Safety instructions
The products may be assembled and installed exclusively by suitably quali ed and trained specia-
lists duly observing all applicable safety regulations.
Multi-Contact (MC) does not accept any liability in the event of failure to observe these warnings.
Use only the components and tools speci ed by MC. In case of self-assembly, do not deviate from
the preparation and assembly instructions as stated herein, otherwise MC cannot
give any guarantee as to safety or conformity with the technical data. Do not modify the product in
any way.
Protection from electric shock must be assured, all components must always be voltage-free during
assembly and disassembly.
The plug connections must not be disconnected under load. Plugging and unplugging when live is
permitted.
Check the parts before use. For reasons of security, damaged parts have to be replaced.

Overview

1 Socket, pre-assembled by the manufacturer,
consisting of:
- Buchsenkörper (1a)
- Kontaktlamelle (1b)
- Madenschraube (1c)
- Aderendhülse (1d)
2 Upper part of insulator (green)
3 Lower part of insulator (yellow)
4 Stranded wire (not supplied)
Outer diameter:
- POAG-KBT6-EC/4: 4,8mm
- POAG-KBT6-EC/6: 5,9mm
Lead cross section:
- POAG-KBT6-EC/4: 4,0mm²
- POAG-KBT6-EC/6: 6,0mm²

Assembly
(ill. 5)
Thread wire 4 through lower part of insulator 3 and strip wire
insulation (approx. 8mm).
(ill. 6)
Insert wire 4 in socket 1.
(ill. 7)
Tighten grubscrew (1c), screw must completely disappear
into socket 1.
(Hexagonal wrench HOP2, tightening torque 0.7 ... 1.0Nm
(“hand-tight”))

Push up lower insulation part 3 so that
socket 1 rests in it.
(ill. 9)
Place upper insulation part 2 in position
so that its “ridge”  ts in the slot
of the socket 1.
Then press the upper and lower insulator
parts (2 and 3) together until they
are felt to engage in each other.
