ALLGEMEINES
Das EquaScan hMIURF V2 dient der Einbindung von Itron/Allmess UltraMaXX/
UltraLite Wärmezählern in das Itron EquaScan Funksystem für die mobile und
stationäre Datenerfassung.

HINWEIS ZU LITHIUM-BATTERIEN
Das Gerät enthält nicht auswechselbare Lithium-Metall Batterien. Batterien nicht aufladen, nicht Temperaturen über 100°C
oder mechanischen Belastungen aussetzen. Es gilt, Transportbestimmungen für Lithium-Batterien zu beachten. Die für den
Transport notwendigen Zertifikate können bei Allmess angefordert werden.
RICHTIGE ENTSORGUNG / INFORMATIONEN ZUR GEEIGNETEN ENTSORGUNG VON PRODUKTEN
Das durchgestrichene Mülltonnensymbol auf dem Gerät oder auf der Verpackung weist darauf hin, dass das Altprodukt
getrennt vom Hausmüll entsorgt werden muss, damit es ordnungsgemäß behandelt und entsorgt werden kann. Alle Geräte,
die dem ElektroGesetz (ElektroG) unterliegen, müssen gemäß Kreislaufwirtschafts- und Abfallgesetz der fachgerechten
Verwertung zugeführt werden. Dies gilt ausschließlich für die in Deutschland in Verkehr gebrachten Geräte.
Die durch die Allmess GmbH in Verkehr gebrachten Geräte können im Rahmen des Rücknahmekonzepts an die Allmess
GmbH zurückgeschickt werden. Das Produkt ist potenziell nicht schädlich für die menschliche Gesundheit und die Umwelt,
aber wenn es in der Umwelt illegal entsorgt wird, hat es negative Auswirkungen auf das Ökosystem. Die illegale Entsorgung
des Geräts in der Umwelt ist strafbar. Es obliegt der Eigenverantwortung des Nutzers des Messgerätes, gegebenenfalls
seine privaten Daten vor der Entsorgung zu löschen.

Das Batteriesymbol auf dem hMIURF V2 beschreibt das Ablaufdatum der Batterie.
Die hMIURF V2 sind jederzeit nachrüstbar. Mit wenigen Handgriffen lässt sich das EquaScan hMIURF V2 auf alle UltraMaXX/
UltraLite Varianten mit einem Standardgehäuse montieren, installieren und in den Kreis der schon vorhandenen Funkzähler
einbinden. Die induktive Schnittstelle des hMIURF V2 dient der schnellen und fehlerfreien Parametrierung und Auslesung der
Daten per PC mittels induktivem Kopf (Bestell-Nr. 8090000006). Die Programmierung der Funkparameter erfolgt mit der
EquaScan Programmier-Software.

MODULMONTAGE
• Prüfen und reinigen Sie die optische Schnittstelle des UltraMaXX/UltraLite
und ggf. des hMIURF V2.
• Überprüfen Sie die korrekte Position der Dichtung, die die
optische Schnittstelle des hMIURF V2 umgibt.
• Drücken Sie den roten Drucktaster des UltraMaXX/UltraLite.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Verschlussbügel des hMIURF V2
geöffnet ist (Position A).
• Das hMIURF V2 mit einem ca. 1cm breiten Spalt rechtsbündig auf den
Wärmezähler aufsetzen.
ACHTUNG
UltraMaXX/UltraLite
• Für eine korrekte Fixierung des hMIURF V2 stellen Sie sicher, dass keine
Verbindungskabel um das Rechenwerk des Wärmezählers
gewickelt sind.
• Platzieren Sie das hMIURF V2 auf dem Wärmezähler.
• Schließen Sie den Verschlussbügel des hMIURF V2 (Position B).
• Zum Schutz vor Manipulation das hMIURF V2 mit der Steckplombe sichern.
LED LEUCHTFUNKTIONEN
Das hMIURF V2 besitzt eine rote LED zur Anzeige folgender Betriebszustände.
Montage / Demontage::
• Leuchtet für ca. 15 Sekunden nach dem Aufsetzen des hMIURF V2 auf den
UltraMaXX/UltraLite (Wärmezähler wurde erkannt, initialer
Datenupload wird ausgeführt)
ACHTUNG
Die Detektierung des Wärmezählers kann bis zu 20 Sekunden
benötigen. Bitte wiederholden Sie den Montagevorgang, sollte die LED
Anzeige nach dieser Zeit keine Aktivität zeigen!
• Blinkt 10 Sekunden nach Demontage des hMIURF V2 für 15 Sekunden
(schnelles Blinken)
(Demontagealarm wird im hMIURF V2 gesetzt)
Anmeldung im Funksystem:
• Blinkt einmal alle 2 Sekunden nach Anmeldung in einem EquaScan FNet bis
zum nächsten übertragenen Datensatz (max. 5 Min.)
• Blinkt zweimal alle 2 Sekunden nach Umschaltung in den Walk-By Modus bis
zum nächsten übertragenen Datensatz (max. 5 Min.)

