Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel
that you are familiar with the appliance.
• To protect against the risk of electric shock,
DO NOT IMMERSE the motor end of this
appliance, cord set or plug in ater or any
other liquid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children
or infirm persons ithout supervision. Never
leave an appliance unattended hen in use.
• Children should be prevented from playing ith
the appliance.

Operate on a dry level surface. Operating on sinks,
drainboards or uneven surfaces must be avoided
.
• S itch off the po er outlet and remove the plug
hen the appliance is not in use; before
assembling or disassembling parts; and before
cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from
the po er outlet. Never pull the cord.

Do not operate any appliance ith a damaged
cord or plug; after the appliance malfunctions; or
if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner

• The use of attachments or accessories not
recommended or sold by the manufacturer

Instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.

• This appliance is intended to be plugged in a
240v outlet only.

the appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts

• Do not add ingredients to the cup hile the
appliance is operating.
• Ensure the cup is properly in place before
operating the appliance.

as it contains a sharp mixing blade.
• Do not use this appliance ith an extension lead.

operation.

Ensure the packaging of this appliance is disposed
of properly. Keep plastic bags a ay from babies
and children.
• NEVER reach for an appliance that has fallen into
ater. S itch off the po er outlet and unplug
the appliance immediately.
• Do not s itch this appliance on ithout the cup
in place.
• Do not tamper ith the cup-interlocking s itch.

Congratulations on the purchase of your ne Mistral
Shake Maker.
You can no make milk shakes in minutes for you and
your friends. Let your imagination run ild creating
an endless variety of milk, fruit and diet drinks.
Before first using your ne Shake Maker, it is most
important that you read and follo the instructions
in this use and care booklet, even if you feel you are
familiar ith this type of appliance.
Your attention is dra n particularly to the section
dealing ith IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a safe
and convenient place to keep this booklet handy for
future reference.
This appliance has been designed to operate from a
standard domestic po er outlet. It is not intended
for industrial or commercial use.
Before first use
Carefully unpack the Shake Maker and remove all
packaging material.
Wash the stainless steel cup in arm soapy ater.
Clean the mixing blade and shaft ith a damp cloth
and dry thoroughly before use.
Note: Do not immerse the motor housing in
water or any other liquid.
Place the Shake Maker on a dry level surface and
plug it into a standard domestic po er outlet.
Ensure that the 2 speed s itch is in the “0” position.
Place ingredients to be mixed in the stainless steel
cup, being careful not to fill above the “MAX” mark.
Place the stainless steel cup onto the Shake Maker,
ensuring the top of the cup is located behind the top
support. The base of the stainless steel cup should
rest on the bottom bracket. The interlocking tabs on
the base of the stainless steel cup fit into the bottom
bracket.
Press the 2-speed s itch to either “I” or “II” to start
mixing the drink.
Note: If ingredients splash out of the stainless
steel cup, reduce the speed or liquid level.
When mixing is complete, press the 2 speed s itch
back to the “0” position.
Remove the stainless steel cup by lifting it up and
out of the Shake Maker. Pour the drink into a cold
glass or cup and serve immediately.
Note: Do not run the Shake Maker
continuously for more than 5 minutes at a
time, as doing so will overheat the motor and
reduce the life of the appliance.

Ensure the Shake Maker is s itched off and
disconnected from the po er outlet.
To clean the mixing blade, fill the stainless steel cup
ith 1 cup of arm ater. Operate the Shake Maker
on “I” speed for 30 seconds before removing the
stainless steel cup and drying the mixing blade and
shaft thoroughly ith a dry cloth.
The stainless steel cup should be hand ashed in
arm soapy ater.
Note: Do not put the stainless steel cup in the
dishwasher.
To clean the Shake Maker, ipe ith a damp cloth.
Ensure the cloth is not excessively et and that no
moisture enters the motor housing. Do not use
abrasive cleaners.
Note: D N T IMMERSE the motor end of this
appliance, cord set or plug in water or any
other liquid.
Most drinks can be mixed in less than t o minutes.
Whole fruit should not be used hen making fruit
drinks. Mash or puree fruit before adding it to the
stainless steel cup.
For best results, all liquid ingredients should be ell
chilled. Milk drinks ill taste best if the milk is ice
cold. The colder the milk, the thicker and more
frothy the drink.
All syrups and po dered mixes should be added
just before mixing to prevent them from sinking to
the bottom of the stainless steel cup.
The Shake Maker ill not crush ice. Use pre-crushed
ice if the recipe calls for ice.
