i-Spin Safe R enhanced child restraint you are using a high quality, fully
certified safety i-Size enhanced child restraint. Please carefully read this
manual and follow each step to ensure a comfortable ride and best pro-
tection for your child.
To use this Joie enhanced child restraint with the i-Size ISOFIX connec-
tions according to the ECE R129/03 Regulation, your child must meet
the following requirements.

WARNING
!Do take care so that the rigid items and plastic parts
of a enhanced child restraint shall be so located and
installed that they are not liable to become trapped
by a moveable seat or in a door of the vehicle.
!DO NOT use the rearward facing enhanced child
restraint systems in seating positions where there is
an active frontal airbag installed. Death or serious
injury may occur.
!To use this enhanced child restraint with the ISOFIX
connections according to the ECE R129/03 Regula-
tion, your child must meet the following requirements.
Rearward Facing:
Child height 40cm-105cm/ Child weight 18.5kg;
!Any support-leg should be in contact with the vehicle
floor and any straps restraining the child should be
adjusted to the child’s body. The straps should not be
twisted.
!After your child is placed in this enhanced child
restraint, the safety belt must be used correctly, and
ensure that any lap strap is worn low down, so that
the pelvis is firmly engaged, shall be stressed.
!This enhanced child restraint should be replaced
when it has been subject to violent stresses in an
accident. An accident can cause damage to them
that you cannot see.
WARNING
!Concern the danger of making any alterations or
additions to the device without the approval of the
competent authority, and a danger of not following
closely the installation instructions provided by the
enhanced child restraint manufacturer.
!Please keep this enhanced child restraint away from
sunlight, otherwise it may be too hot for child’s skin.
Always touch the enhanced child restraint before
placing child in it.
!Child is not left in the enhanced child restraint system
unattended.
!Any luggage or other objects liable to cause injuries in
the event of a collision shall be properly secured.
!The enhanced child restraint shall not be used without
the soft goods.
!The soft goods should not be replaced with any other
than the one recommended by the manufacturer,
because the soft goods constitutes an integral part of
the restraint performance.
!DO NOT use any load bearing contact points other
than those described in the instructions and marked
on the enhanced child restraint.
!Please check before you purchase this enhanced
child restraint to make sure it can be installed properly
in your vehicle.

WARNING
!NO enhanced child restraint can guarantee full protec-
tion from injury in an accident. However, proper use of
this enhanced child restraint will reduce the risk of
serious injury or death to your child.
!DO NOT install this enhanced child restraint without
following the instructions in this manual or you may
put your child at serious risk of injury or death.
!DO NOT use this enhanced child restraint if it has
damaged or missing parts.
!DO NOT have your child in large/oversized clothes
because this may prevent your child from being
properly and securely fastened by the shoulder
harness straps and the crotch strap between the legs.
!DO NOT leave this enhanced child restraint or other
items unbelted or unsecured in your vehicle because
an unsecured enhanced child restraint can be thrown
around and may injure occupants in a sharp turn, sud-
den stop, or collision.
!NEVER use a second-hand enhanced child restraint
or an enhanced child restraint whose history you do
not know because it may have structural damage that
compromises your child’s safety.
!NEVER use ropes or any other substitutes to secure
enhanced child restraint in vehicle or to secure child
into enhanced child restraint.
WARNING
!Be sure that the enhanced child restraint is installed
in such a way that no part of it interferes with
movable seats or in the operation of vehicle doors.
!Consult the distributor for issues concerning mainte-
nance, repair and part replacement.
!Remove this enhanced child restraint from the
vehicle seat when it is not in use for a long period of
time.
!The parts of this enhanced child restraint should not
be lubricated in any way.
!Always secure child in enhanced child restraint, even
on short trips, as this is when most accidents occur.
!Frequently check the ISOFIX guides for dirt and clean
them if necessary. Reliability can be effected by
ingress of dirt, dust, food particles etc.
!DO NOT put anything other than the recommended
inner cushions in this enhanced child restraint.
!The child restraint may not fit in all approved vehicles
when used in one of these positions.

In case of emergency or accidents, it is most important to have your
child taken care of with first aid and medical treatment immediately.
Product Information
"i-Size" (Integral Universal ISOFIX Enhanced Child Restraint Systems)
is a category of Enhanced Child Restraint System for use in all i-Size
seating position of a vehicle.
1. According to the ECE R129/03 Regulation, the product is a Universal
ISOFIX Class ISO/R2 enhanced child restraint and should be fitted
using the ISOFIX connections.
2. This is an “i-Size” Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is approved
according to Regulation No.129, for use in, i-Size compatible vehicle
seating positions as indicated by vehicle manufacturers in the
vehicle users’ manual.
3. If in doubt consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System
manufacturer or the retailer.

load leg downward to floor. When
the load leg indicator shows green,
the load leg is installed correctly.
! Squeeze the load leg releasing
button, then adjust the load leg

!The load leg has multiple positions.
When the load leg indicator shows
red this means the load leg is in the

!Make sure the load leg is in full
contact with the vehicle floor pan.