PROGRAMMIERUNG
Das hMIURF V2 Kommunikationsmodul wird vorkonfiguriert geliefert. Nach dem
Aufsetzen auf das UltraMaXX/UltraLite Gehäuse wird automatisch ein initialer
Datenupload aus dem Wärmemengenzähler ausgeführt und die Funk-
kommunikation aktiviert. Regelmäßige Datenaktualisierungen über die optische
Schnittstelle stellen eine höchstmögliche Aktualität der im hMIURF V2
gespeicherten Daten sicher. Jedes hMIURF V2 besitzt eine induktive Schnittstelle.
Über diese Schnittstelle kann der Wärmezähler individuell konfiguriert werden. Zu
jeder Zeit können, unabhängig vom Funkbetrieb, Verbrauchs- und Geräteinfor-
mationen ausgelesen und überspielt werden. Die induktive Schnittstelle dient zur
schnellen, fehlerfreien Parametrierung und Auslesung der Daten per PC mittels
induktivem Kopf. Der induktive Kopf wird per USB mit dem PC verbunden und
besitzt einen Aufsatz zur Positionierung auf dem hMIURF V2.
MODULAUSLESUNG UND -PROGRAMMIERUNG
Nach der Auslesung eines hMIURF V2 über die induktive Schnittstelle steht
innerhalb der EquaScan Software die Eingabemaske der Modulparameter zur
Verfügung. Die durch den Administrator freigeschalteten Programmierparam-
eter können selektiert und mit neuen Werten überschrieben werden. Erst mit
Starten des Schreibvorganges werden die eingetragenen Änderungen in das
hMIURFV2 und in Abhängigkeit zum gewünschten Parameter teilweise ebenfalls
in den Wärmezähler übernommen. Weitere Werte und Parameter sind über die
verschiedenen Auswahlfelder auslesbar.
MODULPARAMETER
ACHTUNG: Eine Programmierung des hMIURF V2 kann ebenfalls die
Parameter des UltraMaXX/UltraLite beeinflussen!
Folgende Programmierparameter sind möglich:
• Einstellung des Funkbetriebsmodus:
- EquaScan V2 (Einzelverschlüsselung und bidirektional);
- EquaScan retrofit (Masterverschlüsselung und bidirektional);
- OMS (Einzelverschlüsselung und unidirektional)
ACHTUNG: Standardmäßig wird das hMIURF V2 als EquaScan V2
Funkbetriebsmodus geliefert.
• Einstellung des Abrechnungsmonats im Wärmezähler
(Stichtagsmonat).
• Einstellung einer Kunden ID-Nummer im Wärmezähler.
• Einstellung der Funkadresse des hMIURF V2

STICHTAGSMONAT
Das hMIURF V2 verwendet den im Wärmezähler gespeicherten Stichtagsmonat.
Um einen korrekten Abrechnungsmonat zu gewährleisten, überprüfen Sie bitte
den aus dem UltraMaXX/UltraLite geladenen Stichtagsmonat. Bei Bedarf kann
der Stichtagsmonat mittels induktiver Schnittstelle umprogrammiert werden.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The EquaScan hMIURF V2 serves to integrate the Itron UltraMaXX/UltraLite
thermal energy meter into the Itron EquaScan radio system for mobile and fixed
network data collection.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR LITHIUM-BATTERIES
The hMIURF V2 contains non-replaceable lithium metal batteries. Do not charge the batteries, do not expose them to
temperatures above 100°C or to mechanical stress. Transport regulations for lithium batteries must be observed.
The certificates required for transport can be requested from Allmess.
CORRECT DISPOSAL / INFORMATION ON APPROPRIATE PRODUCT DISPOSAL
The crossed-out garbage container symbol on the hMIURF V2 or on the packaging indicates that the old product must
be disposed of separately from household waste so that it can be handled and disposed of properly. All devices that are
subject to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) must be recycled properly in accordance with
the German Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act (Kreislaufwirtschafts- und Abfallgesetz). The devices
placed on the market by Allmess GmbH can be returned to Allmess GmbH within the framework of the take-back concept.
Please observe the laws in force in your country regarding the return and proper disposal of electrical devices. The product
is potentially not harmful to human health and the environment, but if it is illegally disposed of in the environment, it will have a
negative impact on the ecosystem. Illegal disposal of the hMIURF V2 in the environment is punishable by law. It is the personal
responsibility of the user of the hMIURF V2, if necessary, to delete his private data before disposal.

