Quick Start Guide
The CrossLink: LIF-MD6000 Master Link Board
is an evaluation and development platform for the
CrossLink (LIF-MD6000) device. The board also
features a MachXO3LF-1300E FPGA.
In addition to general-purpose resources, the board includes two Tx and two Rx
connectors on the edges of the board for building CrossLink video bridging solutions.

To develop your own designs, you can use the Lattice Diamond software, available at
www.latticesemi.com/diamond.
To re-program the board, you will need Diamond Programmer version 3.7 or later.
Diamond programmer can be downloaded from the Lattice web site at
www.latticesemi.com/programmer.
Note: SW1 is the master power switch. Switch is ON when moved toward the edge of
the board.

Lattice device programmers, programming cables, socket adapters, and other hardware sold for use in conjunction with Lattice
software (“Programming Hardware”) and Lattice evaluation boards and development kits sold for use in conjunction with
evaluating Lattice products (“Development Hardware”) are designed and intended for use solely with semiconductor components
manufactured by Lattice Semiconductor Corporation. Programming and Development Hardware is warranted to meet Lattice
specications only for a period of ninety (90) days; in all other respects the terms and conditions of sale of Programming and
Development Hardware shall be Lattice’s standard terms and conditions set forth in Lattice’s Sales Order Acknowledgment.
Additionally, Lattice specications for Programming and Development Hardware limit their use to low-volume engineering
applications only, and not for volume production use. The warranty for Programming and Development Hardware will not apply to
any Programming or Development Hardware used in production, used with worn or improperly installed hardware, or used with

Power-up Board and Observe Results
The board is pre-programmed with a basic demonstration, which veries the board
is in working order.
Connect 12 V adapter to J3 or connect the included USB mini cable from a powered
source to connector J2
Set SW1 to ON (down) position
Observe the following LEDs
