弊社製コネクタ NOVASTACK 35-HDN を安全に御使用頂くことを目的とし、コネクタの挿入・抜去の手順及び注意点を
記述致します。
This manual provides the insertion & withdrawal methods and cautions to handle NOVASTACK 35-HDN
connector properly.

1-3.コネクタの方向性に関して/ Connectors Mating Direction
Plug ass’y 及び Receptacle ass’y 共に方向性はなく、どちらの方向に嵌合しても性能への影響はありません。
The plug and the receptacle can be mated in both ways.
The performance of the connector will not be affected by the mating direction of the connectors.
2.実装に関して/ Mounting
2-1 弊社推奨パターン寸法は弊社製品図面をご参照ください。
The recommended pattern dimensions are shown in the product drawing.
2-2 弊社推奨メタルマスク厚さ・開口率
The recommended metal mask thickness and opening area ratio.
図面 20864 (plug) と 20865 (receptacle) を参照ください。
Refer to the drawing 20864 (plug) and 20865 (receptacle).
2-3. 基板・FPC の反り / Warp of PCB or FPC
コネクタの全長に対して、基板・FPC の反りを 0.02 mm 以下にして下さい。
Please keep the warp of PCB or FPC on 0.02 mm or less for the overall length of the connector.

2-4 リフロー温度プロファイルは下記プロファイルを推奨いたします。
Recommended reflow temperature profile
（温度はコネクタ端子部付近のプリント基板表面温度）
(Temperature: the top surface temperature of the printed circuit board near the connector terminal.)

2-5 手付けはんだ/ Hand Soldering
手付けはんだの際はコネクタ内部へのフラックス上がり及び飛散の要因となりますので、フラックス塗布は行わないでください。
また、端子変形及び Housing 溶けの恐れがありますので、下図のようにはんだごてはフットパターン部に当て、直接端子への
負荷は避けてください。
なお、はんだこて先温度は 350℃ / 3 秒 以下の設定でご使用ください。
Do not apply flux when soldering by hands. The flux might rise inside the connector or it may scatter.
The tip of the soldering iron must not touch the connector while soldering.
A tip of the soldering iron shall touch the footprint pattern to prevent the connector from melting or
deforming.
Soldering iron tip temperature must be at 350℃ / 3 seconds when soldering.

3．取扱い上の注意/ Cautions for Handling the Component
3-1．基板-FPC での使用の場合/ Using for board to FPC connection.
①FPC の取り回しによる張力や落下等の衝撃によるコネクタへの負荷対して
取り回しに余裕を持たせていただくことに加え、嵌合方向へ押さえつけによる保持を実施願います。
①FPC shall not be tensed to withstand in case of a shock or a tension is applied.
The FPC shall be fixed toward the mating direction for the maintenance.
②挿抜する際の FPC 側コネクタへの負荷による破損を防止するため、FPC の裏面に補強板を取り付けた状態で
使用してください。
補強板のサイズに関しては製品外形(パターン含む)より大きく、厚さは FPC+補強板で 0.3 mm 以上を推奨します。
②FPC shall be used with the stiffener to prevent the connector on the FPC side from the breakage during
insertion and extraction.
Recommended stiffener size: Larger than the connector external shape including footprint pattern.
Recommended thickness of the FPC and a stiffener: Thicker than 0.3 mm or more.

3-2. 基板-基板での使用の場合/ Using for board to board connection.
①使用される嵌合基板のサイズ・形状によってはコネクタ及びコネクタ半田部への直接負荷による破損
もしくは、振動・衝撃等による嵌合の傾き及び脱落が発生する可能性があります。
コネクタ破壊及び嵌合傾き、脱落を防止するために、スペーサー等を使用した基板間固定を推奨します。
①To prevent the accidental removal or slant mating, spacers are recommended to fix the space in between
the two printed circuit board. There spacers will also help to prevent the damage to the connectors
and to the soldered area which might have been caused by the too large printed circuit board
or unbalanced shape printed circuit board.
②基板をネジ止めにより固定する場合は、コネクタを回転させないようご注意ください。
回転させた状態で固定された場合、コネクタを損傷させる可能性があります。
②Do not turn around the connector on the printed circuit board in case of using a screw.
If the printed circuit boards were fixed in a wrong position, the connectors may get damaged.

3-3. コネクタ抜け止め荷重/Press load
嵌合状態のコネクタ抜け止め荷重(筐体で押さえる荷重)につきましては下記条件でコネクタ上面全体を
押さえるようにしてください。
（抜け止め荷重：芯数×1.0N 以下）
To prevent the coming off of the mated connectors (the load which a connector can apply), press
the entire upper surface of the connector with the load calculated in below formula.
（Maximum Press load： number of pin×1.0N or under）
4.挿抜方法/ Mating and Unmating
4 -1. 挿抜はコネクタに対して水平に行い、コネクタ破損の要因となりますので、
過度なこじり及び回転を加えた挿抜は行わないでください。
Always mate and unmate the connectors horizontally. An excessive twisting or
slanting when mating and unmating will damage the connectors.

4-2. 注意事項/ Cautions
[注意 1／Caution 1]
挿入開始時の水平方向のこじり角度は、10°以下でお願い致します。
10°以上での挿入は、コネクタ変形の原因となります。
Insertion angle shall not be slanted more than 10 degrees.
Slanted degree over 10 degrees may cause the deformation of the connector.
[注意 2／Caution 2]
挿入開始時の奥行き方向のこじり角度は、10°以下でお願いします。
10°以上での挿入は、コネクタ変形の原因となります。
At starting the insertion, please keep the slant 10 ° or less in direction of depth.
By inserting with the slant more than 10°, deformation of the connector will occur.
[注意 3／Caution 3]
斜めに挿入された場合でも、上面より真直ぐに押せば、コネクタのガイド機能により姿勢が安定致します。
斜め方向からの無理な挿入は行わないで下さい。
Pressing straight from upper side, the posture becomes stable by guide function of connector.
Do not insert forcedly from oblique direction.
[注意 4／Caution 4]
回転を加えた状態での挿抜は行わないでください。
Do not mate or unmate when the connector is turned around.
