4.5.1. Setup Measurement Mode
Apart from ion concentration, meter can run ion measurement unit, conductive measurement unit
and DO unit simultaneously. Each unit has one individual measurement display window. The first
window displays three measurement parameters, one is the main measurement parameter, the
second is auxiliary measurement parameter and the third is present temperature value. Other
window only displays one measurement parameter.
The ion measurement unit takes pH/pX measurement parameter and ion concentration as
main parameter while potential value as auxiliary parameter.
Conductive unit takes Conductivity, TDS and Salinity as main parameter while resistivity as
auxiliary parameter.
DO unit takes dissolved oxygen and Saturation as main parameter while DO current as
auxiliary.
Meter also allows user to select individual parameter to measure. Meanwhile, meter supports three
measurement modes: Continuous mode, Timed Reading and Balance mode.
Ion concentration supports Direct Reading.
When you have selected relevant main parameter and measurement mode, you can still measure
according to this setting next time.
Generally, if you selected one main parameter under a certain function mode, meter still allows
you to view at random all parameter under this function mode.
For example, if you select conductivity under conductive mode, in measurement, you can still
view, store, print other parameter such as TDS, salinity, etc…, (except pH and PX. they can not be
selected simultaneously.)

Note:
Meter has power management technology. In order to reduce power consumption, prolong
the life of battery, it is not necessary to select the parameter which will not be measured.
For example, if you only need to measure pH, you can select pH parameter only.
If you use continuous measurement mode, the power is always on and the power
consumption is the biggest.
If you use timed measurement mode and balance measurement mode, when meter finishes
one measurement, it will turn off the power of this mode automatically, therefore the
power consumption is less.
So we suggest you to use timed measurement mode and balance measurement mode for
saving power.

Press ‘CANCEL’ key to exit View pH Stored.
If you want to print current calibration data, you could connect USB connecting line (equipped
with meter) with computer and press ‘PRINT’ to print out calibration data.
Set pH STD Group
Meter has automatic distinguishing function, can distinguish 10 standard buffer solutions. You
can make multi-points calibration but mostly not exceeds 5 points. Because pH range of 10
standard buffer solutions maybe duplicated, in order to ensure the precision of measurement
result, user needs to establish relevant STD group.
For example, if you want to use 4.003pH, 9.182pH STD to calibrate electrode slope, you can set
STD group as 4.003pH and 9.182pH. In normal, meter can automatically distinguish these two
standard buffer solutions.
Press “START”(F1) and then press F3 key to “PARA”, then press “ENTER” key in “View pH Para”
Press ‘GROUP’(F2) to enter into current STD group, displayed as following chart.
It displays current STD group is group 1. System provides total
3 kinds of STD group which is Group 1, Group 2 and custom
group(Custom).
In which:
STD group 1 includes 4.003pH、6.864pH、9.182pH buffer solution.
STD group 2 includes 3.776pH、7.000pH、10.012pH buffer solution.
Custom allows you select by yourself but mostly 5 buffer solution.
You can switch the STD group by pressing ‘←→’ (F1) and press ‘SELECT’(F3) to select
necessary STD group.
You can also set your own STD group. Move arrow icon(F1) to custom group(Custom), press
‘SETUP’(F2) to set self-defining STD group which is displayed as the following chart.
In the window, there are 10 figures in correspondence to 10
standard buffer solutions in ‘Set Custom Group’ window.
These 10 standard buffer solutions are 1.679pH, 3.557pH,
3.776pH, 4.003pH, 6.864pH, 7.000pH, 7.413pH, 9.182pH,
10.012pH and 12.454pH. Under the figure is standard pH
value of STD at 25.0℃.
