2. WARNING! Do not touch the separator (as shown below
in the picture) with the threaded shaft, it would damage
the edge of the separator (8).
ATTENTION! Ne pas toucher le séparateur (comme
indiqué ci dessous) avec la tige filetée car il
endommagerait l’extrémité du séparateur (8).
Disassemble EPI-K single use head
Démonter la tête EPI-K à usage unique
To disasemble EPI-K™ single use head, insert it into the pack and unscrew
the locking screw anticlockwise. Discard everything in a biohazard
container (9-10-11).
Afin de désassembler la tête EPI-K™ à usage unique, remettre la tête dans
le pack et dévisser l’écrou du moteur dans le sens inverse des aiguilles
d’une montre. Détruire l’ensemble dans un conteneur adéquat (9-10-11).

4. Once assembled, inspect separator under the microscope.
Après assemblage, inspecter le séparateur sous microscope.
5. Lubricate the EPI-K™ separator prior to use with BSS® (Trade mark of
Alcon) or another appropriate solution.
Lubrifier le séparateur EPI-K™ avant la découpe avec du BBS® (Marque
déposée Alcon) ou toute autre solution appropriée.
6. Activate the handpiece to check if the separator is engaged and oscillates
properly.
Activer le moteur afin de vérifier que le séparateur est bien engagé et oscille
correctement.
Assemble the handpiece on the suction ring

When inserting the head in the rails
of the suction ring, the handpiece
should be at a 45 degree angle from
the metal threaded shaft of the ring
to prevent the shaft from touching the
head and separator assembly (6).
Quand vous insérer la tête dans
le rail de guidage de l’anneau de
succion, le moteur doit être à un
angle de 45° par rapport à la tige
filetée de l’anneau afin d’empêcher
que le séparateur ne s’endommage
en touchant l’anneau (6).
Once the head is well inserted in
the rails of the suction ring, gently
decrease the 45° angle to 0° and
advance slightly the head into the
ring (7).

doucement de l’angle à 45° jusqu’à
0°. Avancer ensuite délicatement la
tête dans l’anneau (7).

Tête de l’epikératome à usage unique

1. Remove inner plastic pack from outer peel pouch
Retirer le pack du sachet pelable
2. Place the pack with head screw up (1) and open top of the pack (2)
Placer le pack de façon à ce que le pas de vis de la tête soit vers le haut (1)
et ouvrer la partie supérieur du pack (2).
3. Screw the locking screw clockwise to fix the head on the handpiece. Check
that the head is screwed on tightly to the handpiece. There should be no
rotation of the head (3-4-5).
Visser l’écrou du moteur sur la tête dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
Vérifier que la tête est bien serrée sur le moteur. La tête ne doit pas avoir de
rotation une fois montée (3-4-5).
