.
