Disassemble the head and ring, put them back into the blister and discard
everything in a biohazard container.
Désassembler la tête et l’anneau, les remettre dans le blister et détruire
l’ensemble dans un conteneur adéquat.

WARNING! Do not touch the separator with the
threaded shaft (as shown below in the picture), it
would damage it.

Screw the locking screw clockwise to assemble the head on the handpiece.
Check that the locking screw is screwed on tightly to the head (picture A).
The head should not be able to move.

Vérifier que l'écrou du moteur soit bien serré sur la tête (photo A). La tête ne
doit pas pouvoir bouger.

Once assembled, inspect the separator under a microscope.
Après assemblage, inspecter le séparateur sous microscope.
WARNING! Do not mount the Epi-K™ head upside
down (picture D).
ATTENTION ! Ne pas monter la tête Epi-K™ à l'envers
(photo D).
Assemble the handpiece on the suction ring
Assembler le moteur sur l'anneau de succion
Prior to use, lubricate the rails of the suction ring (1) and the separator (2,3)
with balanced salt solution or another appropriate solution.
Avant utilisation, lubrifier les glissières de l’anneau de succion (1) et le
séparateur (2,3) avec du sérum physiologique ou toute autre solution
ophtalmique appropriée.
Activate the motor to check if the separator is engaged and oscillates
properly.
Activer le moteur afin de vérifier que le séparateur est bien engagé et oscille
correctement.
When inserting the head in the rails
of the suction ring, the handpiece
should be at a 45 degree angle from
the metal threaded shaft of the ring
to prevent the shaft from touching the
separator.
À l'insertion de la tête dans le rail
de guidage de l’anneau de succion,
le moteur doit être à un angle de
45° par rapport à la tige filetée
de l’anneau afin d’empêcher que
le séparateur ne s’endommage en
touchant l’anneau.
Once the head is well inserted in
the rails of the suction ring, gently
decrease the 45° angle to 0° and
advance slightly the head into the
ring.
Une fois la tête insérée dans les rails
de guidage de l’anneau, descendre
doucement de l’angle à 45° jusqu’à
0°. Avancer ensuite délicatement la
tête dans l’anneau.
