1.Product Introduction
1.1.Intended Use
The eStation II is a base (“Base”) which can be used with the qLabs
Electrometer with REF number Q-3, Q-3 Pro, Q-3 Plus and QV-3 Plus (“Meter”)
for testing Coagulation assay manufactured by Micropoint Biotechnologies Co.,
Ltd. (“Micropoint”) to provide extended functions such as power supply, printing
and data transmission etc.

2.Product Overview

A. ON-OFF Button
The ON-OFF button controls the power supply of the Base.
B. Printer Cover
Open the printer cover to replace the thermal paper.
C. Printer Cover Button
Rotate this button to open the printer cover.
D. Charging Port
The charging port will charge the Meter. The built-in magnetic interface will
automatically position the Meter for proper alignment.
E. Blue Ring Light Strip
The blue ring light strip indicates the working condition of the Base and the
connection status between the Base and the Meter. Constantly illuminated light
strip indicates the Base is powered on and Bluetooth is connected correctly.
The light strip ashes, indicating the Base is powered on but Bluetooth is not
connected or interrupted;If the ring light strip is ashing, it indicates that the
software is updating now and the process will last for about one minute. Do not
turn off the power.
F. Charging Port Slot
Charge the Meter by placing into this slot.
G. Network Port
The network port enables data transmission by direct connection to a computer.
Data transmission and software upgrade via computer data management
software. Directly connect for LIS/HIS to realize data transmission.
H. Power Interface
Connection port of the AC adapter.
I. Serial Port
Directly connect the serial port to a computer, and then set the Base network
port, upgrade the Base software and transmit data externally via data
management software of the computer.

3.Precautions and Warnings
eStation II is a base intended for use with the meter to provide
extension functions such as power, print and data transfer. Some
environmental factors and incorrect operation will cause eStation II
unable to run effectively and report correct results. Please read this
manual carefully before use and should strictly abide by it.
☻Please use the device in accordance with the method specied by Micropoint, failure
to do so may damage the protection provided by the device.
☻The device is a delicate instrument and should be handled with care. Dropping or other
mishandling may cause malfunction.
☻Do not disassemble the device.
☻Do not use this device in a place with high frequency vibration.
☻When connecting the power supply or any other external power, care should be taken
to avoid electric shock.
☻Do not use the device in an environment below 10 °C or above 35 °C and humidity
greater than 90%.
☻Do not use the device in a dry environment, especially in the presence of synthetic
materials such as synthetic clothing, carpets, etc. Failure to do so may cause
damaging electrostatic discharges.
☻Do not use the device where aerosol droplets are present or where oxygen is being
controlled.
☻Do not use this device outdoors.
☻Do not use the device near mobile phones or wireless phones, walkie-talkies, garage
door openers, radio transmitters, or other electronic devices. The source of these
electromagnetic radiation may interfere with proper operation of the device.
☻Strict surveillance should be performed when the device is used by or used for
children, persons with disabilities, patients or is used near them.
☻When the device is connected to the adapter, do not leave the device. Unplug the
adapter immediately after use.
☻Do not place the device in a location where it is difcult to remove the adapter. If a
malfunction occurs, the operator should immediately remove the adapter.
☻If the device is abnormal or damaged (such as the adapter or power cord is damaged),
please stop using the device immediately.
☻Other operations are prohibited during use.

4.Installation Instructions
4.1.Connect the Base
1). Connect the Base to the AC power supply with the power adapter
supplied with the Base (For detailed specication, please see the
working voltage in Chapter 6).
2). Connect the Base to the USB port on the PC with the USB cable
supplied with the Base.

4.2.Install Thermal Paper
Rotate down the printer cover button to open the thermal printer cover.

Place the new thermal paper into the paper roll slot. (Note that the curled side of
the paper as shown below, allow a small portion of the paper extended outside
of the printer cover).
CAUTION:
The printer head may generate high temperature during printing. Please take
care to prevent burns.