The battery symbol on the hMIURF V2 indicates the end year of the battery life.
The hMIURF V2 can be refitted at any time to all UltraMaXX/UltraLite with standard housing. The hMIURF V2 can be assem-
bled, installed and integrated into the system of existing EquaScan radio meters in a few simple steps. The hMIURF V2 can
be programmed and read quickly and accurately via the computer using an Itron inductive head (Ref. No. 8090000006) or
an EquaScan MasterRF. The parameters are programmed using the EquaScan software.

MOUNTING THE MODULE
• Check the cleanness of the optical interfaces from UltraMaXX/UltraLite and
hMIURF V2.
• Check correct position of gasket – arround optical interface of the hMIURF V2.
• Push the red button of the UltraMaXX/UltraLite.
• Make sure that the locking ring of the hMIURF V2 is open (position A).
• Match the hMIURF V2 with a flush distance of approx. 1 cm on the right hand
top of the UltraMaXX/UltraLite.
ATTENTION
UltraMaXX/UltraLite
• Make sure that no cable is wrapped around UltraMaXX/UltraLite calculator
to assure orrect fixation of hMIURF V2.
• Put the hMIURF V2 down onto the UltraMaXX/UltraLite.
• Close the locking ring to assure secure fixation (position B).
• Place the user seal at the junction of locking ring and upper part of the
hMIURF V2.
LED LIGHTING FUNCTION
The hMIURF V2 has a red LED to indicate the following operating conditions.
Installation / de-installation:
• Lights up for appox. 15 seconds after mounting the hMIURFV2 on the
UltraMaXX/UltraLite.
(The thermal energy meter has been detected and the data upload starts
automatically).
ATTENTION
The detection of the thermal energy meter may take up to 20 sec. If no LED
activity is done by this time, please redo the mounting process!
• 10 seconds after uninstalling the hMIURF V2 the LED flashes for 15 seconds
(quick flashes). The removal alarm is set in hMIURF V2.
Registration in the radio system:
• Flashes once every 2 seconds after recognition from the EquaScan Fnet until
the next data set transfer (max. 5 min)
• Flashes twice every 2 seconds after switching over to the walk-by mode until
the next data set transfer (max. 5 min)

PROGRAMMING
The hMIURF V2 is delivered preconfigured. After its plugged onto the UltraMaXX/
UltraLite, it automatically uploads all required data from the thermal energy meter.
Frequent upload updates assure highest accuracy of data memorized in
the hMIURF V2. Each hMIURF V2 has an inductive interface, over which the
hMIURF V2 and the thermal energy meter are configured. Information on the
hMIURFV2 can be read and recorded over at any time. The inductive interface
serves to quickly and accurately parameterize and read data via the computer
using an inductive head. The inductive head is connected to the computer by
USB and has an attachment to position it on the hMIURF V2.
READING AND PROGRAMMING THE MODULE
After the hMIURF V2 has been read via the inductive interface, the entry form for
the parameters becomes available. The programming parameters, which are
activated by the administrator, can be selected and overwritten with new values.
These changes are adopted in the hMIURF V2 when the next writing process
begins. Other hMIURF V2 values and parameters can be read from the various
selection fields.
MODULE PARAMETERS
CAUTION: Programming the hMIURF V2 could also effect the
UltraMaXX/UltraLite parameters!
The following programming parameters are possible:
• Setting the radio mode:
- EquaScan V2 (single encryption and bidirectional);
- EquaScan Retrofit (master encryption and bidirectional);
- OMS (single encryption and unidirectional)
CAUTION: As standard, the hMIURF V2 is supplied pre-configured in the
EquaScan V2 radio mode
• Setting the billing month (fixed date month) in the UltraMaXX/UltraLite.
• Setting a customer serial number in the UltraMaXX/UltraLite.

• Activating / deactivating the encryption (radio) of the hMIURF V2.
Only valid for EquaScan Retrofit radio mode.
• Setting a password for the inductive communication with the hMIURF V2.
You can find more precise information in the user´s manual of the EquaScan
software.
BILLING MONTH (FIXED DATE MONTH)
The hMIURF V2 uploads the billing month from the thermal energy meter. To
assure availability of a fixed date index, you shall check the correctness of the
billing month. If needed, billing month can be reprogrammed via inductive head.
