Precaution
To reduce the risk of damage or injury, do not attempt to remove
Codeybot’s shell.
Do not place Codeybot near any heat sources.
Adult supervision and assistance are required.
As an extra precaution, check this product regularly for signs of wear or
damage.
Use the supplied USB cable to charge your Codeybot.
Do not charge Codeybot near flammable material or a flammable
surface (carpet, etc) or conducting surfaces.
Do not cover Codeybot while it’s being charged.
The built-in lithium battery cannot be replaced.
Read all safety information and operating instructions
before using your Codeybot to avoid any personal injury
or damage to property.

music and teach coding to kids and adults. This cute little robot is
equipped with an impressive blend of character and technology.
Take control interact and play with Codeybot thru Codeybot app in
many ways.
Before your great adventure with Codeybot, please read this manual
carefully and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

Battery Information
Charging Codeybot
▲Note: Before first use, please make sure to full charge Codeybot.
Codeybot comes with a built-in 2000mAh lithium battery. It supports
up to 3 hours of continuous playing with a single charge.
Connect the micro USB end of the USB cable to the Codeybot.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to PC, or any power
resource with 5V/1A.
The side light will turn green and solid on when the battery is fully
charged.

When the battery grows weak, Codeybot will move very slowly and
may not be responsive to your control. Check battery level by LED
panel or side light:

In the event of battery leakage, avoid contact with skin and eyes.
If your robot is charging and you notice a suspicious smell or noise
or observe smoke around Codeybot, disconnect it immediately
and turn off all sources of heat or flame.
You are solely liable for ensuring that the lithium battery is used
correctly (charging, storage, etc). Makeblock and its distributors
shall have no liability for injury or damage to persons or property
associated with lithium battery use. Make sure to fully recharge the
battery at least once every month even if it’s not going to be played
with for some time.

Download Codeybot
Go to the App Store and
search for “Codeybot ”. Click
download.
For Android:
Go to the Google Play Store
and search for Codeybot .
Click download.
For iPad Only:
Go to the App Store and
search for “mBlockly for
Codeybot”. Click download.
Open Codeybot App, and start exploring.
Press the power button to turn on Codeybot.
Wait 40 to 60 seconds for Codeybot to boot up. You’ll see “Codeybot
XXXXXX” on the LED panel of Codeybot, which means Codeybot is
ready to connect with your smart device.
Turn on the Wi-Fi function of your smart device. Search for the
nearby Wi-Fi until you see “Codeybot XXXXXX” (XXXXXX is a series
of numbers and alphabets varying from one to another). Tap the
name to get connected with Codeybot.
Connected Codeybot successfully.
Codeybot
iPhone®5 and above, iPad®3 or above, iPad®mini or above, iPad Air ™
or above, or select Android™ devices. Apple® devices must be
running iOS 7. 0 or above. Android™ devices must be running Android™
4.0 or above.
To make sure smooth running of Codeybot App from your smart device,
make sure the hardware configuration is dual-core 1.5gHz or
above.

Put the easy-to-install docking station with extendable port , you could

Note : Codeybot standard kit doesn't include any add-ons , which
need to be purchased separately.

FAQ
Q: After powering on Codeybot, why can’t my phone find Codeybot’s Wi-Fi?
A: It takes 40 to 60 seconds for Codeybot to boot up. Wait until you see the
CodeybotXXXXXX on Codeybot’s LED panel, which means it’s ready to be connected
with. Now check the Wi-Fi search list of your smart device, you will see Codeybot’s Wi-Fi.
Q: It shows on my smart device that it has been connected with Codeybot. However,
Codeybot’s LED panel is still displaying CodeybotXXXXXX which means " Waiting to
be connected " ? Why ?
A: After connecting to Codeybot’s Wi-Fi, you need to enter Codeybot App to accomplish
connection.
Q: What’s the name of my Codeybot shown on my smart device’s Wi-Fi search list?
A: The name of your Codeybot shown on Wi-Fi search list will be Codeybot + the last 6
number and alphabet of the mac address.
Q: While I am playing with Codeybot , it says Codeybot App is disconnected with the
machine. Why ?
A: It may be caused by one of the following reasons :
1. You've accidentally turned off the Wi-Fi of your smart device ;
2. Codeybot is out of power ;
3. Interference Wi-Fi Signal ;
4. The distance between Codybot and your smart device has exceeded the working
range .
Q: How long can I use Codeybot after it’s fully charged?
A: 3 hours of continuous play or four hours of standby (after turned on).
Q: How to connect Codeybot with my phone?
A: Turn on Codeybot →Turn on Wi-Fi of your phone →Search for Codeybot →Tap to
connect.
(Check “Getting Started” section of the user manual for details).
Q: Does Codeybot support multi-player game?
A: Not yet. But multi-player function is one of our major targets in the next phase of
development.
If a defect arises:
(1) You may, within 30 days from the date of retail purchase, return this Product to the
place of purchase, together with the original proof of purchase and either the original
box, and this Product will be replaced or, in the event that a replacement for this
Product is not available at the place of purchase, either a refund of the purchase price
for this Product or an store credit of equivalent retail value will be provided; or
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

This product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under
normal use by the original purchaser for 90 days after the date of purchase from an
authorized retailer.
THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to abuse,
misuse, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration,
accident, Acts of God (such as floods or lightning), or excess voltage or current; (b)
improper or incorrectly performed repairs by non-authorized service facilities; (c)
consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) ordinary wear and tear or cosmetic damage;
(e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation,
set-up service, adjustment or reinstallation; (g) claims by persons other than the original
purchaser; and (h) 2nd hand purchase or purchase from a non-authorized
seller/distributor.
Should a problem occur that is covered by this warranty, take the product and the
original sales receipt as proof of purchase date to the place of purchase. The product, at
the warrantor's option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) be repaired without
charge for parts and labor; (b) be replaced with the same or a comparable product; or
(c) a refund of the purchase price will be provided. All replaced parts and products, and
products on which a refund is made, become the property of the warrantor. New or
reconditioned parts and products may be used in the service. Repaired or replaced
parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration
of the warranty period.

We can only provide warranty cover for products sold by Makeblock authorized
distributor.
Manufacturers’ warranties may not apply in all cases, depending on factors such as
use of the product, where the product was purchased, or who you purchased the
product from. Please review the warranty carefully, and contact the manufacturer if
you have any questions.
