SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
General safety instructions
NOTE: Read all warnings, safety instructions and other directives. Failure to follow all the
instructions and safety instructions can result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/or serious
personal injury.
Keep the work area clean and well lit.
Do not use the tool in the rain or in damp areas.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There
is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed. Hold the power tool by the insulated
grips when working in areas where the tool may come into contact with concealed electrical cables.
Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance when using power tools.
When the tool is not in use store it in a dry, dust-free place out of the reach of children.
Only use the tool for its intended purpose.
Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothes, jewellery, watches or the like. They can
fasten in moving parts. Wear a hair net if you have long hair.
Wear safety gloves.
Wear safety glasses. Wear a dust filter mask if the work produces a lot of dust.
Be careful with the power cord. Never use the power cord to carry or pull the tool, or to pull out the
plug from the mains socket.
Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges. A damaged power cord must be
replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to ensure safe use.
Secure the workpiece with clamps, clips, or in a vice.
Switch off the tool and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before touching them.
Always maintain a firm footing and good balance.
Do not use the tool if the power cord or plug are damaged, if it is not working properly, after it has
been dropped, or if the tool is damaged in any other way.
Switch off the tool and unplug the power cord before cleaning and maintenance, when the tool is
not in use.
Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the power cord.
If using the tool outdoors, only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use.
Always check that the tool is in good condition before using it. Make sure that moving parts are
properly adjusted and do not jam, and that no parts are incorrectly fitted or damaged. Check for
other factors that could affect functionality. Do not use the tool if it is damaged. The tool must only
be repaired by an authorised service centre.
At low temperatures and if the power tool has not been used for some time, you should run the tool
with no load for a few minutes before using it to distribute the lubricant.
Clean the tool with a cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent. Do not use solvents or
abrasive detergents.
Wear ear protection.
The tool is a class II electrical appliance, double insulated to provide protection against electric
shock, and has a single-phase motor.
Special safety instructions
Check that the mains voltage at the workplace corresponds with the data on the tool's type plate.
Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the power cord.
Always check that Allan keys/spanners etc. have been removed from the tool before switching it
on.
Never start the tool when any rotating parts are in contact with the workpiece.
Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
Make sure the workpiece is free of nails and foreign objects.
Never try to slow the blade by pressing it against the workpiece.
Never lock or block the blade guard.
Check that the blade is correctly fitted with the correct direction of rotation.
The tool is intended for sawing wood. Do not attempt to saw, or sand, metal or stone.
