4. Once assembled, inspect separator under the microscope.

5. Lubricate the EPI-K™ separator prior to use with BSS® (Trade mark of
Alcon) or another appropriate solution.

6. Activate the handpiece to check if the separator is engaged and oscillates
properly.

When inserting the head in the rails
of the suction ring, the handpiece
should be at a 45 degree angle from
the metal threaded shaft of the ring
to prevent the shaft from touching the
head and separator assembly (6).

Once the head is well inserted in
the rails of the suction ring, gently
decrease the 45° angle to 0° and
advance slightly the head into the
ring (7).

1. Remove inner plastic pack from outer peel pouch
Retirer le pack du sachet pelable
2. Place the pack with head screw up (1) and open top of the pack (2)
Placer le pack de façon à ce que le pas de vis de la tête soit vers le haut (1)
et ouvrer la partie supérieur du pack (2).
3. Screw the locking screw clockwise to fix the head on the handpiece. Check
that the head is screwed on tightly to the handpiece. There should be no
rotation of the head (3-4-5).
Visser l’écrou du moteur sur la tête dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
Vérifier que la tête est bien serrée sur le moteur. La tête ne doit pas avoir de
rotation une fois montée (3-4-5).
