When using this product basic precau-
tions should always be followed, in-
cluding the following:
For household use only!
Use indoors only.
Do not use on wet surfaces.

Use only as described in this manu-
al. Use only manufacturer’s recom-
mended attachments.
Do not use with damaged battery
charger output cord or plug. If appli-
ance is not working as it should, has
been dropped, damaged, left out-
doors, or dropped into water, return
it to a service center.
Do not pull or carry by the battery
charger output cord, do not use bat-
tery charger output cord as a han-
dle, do not close a door on the bat-
tery charger output cord, or pull bat-
tery charger output cord around
sharp edges or corners. Do not run
appliance over battery charger out-
put cord. Keep battery charger out-
put cord away from heated surfac-
es.
Prevent unintentional starting. En-
sure the switch is in off-position be-
fore picking up or carrying the appli-
ance. Carrying the appliance with
your fingers on the switch or ener-
gizing appliance that have the
switch on invites accidents.
Have servicing performed by a
qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the
product is maintained.
Do not modify or attempt to repair
the appliance or the battery pack
(as applicable) except a indicated in
the instructions for use and care.
Do not unplug by pulling battery
charger output cord. To unplug,
grasp plug.
Do not handle battery charger or
appliance with wet hands.
Do not put any objects into open-
ings. Do not use if openings are
blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair,
and anything that may reduce air
flow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers,
and all parts of the body away from
openings and moving parts.
Use extra care when cleaning on
stairs.
Do not use to pick up flammable or
combustible liquids, such as gaso-
line, or use in areas where they may
be present.
Do not charge the unit outdoors.
Use only the charger supplied by
the manufactures to recharge.

Do not incinerate the appliance
even if it severely damaged. The
batteries can explode in fire.
Do not use to pick up toxic material
(chlorine bleach, amonia, drain
cleaner, etc).
Do not pick up anything that is burn-
ing or smoking such as cigarettes,
matches, or hot ashes.
Do not immerse. Use only on sur-
faces moistened by the cleaning
process.
Short circuit hazard! Do not insert
conductive objects (such as screw-
drivers or similar) into the charger
plug.
You may recharge the battery using
only the original charger provided
with the appliance or a charger ap-
proved by KÄRCHER.
In case of visual damage, replace
the charger with original manufac-
turer suggested parts.
Under abusive conditions, liquid
may be ejected from the battery;
avoid contact. If contact accidental-
ly occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from
the battery may cause irritation or
burns.
Do not use a battery pack or appli-
ance that is damaged or modified.
Damaged or modified batteries may
exhibit unpredictable behavior re-
sulting in fire, explosion or risk of in-
jury.
Recharge only with the charger
specified by the manufacturer. A
charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of
fire when used with another battery
pack.
Follow all charging instructions and
do not charge the battery pack or
appliance outside of the tempera-
ture range specified in the instruc-
tions. Charging improperly or at
temperatures outside of the speci-
fied range may demage the battery
and increase the risk of fire.
The voltage indicated on the type
plate must correspond to the supply
voltage.
Store and use the charger in dry
rooms only.
Do not expose a battery pack or ap-
pliance to fire or excessive temper-
ature. Exposure to fire or tempera-
ture above 265°F (130°C) may
cause explosion.
Store and use the charger in dry
rooms only, ambient temperature
41 - 104°F (5 - 40°C)
Store and operate the appliance at
temperatures from 32 - 104°F
(0 - 40 °C).
Never touch the mains plug with
wet hands.
The battery has been tested as per
the relevant directives for interna-
tional transport and can be trans-
ported/shipped.

Insert the handle on the strut.
Insert the struts and the connection
pieces.

Look for the correct orientation of the
grid mark of the struts and connection
pieces.
Insert the charger delivered with the
appliance into a proper socket.
Insert the connector plug into the
appliances's charging socket.
The LED indicator will flash.
The LED indicator will light up con-
stantly once charged fully (approxi-
mately more than 90 minutes be-
fore first use).
The unit is now ready for use.
The battery service life in carpet clean-
ing is max. 20 minutes.
The battery service life in hard floor
cleaning is max. 30 minutes.

During battery charging:
LED blinks green.
The battery is charged:
LED illuminates constantly in green.
LED lights up until the mains plug is re-
moved from the socket.
Operating mode:
LED illuminates constantly in green.
The battery must be charged:
The LED blinks slowly in red approx. 5
minutes before the battery has to be
charged.
Battery is empty:
LED illuminates constantly in red.
Motor blockade:
LED blinks red fast.
Put the device in the parking position
for at least 3 seconds (switch off de-
vice) for troubleshooting.
The appliance is switched off, when
the handle is in an upright position.
Switch on the appliance; press the
handle down.
Move the appliance forward and
backward to clean.

The flexible double joint allows a
simple guiding of the appliance.
To switch off the appliance, bring
the handle in an upright position.
To switch off the appliance, bring
the handle in an upright position.
Empty dirt container after each
cleaning.
To switch off the appliance, bring

Remove the dirt container from the
appliance.
Empty the dirt container.
Re-insert the dirt container

WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock or injury, turn power OFF and
disconnect plug from electrical out-
let before performing maintenance
or troubleshooting.
Never clean the appliance under
running water.
Wipe the appliance using a damp
cloth. Do not use any aggressive
agents, such as cleaning powder.
To switch off the appliance, bring
the handle in an upright position.
Remove the dirt container from the
appliance.
Remove the brush roller.
Remove wound up hair using a
knife or scissors. Move the knife
along the defined cutting edge and
then remove the loosened hair.
Insert the cleaned or new brush roll-
er and ensure that it sits properly.
Charge the battery or remove the
motor blockade (refer chapter
"Charging the battery“).
Clean or replace the brush rollers
(refer chapter "Replace/ clean
brush roller").
Charge the battery (refer chapter
"Charging the battery“).
Empty the full dirt container (refer
chapter "Empty dirt container").

Recycling Corporation) Seal on the LI-
ION (or battery pack) indicates that the
costs to recycle the battery (or battery
pack) at the end of its useful life have
already been paid by KÄRCHER.
RBRC™ in cooperation with KÄRCH-
ER and other battery users, has estab-
lished programs in the United States to
facilitate the collection of spent LI-ION.
Help protect our environment and con-
serve natural resources by returning
the spent LI-ION battery to an author-
ized KÄRCHER service center or to
your local retailer for recycling. You
may also contact your local recycling
center for information on where to drop
off the spent battery. RBRC™ is a reg-
istered trademark of the Rechargeable
Battery Recycling Corporation.
Note
The battery of the appliance is not re-
placeable.
Note
Disconnecting the battery will destroy
the appliance and invalidate the war-
ranty.
The battery should be removed
from the appliance before disposal.
Recycle is possible, because
KÄRCHER appliances are made
from high grade recycable materi-
als.
Recycle of or dispose the battery in
accordance with local regulations
or ordinances.