Removing the base
To remove from the vehicle press the
ISOFIX adjuster button 10 -1 and pull
the base back from the seat. 10 -2
Then press and release the
connectors from the vehicle’s

To prevent damage during transit,

Securing Child
1. Press the webbing adjustment
button, while pulling out the
shoulder harnesses to the desired

through the harnesses.
!After the child is seated, recheck whether the shoulder harnesses
are at the proper height.

full infant insert while the
baby is under 60cm and can
be used until they outgrow
the infant insert. The infant
insert increases side impact
protection.

webbing and adjust it to the
proper length to make sure your

! After removing the wedge from the infant Insert please store it
somewhere that the child cannot access it.
! Please wash the seat cover and inner padding with cold water under
30°C.
! Do not iron the soft goods.
! Do not bleach or dry clean the soft goods.
! Do not use undiluted detergents gasoline or other organic solvent to
wash the enhanced child restraint or base. It may cause damage to
the enhanced child restraint.
! Do not wring out the seat cover and inner padding to dry. It may
leave the seat cover and inner padding with wrinkles.
! Please hang dry the seat cover and inner padding in the shade.
! Please remove the enhanced child restraint and base from the
vehicle seat if not in use for a long period of time. Put the enhanced
child restraint in a cool, dry place where your child cannot access it.
! Do not tamper with the harness connectors during cleaning.

WARNHINWEISE
!Um dieses Joie Kinderrückhaltesystem mit ISOFIX-
Konnektoren nach ECE R129/03 zu nutzen, muss Ihr
Kind folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
Rückwärtsgerichtet: Größe des Kindes 40-105 cm /
Kindgewicht maximal 18.5 kg
!
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Sitz über die ISOFIX-
Konnektoren fest mit dem Fahrzeug verbunden ist,
dass der Stützfuß fest auf dem Fahrzeugboden
aufsteht und dass die Gurte des Sitzes eng am
Körper Ihres Kindes anliegen und nicht verdreht sind.
!Nachdem Sie Ihr Kind in den Sitz gesetzt haben,
muss der Sicherheitsgurt korrekt angelegt werden.
Der Hüftgurt sollte möglichst tief verlaufen, so dass
das Becken sicher fixiert ist.
!Verwenden Sie dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem NICHT
weiter, nachdem es in einen Unfall verwickelt war.
Ersetzen Sie es umgehend, da es durch den Unfall
möglicherweise unsichtbare strukturelle Schäden
aufweist.
!
Sie dürfen dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem NICHT
modifizieren oder zusammen mit Einzelteilen anderer
Hersteller verwenden. Befolgen Sie die Anweisungen und
Warnhinweise in dieser Anleitung, andernfalls drohen
Ihrem Kind ernsthafte oder sogar tödliche Verletzungen.

Bitte schützen Sie das Kinderrückhaltesystem vor
direkter Sonneneinstrahlung. Stellen Sie bei hohen
Außentemperaturen und Aufbewahrung im Fahrzeug vor
Nutzung sicher, dass die Oberflächen sich nicht zu stark
erhitzt haben bevor Sie Ihr Kind in den Sitz setzen.

!Lassen Sie Ihr Kind NIEMALS unbeaufsichtigt in
diesem Kinderrückhaltesystem sitzen.

Platzieren Sie KEINE Gegenstände ungesichert in
Ihrem Fahrzeug, da diese bei scharfen Kurven,
plötzlichem Abbremsen oder Unfällen umher
geschleudert werden und Insassen verletzen könnten.

NIEMALS rückwärts gerichtet auf einem Fahrzeugsitz
mit aktiviertem Front-Airbag.
!Bitte stellen Sie vor dem Kauf dieses
Kinderrückhaltesystems sicher, dass Sie es
ordnungsgemäß in Ihrem Fahrzeug befestigen
können.
!KEIN Kinderrückhaltesystem kann vollständigen

!Verwenden Sie dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem NICHT,
falls es beschädigt ist oder Teile fehlen.
!Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Kind beim Einsatz dieses
Kinderrückhaltesystems angemessen gekleidet ist
(insbesondere keine übermäßig dicke oder
gepolsterte Kleidung); andernfalls kann Ihr Kind
NICHT zuverlässig gesichert werden! Verwenden Sie
bei niedrigen Temperaturen bevorzugt eine Decke,
mit der Sie das bereits angegurtete Kind zudecken.
!Lassen Sie dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem NICHT
ungesichert in Ihrem Fahrzeug, da ein ungesichertes
Kinderrückhaltesystem bei scharfen Kurven,
plötzlichem Abbremsen oder Unfällen umher

Gegenstände, um das Kinderrückhaltesystem in

so installiert ist, dass es weder mit beweglichen

!Entfernen Sie das Kinderrückhaltesystem bei
unregelmäßiger Verwendung aus dem Auto und
bewahren es in einem trockenen, vor Sonnenlicht

!Die Teile des Kinderrückhaltesystems dürfen nicht
geölt werden.
!Sichern Sie Ihr Kind IMMER im
Kinderrückhaltesystem, wenn Sie unterwegs sind.
Das gilt für jede Fahrt, sei sie auch noch zu kurz.
Viele Unfälle passieren gerade auf Kurzstrecken.
!Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die ISOFIX-Verankerungen
und entfernen Sie ggf. Schmutz oder Staub, damit
eine einwandfreie Fixierung möglich ist.
!Verwenden Sie in diesem Kinderrückhaltesystem
KEINE anderen oder zusätzlichen Polster als die vom
Hersteller mitgelieferten.

