BEFORE YOU BEGIN
IMPORTANT! This valve is intended for bath-only applications.
NOTE: The installation of water hammer arrestors is not required but is recommended. Installing water hammer
arrestors may reduce or eliminate the possibility of water hammer when the user turns the handles to the ON or
OFF position.
Please read all instructions before you begin.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Before installation, unpack the components and inspect them for damage. Return the components to the
carton until you are ready to install.
Kallista reserves the right to make revisions in the design of products without notice, as specied in the

1. PREPARE THE YOKE

For Ceiling Supplied Installations
Turn the yoke over to allow the supplies to connect from the top of the yoke.
NOTE: Reversing the yoke for ceiling supplies will reverse the direction in which lever handles close.
For proper lever handle operation, remove and reverse the ceramic valves.
Make sure the valves are not dirty or damaged.
Wrench tighten the valves.
For All Installations
Install a 1/2" NPT plug in the appropriate hole in the center of the yoke.

NOTE: Typical dimensions are shown on the roughing-in diagram.
NOTE: Refer to the trim installations for specic requirements.
NOTE: Refer to the handle installation instructions for possible roughing-in depth requirements.
NOTE: The faucet tting is factory assembled for hot and cold water.
Unless otherwise instructed, rough-in the supply yoke 3" (76 mm) minimum to 4" (102 mm) maximum from
the center of the supply inlets to the outside of the nished wall.
Install 1/2" hot and cold supply pipes.
Slide the nuts over the supply pipes and then thread the 1/2" threaded pipe unions onto the ends of the
supply pipes.
Thread the nuts onto the yoke.
Install the pipes and adapters between the yoke and bath ell.
Secure the yoke, supply pipes, and bath ell to the backer boards.
Install a temporary 1/2" nipple into the bath ell.
