1.2 Jumpers
1.2.1 JP1(CMOS)Clear CMOSjumper
1.2.2 JP3 CPU FSB select jumper (FSB)
This jumper allow the selection of the CPU’s based external frequency. The
CPU “External Frequency” multiplied by the “Frequency Multiple” equals the
CPU’s “Internal Frequency”. Currently, most of the processors have the Fre-
quency Multiple locked, so you only need to select the External Frequency.
Most of the time, you can leave these jumpers on their default setting and the
based external frequency will be determined by CPU automatically.

Chapter 2 Overview
20 DS133R Series
Introduction
The DS133R motherboard is the most flexible platform in today’s market based on the newest Intel® 820
chipset. A major advancement in chipset technology, 820 chipset support single Direct RAMBUS
channel for up to 32DRDRAM devices.
This motherboard supports single and dual the Deschutes / Katmai / CuMine processors. It can support
the processors that packed as a SEPP/SECC/SECC2 CPU package. In other words, no matter what kind
of processors you have, the DS133R motherboard always provides you an adequate solution.
There are two RIMM sockets on the motherboard, using 256M/128M/64M technology maximum
memory up to 1G/512MB/256MB. The 820 chipset support AGP 4X/2X/1X AGP mode. The origi-
nal investment can be guaranteed by five bus-master PCI slots design. The PC99 compliant colorful
connectors and the easy jumper setting provide the user more convenience. Besides that, the robust