Bei einem Notfall oder Unfall ist es besonders wichtig, dass bei Ihrem
Kind umgehend Erste Hilfe geleistet und es medizinisch versorgt wird.
Produktinformationen
Dieses integrale ISOFIX-Kinderrückhaltesystem der Kategorie
„universal"" (i-Size) kann ohne gesonderte Prüfung auf allen i-Size-
Fahrzeugsitzen, die gemäß den Regelungen ECE Nr. 14 und 16
genehmigt sind, verwendet werden kann.
1. Gemäß der europäischen Norm ECE R129/03 handelt es sich um
ein Kinderrückhaltesystem der Gruppe Universal ISOFIX Class ISO/
F2X, ISO R/2 und ist ausschließlich mit den ISOFIX-Konnektoren zu
installieren.
2. Es handelt sich hier um ein ""i-Size"" Kinderrückhaltesystem, das
gemäß ECE 129/03 für die Verwendung auf i-Size kompatiblen
Fahrzeugsitzen (gemäß Fahrzeughandbuch) zugelassen ist.
3. Bei Zweifeln kontaktieren Sie Ihren Fachhändler oder den Hersteller
des Kindersitzrückhaltesystems.

! Nachdem Sie die Basisstation auf
dem Fahrzeugistz abgestellt haben,
ziehen Sie den Stützfuß nach unten
auf den Fahrzeugboden. 3
! Nutzen Sie die ISOFIX-
Führungshilfen zur einfacheren
ISOFIX-Installation. 4-1
! Es gibt 11 verschiedene ISOFIX-
Positionen. Drücken Sie den
ISOFIX-Knopf 5-1 um die
ISOFIX-Konnektoren auszufahren.

ISOFIX-Konnektoren fest mit den
ISOFIX-Bügeln verbunden sind. Die
Farbindikatoren beider ISOFIX-
Konnektoren müssen komplett grün

Konnektoren korrekt installiert
haben, drücken Sie den Knopf zur
ISOFIX-Tiefenverstellung erneut, um
den Sitz zurück in Richtung

! Anschließend ziehen Sie den
Stützfuß nach unten zum
Fahrzeugboden. Wird der
Farbindikator des Stützfußes
komplett grün, haben Sie den
Stützfuß korrekt installiert.
! Die Höhe des Stützfußes können Sie
über den entsprechenden Knopf
anpassen. 7
!Der Stützfuß hat 19 Positionen. Er
ist dann korrekt installiert, wenn der
Farbindikator grün anzeigt. Bei rot
befindet sich der Stützfuß in einer
falschen Position. 8
!Stellen Sie sicher, dass der
Stützfuß in festem Kontakt mit dem
Fahrzeugboden steht. Zeigt der
Farbindikator rot, ist die Installation
nicht korrekt. 8

Basisstation entfernen
Um die Basisstation zu entfernen,
drücken Sie den Knopf zur
Tiefenverstellung der ISOFIX-
Konnektoren 10 -1und ziehen Sie die
Basisstation vom Sitz weg. 10 -2
Sie können dann die ISOFIX-
Konnektoren von den ISOFIX-Bügeln
des Fahrzeugs lösen, indem Sie
beide Knöpfe wie in Abb. 11 -1 und
11 -2 abgebildet, zusammen
betätigen.
Um Transportschäden zu vermeiden,
drücken Sie den Knopf zur
Tiefenverstellung der ISOFIX-
Konnektoren 12 -1 und schieben Sie
die Konnektoren vollständig in die
Basisstation ein. 12 -2

Höheneinstellung
für Kopfstütze und Schultergurt

1. Bitte stellen Sie Kopfstütze und
Schultergurt so ein, dass sie sich
auf der richtigen Höhe befinden.
!Im rückwärtsgerichteten Modus
muss sich der Schultergurt auf
gleicher Höhe oder leicht
unterhalb der Schulter des Kindes

2. Drücken Sie den Knopf zur

Fahrzeugs und setzen Sie das Kind
hinein.

Kinderrückhaltesystem im
rückwärtsgerichteten Modus
verwenden.
1. Drücken Sie den Knopf zur
Tiefenverstellung der ISOFIX-

die Basisstation vom Fahrzeugsitz

2. Drücken Sie den Knopf zur Rotation
des Kindersitzes 21 und drehen ihn
um 90 Grad zu Ihnen hin, um den
Ein- und Ausstieg des Kindes zu
erleichtern.22 Bringen Sie den Sitz
anschließend wieder in die
rückwärtsgerichtete Position bis er
fest einrastet.
!Der Knopf zur Rotation kann auf
beiden Seiten des
Kinderrückhaltesystems gedrückt
werden.
