CHARACTERISTICS
The EuroLine series was specially developed for safes using boltworks where the C/C
measurement between lock and boltwork drive is 100mm . It will also work combined with the
DirectDrive lock EM1620 (EM1520). The ABS* housing of the EuroLine Entry unit combines
an alpha-numeric membrane keypad with a large L-handle (metal) and an integrated battery
compartment. The 8x8 mm square shaft of the handle drives either the lock or a boltwork.
Cable length is approximately 30cm.
*Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, or ABS, (chemical formula (C8H8· C4H6·C3H3N) is a common thermoplastic used to make
rigid, moulded products.
DIMENSIONS/MOUNTING:
The diameter of the cable hole should be minimum 9mm, maximum 12mm. The spindle hole
should be maximum Ø 12mm. Both holes must be de-burred well to avoid damage.

Fit the lock/ boltwork according to manufacturer’s instructions. If EM1620 (EM1520) is fitted
remember to position the star washer between lock and mounting surface. To hold
starwasher put some grease on.
Cut the 8mm square spindle shaft to an appropriate
length. It is recommended to chamfer cut end slightly for
spindle to easier enter the lock/ boltwork during next
step. Make sure the length will allow for shaft to extend
properly into the lock or through the boltwork enough to
lock with star-washer. Affix the shaft with the provided
screw in the handle and bearings and cover the screw
with t
he label.
Hold the unit horizontal and guide keypad cable
through hole and push unit flat against mounting
surface.
Adjust position and fix the entry unit with3x M4
flathead, countersunk screws.
Now place the shaft plate on handle shaft/spindle and
push handle into place. The handle can be fitted at any
of the four angles (0, 90, 180, 270°).

If fitted to a EM1620 (EM1520) the handle will now
be held by the star washer fitted under the lock but if
it is used to drive a boltwork the handle mus
t now be
locked by fitting a star washer on the spindle shaft
and pushing it all the way in whilst holding handle in
position.
Connect one (1) battery to the battery
connector. Only use 9V ALKALINE
Duracell Procell- or Energizer batteries.
Thoroughly clean the edge where keypad membrane is
to be attached. The area must be dry and clean for
glue to catch properly. Feed the cable through the
cable hole. Remove the protective layer from the
adhesive ring on the back of the keypad unit. Position
the keypad and press it into the housing. Do not
remove and re-apply keypad once it has been glued
in the housing!
