弊社製 FPC コネクタ MINIFLEX 3-BFNH の取り扱いに際して、本コネクタを安全に御使用頂くことを目的とし、
コネクタの取り扱い上の注意点を記述致します。
御査収の程、宜しく御願い申し上げます。
This manual provides cautions to handle our FPC connector MINIFLEX 3-BFNH properly and safely.

1. コネクタ実装状態（FPC 挿入前）／Connector mounting state (Before FPC insertion)
アクチュエータ開放状態での納入となりますので、FPC を挿入する前にアクチュエータを操作する必要はありません。
Connectors are delivered with actuator open. There is no need to operate the actuator before FPC insertion.

≪注意／Caution≫
・アクチュエータをロック（空ロック）した状態でのコネクタ実装はしないで頂きますよう、お願い申し上げます。
接点間の寸法が狭くなり FPC を挿入する際にコンタクト座屈や FPC ダメージ、また FPC 挿入力が高くなる可能性がございます。
Please do not locking the actuator when soldering connector.
There is the possibility that contact buckling, FPC damage, and FPC insertion force rises in inserting FPC,
because the gap of contacts became narrowed.
・FPC 未挿入状態においてアクチュエータをロック（空ロック）しても、接圧に大きな影響はなく、信頼性を損なう事は御座いません。
但し、接点間の寸法が狭くなり FPC を挿入する際に挿入力が高くなる可能性がありますので、極力避けて頂きますよう、
お願い申し上げます。
Even if the actuator is locked without FPC (FPC is not inserted), there is no remarkable affect to the contact
pressure and the reliability will not be damaged.
However, there is the possibility that the insertion force rises in inserting FPC, because the gap of contacts
became narrowed. Therefore, please avoid locking the actuator without FPC as much as possible.
・補修などで手半田を行う場合は、コンタクトテールに触れないように御願い致します。
また、過度の半田及びフラックスは供給しないで下さい。
In case of the manual mounting do not to touch contact tail.
Please do not use excessive amount of solder and flux compounds.
エンボス納入時よりアクチュエータは開放状態です。
The actuator is open when delivered in the embossed tape
packaging.

2. FPC 挿入方法／FPC Insertion Method
FPC をコネクタに対して真っ直ぐに挿入して下さい。
FPC がしっかり奥まで挿入出来ているか、確認して下さい。
Please insert FPC straight in the connector.
Please confirm FPC is inserted into the end of mating part fully.

≪注意／Caution≫
・図 4 の様に FPC の挿入不足や斜め挿入になると、導通不良や短絡の原因になります。
If it becomes the short insertion and oblique insertion of FPC as shown in Fig. 4, electrical connection NG
and a short circuit will be caused.

★FPC に確認用の凸部（耳）を設け、基板にシルク印刷を設ける事で、FPC の正常挿入の確認が容易に
なります。
The check of FPC insertion becomes easy by preparing the wing in FPC and preparing the silk print
in board.

・ハウジング両端部の側壁に 5N 以上の負荷をかけないで下さい。
ハウジングが破損する恐れがあります。
Please do not push against housing both ends at 5N or more.
Housing is damaged.

・コネクタ間口付近にて FPC を上から押さえつけないで下さい。
コンタクト接点部が FPC へダメージを与え、コンタクトの変形、導通不良になる恐れがあります。
Please do not press FPC near a connector.
Contact gives damage to FPC and contact is damaged. It becomes the electrical connection NG.

3. アクチュエータのロック方法／To lock actuator
アクチュエータの中央部を FPC 挿入方向から水平に、指の腹で押して下さい。
Push the center of actuator to the arrowed direction horizontally with finger cushion
from the FPC inserting direction.

≪注意／Caution≫
・アクチュエータをロックする際、アクチュエータを上から押さえつけないで下さい。
また、爪でアクチュエータをロックしないで下さい。
アクチュエータが破損し、機能を損なう恐れがあります。
Please do not press an actuator from a top and lock actuator by finger nail.
Actuator is damaged and a function is not satisfied.

・アクチュエータの片端部で操作をしないで下さい。
アクチュエータの破損や不完全ロック（半ロック）になる恐れがあります。
Please do not operate side of an actuator.
Actuator is damaged, or it becomes imperfect lock.

・ロック後に上面のコンタクトを爪などで押さえつけないで下さい。 コンタクトが変形する恐れがあります。
Please do not press contact on top by finger nail etc. after a lock actuator. Contacts are damaged.

・ロック後にハウジング上面やアクチュエータを 10N 以上で押さえつけないで下さい。
コネクタ破損や FPC へダメージを与え、導通不良になる恐れがあります。
Please do not press at 10N or more housing on top and actuator after a lock actuator.
Connector and FPC are damaged. It becomes the electrical connection NG.

・ピンセット等の鋭利な工具を使用して操作しないで下さい。 コネクタを傷つける恐れがあります。
Please do not operate it using a sharp tool. (For example, tweezers) Connector is damaged.
4. アクチュエータの解除方法／To release actuator
アクチュエータの中央部を上に軽く跳ね上げる様に引き上げて下さい。
Raise the center of actuator upwards lightly.

解除操作が困難な場合は、下記のような JIG を使用し、アクチュエータの中央部を上に軽く跳ね上げる様に引き上げて下さい。
When release actuator is difficult, raise the center of actuator upwards lightly using the following JIG.

≪注意／Caution≫
・アクチュエータを解除する際、FPC 嵌合側に押さえつけないで下さい。
アクチュエータの破損やコンタクトの変形が発生する恐れがあります。
Please do not press to the direction of FPC mating side.
Actuator and contacts are damaged.

5. FPC の屈曲・取り回しについて／Flexion of FPC
FPC を屈曲される場合は、FPC 補強板の先より曲げてください。
Please bend from the end of FPC stiffener.

≪注意／Caution≫
・FPC 嵌合状態での FPC コネクタ出口部（FPC 補強板）に、必要以上にストレスが加わらない様、
取り扱いには十分注意願います。 ハウジングの破損、コンタクトの変形、導通不良になる恐れがあります。
Please avoid applying excessive stress to the FPC connector exit part (FPC stiffener) with FPC inserted.
Housing and contacts are damaged. It becomes the electrical connection NG.

6. 実装後の基板の反りに関して/ Regarding board warp after mounting.
90mm 幅の PCB の反りが 0.5mm 以下となるように注意してください。過剰な反りを加えるとコネクタが破損する恐れがあります。
(参照規格：JEITA ED-4702C)
Be careful that warp of 90mm width PCB is 0.5mm or less. If excessive warp is applied, Connector is damaged.
