Die vorliegende Montage- und Betriebsanleitung beschreibt die richtige Bedie-
nung der Hochleistungsreibahle HPR400. Im Detail erhalten Sie Informationen,
wie Sie die Schneidplatten wechseln und montieren. Zusätzlich werden die wich-
tigsten Sicherheitshinweise beim Umgang mit der Hochleistungsreibahle HPR400
erläutert (nachfolgend auch als „Werkzeug“ bezeichnet).
Nachfolgend erhalten Sie in Kapitel 5 eine detaillierte Beschreibung der einzelnen
Funktionen und Handlungsschritte, die zum erfolgreichen Wechseln der Schneid-
platten notwendig sind.
Die Montage- und Betriebsanleitung ist Bestandteil der Hochleistungsreibahle
und muss in unmittelbarer Nähe und für das Personal jederzeit zugänglich aufbe-
wahrt werden. Grundvoraussetzung für sicheres Arbeiten ist die Einhaltung aller
angegebenen Sicherheitshinweise und Handlungsanweisungen in dieser Mon-
tage- und Betriebsanleitung.
Darüber hinaus gelten die örtlichen Arbeitsschutzvorschriften und allgemeinen
Sicherheitsbestimmungen für den Einsatzbereich des Werkzeugs. Abbildungen in
dieser Montage- und Betriebsanleitung dienen dem grundsätzlichen Verständnis
und können von der tatsächlichen Ausführung abweichen.

Die Bedienung darf nur durch ausgebildetes, autorisiertes und zuverlässiges Fach-
personal erfolgen. Das Fachpersonal muss Gefahren erkennen und vermeiden kön-
nen und muss hierzu dieses Dokument vor der Verwendung der Hochleistungs-
reibahle HPR400 gelesen und verstanden haben.
Die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften, Sicherheitsbestimmungen und -vorschriften des
Maschinenherstellers sind dem Fachpersonal bekannt und vom Fachpersonal bei
der Bedienung des Werkzeugs zu beachten und einzuhalten.
33..22BBeessttiimmmmuunnggssggeemmääßßeeVVeerrwweenndduunngg
•
Die Hochleistungsreibahle HPR400 und ihre Komponenten dienen ausschließ-
lich der zerspanenden Fertigung von metallischen Werkstoffen in Bearbei-
tungsmaschinen im industriellen Einsatz.
•Die Hochleistungsreibahle HPR400 und ihre Komponenten darf nur verwendet
werden, wenn die Einhaltung aller Angaben dieser Betriebsanleitung gewähr-
leistet ist.
•Falls auf dem Werkzeug eine maximale Betriebsdrehzahl vorhanden ist, darf
diese nicht überschritten werden.
•Das Abweichen der Vorschriften kann zu Verletzungen oder Beschädigungen
von Maschinen und Zubehör führen, für die MAPAL keine Haftung über-
nimmt.
33..33NNiicchhttbbeessttiimmmmuunnggssggeemmääßßeeVVeerrwweenndduunngg
•
Das Werkzeug oder die Werkzeugbaugruppe und weitere Komponenten dür-
fen nur entsprechend der offiziellen Vorgaben eingesetzt werden und die
maximale Betriebsdrehzahl darf nicht überschritten werden.
•Die Hochleistungsreibahle HPR400 und zugehörige Komponenten dürfen
nicht verändert und für andere Anwendungen erschlossen werden.
•Im Falle von eigenmächtigen Veränderungen der Hochleistungsreibahle
HPR400 oder von nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung erlischt der Ge-
währleistungsanspruch gegenüber MAPAL.
•Für Schäden aus einer nicht bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung haftet der
Hersteller nicht.

Die Montage- und Betriebsanleitung ist Bestandteil der Hochleistungsreibahle
und muss in unmittelbarer Nähe und für das Personal jederzeit zugänglich aufbe-
wahrt werden. Grundvoraussetzung für sicheres Arbeiten ist die Einhaltung aller
angegebenen Sicherheitshinweise und Handlungsanweisungen in dieser Mon-
tage- und Betriebsanleitung.
Darüber hinaus gelten die örtlichen Arbeitsschutzvorschriften und allgemeinen
Sicherheitsbestimmungen für den Einsatzbereich des Werkzeugs. Abbildungen in

The warranty period is 2244mmoonntthhssfrom the date of delivery ex works on condition
of use for the correct use and observance of the contents of the installation and
operating instructions.
The tool, including all associated components, must not be modified or used for
non-authorised applications. Any modification to the tool or any unauthorised
use will void all warranty claims against MAPAL.
MAPAL expressly declines any liability for accidents or damage resulting from the
use of damaged tools or damaged machine parts. Wear parts are not covered by
the warranty.

The clamping of tools and their installation on a machine tool by untrained and
unauthorised personnel can lead to hazardous situations.
Only trained, authorised and dependable specialist personnel may clamp
tools and install them on a machine tool.
The technical data on the machine connection must be observed by the spe-
cialist personnel.
The specialist personnel must be able to recognise and avoid hazards.

Wear protective gloves when changing inserts.

If the tool is set down with the connection facing up, the tool inserts may be
damaged.
Do not set the tool down on the tool inserts.

Use of a power screwdriver for tightening the clamping screw will result in in-
creased wear of the clamping set.
Tighten the clamping screw only manually.

Clean the tool before beginning to
change the inserts.
Release the clamping screw with the
suitable TORX®-screw driver, to do this
rotate the screw anti-clockwise.
Remove the clamping screw.

Carefully slide the insert up the insert
pocket and remove the insert.

When exchanging an insert all in-
serts must be exchanged!
Remove the remaining inserts.

Clean the insert pocket using com-
pressed air.
Clean the insert pocket with proper use
of cleaning spirit.
IINNFFOORRMMAATTIIOONN
Clean the contact areas of the insert
if they are soiled.

Place the new insert half the way into
the insert pocket.
Press the insert gently into the insert
pocket, at the same time slide the in-
sert axially down into the end position.
Secure the insert with the clamping
screw.

IINNFFOORRMMAATTIIOONN
Tighten the clamping screw only
with a suitable TORX® torque
wrench.
Tighten the clamping screw with a
tightening torque of
33,,11NNmm
.
Repeat the insert change for the re-
maining inserts.
RREESSUULLTT
The inserts have been replaced and
the tool is ready for service.
