Register your docking station at kensington.com/register
1. Connect the power adapter to the DC 20V port on the back of the dock.
Connect the power cable to the power adapter.
Plug the power cable into a wall outlet.
2. Front of the dock from left to right:
One USB-C 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps (5V/1.5A) port appropriate for connecting external hard drives.
One USB-C 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps (5V/0.9A) port appropriate for thumb drives.
One combo audio jack appropriate for headsets.
Back of the dock from left to right:
One DC 20V port.
One USB-C host port that will support up to 100W power delivery to the host laptop. This port is compatible with
USB-C screw lock connectors.
Three DP++ ports to support external monitors.
Three HDMI ports to support external monitors.
The top left DP++ port is for the first external monitor.
The bottom left HDMI port is for the second external monitor.
The middle DP++ and HDMI ports are for the third external monitor.
The right DP++ and HDMI ports are for the fourth external monitor.
One 1Gbps Ethernet port for stable high-speed internet/intranet connectivity.
Four USB-A 3.2 Gen1 5Gbps (5V/0.9A) ports appropriate for connecting mice, keyboards, and thumbdrives.
Side of the dock closest to combo audio jack:
One power button to turn your dock on and off as needed.
3a. For USB-C host, connect the end of the USB-C cable without the screw lock connector to a USB-C port on the host laptop. This will provide power, video, and data capabilties.
3b. For USB-A, connect the USB-A adapter that is attached to the USB-C cable to the USB-A port on the host laptop.
Then connect the USB-C cable to the USB-A adapter.This will provide video and data capabilities.
4. Connect the end of the USB-C host cable with the screw lock connector to the USB-C host port on the back of the dock. Twist the screw lock connector to the right to align it with the lock slot on the dock.

5. Video specifications.
a. For hosts with DP1.2++(HBR2) and USB-C Alt Mode:
Connect first external monitor via Alt Mode to top left DP++ port for 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.
Connect second external monitor via Alt Mode to bottom left HDMI port for 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.
Connect third external monitor via DisplayLink to the middle DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
Connect fourth external monitor via DisplayLink to the right DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
b. For hosts with DP1.4++(HBR3) and USB-C Alt Mode:
Connect first external monitor via Alt Mode to top left DP++ port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz with DSC on.
Connect second external monitor via Alt Mode to bottom left HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz with DSC on.
Connect third external monitor via DisplayLink to the middle DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
Connect fourth external monitor via DisplayLink to the right DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
c. For MacBook M1/M2 Pro/Max host:
Connect first external monitor via Alt Mode to left DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160@60Hz.
Connect second external monitor via DisplayLink to the middle DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
Connect third external monitor via DisplayLink to the right DP++ or HDMI port for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
d. For host with DP1.2++ and USB-C without Alt Mode or DP1.2++ and USB-A:
Connect first external monitor to middle DP++ or HDMI port via DisplayLink for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
Connect second external monitor to right DP++ or HDMI port via DisplayLink for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
6. Windows 10 / macOS / Chrome OS
Visit www.kensington.com/software to download the optional Kensington DockWorks software.
Visit www.displaylink.com/downloads to download the DisplayLink driver required for this dock.
Follow the onscreen prompts to complete installations.
Visit kensington.com/support if you have any questions about installation.
Secure docking station with a Kensington cable lock.
Sold separately: Recommended K65020WW MicroSaver 2.0 Keyed Laptop Lock.
Attach the lock using the standard lock slot noted with a square shaped K icon on the side of the docking station.
Sold separately: Recommended K65021WW Slim NanoSaver 2.0 Keyed Laptop Lock. Attach the lock using the nano lock
slot noted with a hexagon shaped K icon on the side of the docking station.
Attach the cable of the lock to any fixed location such as a table leg.
7. External display specifications.
For Thunderbolt 3**, Thunderbolt 4**, USB4**, and USB-C Alt Mode with DP1.4++ HBR3 (Windows) and DSC:
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for one monitor.
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for two monitors.
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for three monitors.
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for four monitors.
For MacBook M1/M2 Pro or Max:
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for one monitor.
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for two monitors.
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for three monitors.
For USB-C (DP1.2++) or USB-A devices that do not support Alt Mode:
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for one monitor.
Up to 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz* for two monitors.
For high-refresh-rate displays using Thunderbolt 3**, Thunderbolt 4**, USB4**, and USB-C Alt Mode with DP1.4++ HBR3 (Windows) and DSC:
Up to 1080p @ 240Hz* for one monitor.
Up to 1080p @ 240Hz* for two monitors.
*Support for Display Stream Compression (DSC) is based on the capabilities of the host device and monitor.
**This USB-C dock will be compatible with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB4 laptops at a bandwidth of up to 10Gbps.
