GENERAL
FEATURES
The PD series arecompactDCpowersuppliesregulatedby
phase control.Theyhavesufficientreliabilityandaccurate
electrical characteristicsandaresuitablefor research, ex-
periments, agingofmanyhours,andforcontrol,etc.Theyare
provided also with meansofprotectionandremotecontrol.
They aredesigned totally forthe ease ofuse.
*The size iscompactowingtothebuilt-inphase-controlled
preregulator.
* Characteristics ofvoltageregulationandagainst noises in-
cluding ripplesareverygood.
*Bothvoltageandcurrentvary little with temperature.
*Theoutputvoltagemaybechangeableinsmall steps with
a potentiometerturnableasmanyastenpositions.
*TheV/l CHECK switchprovidedpermitsto check the
preset valuesofvoltageandcurrentevenduringoperation.
*TheOUTPUTswitchturnsonandofftheoutput.
*Protectioniscomplete from overvoltage,overcurrent,and
excessive temperature rise. TheOVP CHECK funcitonpro-
videdpermitstopresettheovervoltageprotectionleveland
check thepresetlevelduringoperation.
*Master/slavecontrolispossibleby series andparallel con-

1)CHECKINGINPUTVOLTAGE
1)Keepthepermittedrangeofinputvoltage.Singlephase,
100/120/200/220/240 V AC,±10%(MAX.
250VAC), 50/60 Hz
2)TheadaptedinputvoltageisindicatedattheACinput
terminalontherearpanel.
3)Whenconvertedthelinevoltage,refertothesection
ofMAINTENANCE.
2)POWERCORDCONNECTION
Some modelshavea connectorretainerontheACcord
connector toholdthecord from slippingoff.
For safeoperation,besuretheretainerislocked.

1) Make sure that therear-paneloutputterminalsand
controlterminalsareconnected with jumpersas
shown Fig.2.
2)Theoutputlinesarefloating.Connecteitherofthe
front-paneloutputterminalstoGNDnormally with
short bar.
4)ENVIRONMENTALCONDITIONS
1)Keeptheoperatingtemperaturerangeof0°to40°C.
Iftheambienttemperature rises excessively,the
device's protectionsystemworksandcutsoffpower.
2)Keepcleartheventilationopenings(at sides andbot-
tom)andthepassageoffanair.Installanyother
devices morethan30cmapart from thoseopenings.
3)Avoidtoinstallthepowersupplyina dustyplaceand
wheretherearemuchcorrosive gases.
4)Avoidtoinstallsensitiveinstrumentsonandbesidethe
powersupply.

CV light.Thepowerswitchisautomaticallycutoffwhenpro-
tection(overvoltage/overcurrent/temperature)hasoperated.

switch whentheOUTPUTswitchison.

switch andthevoltmeterreadsthepresetovervoltagepro-
tecitonlevelso that youmaypresetthelevel with theOVP
adjuster 12.
