INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing the S-LINE BORE GAUGE.
This product is a two-point mechanical instrument for measuring the ID of bores and holes relative to a reference
standard. Instrument can be used with a Dial Gauge, Digital Indicator Gauge, Electronic Sensor, etc.
●For safe and proper use of this product, please read this instruction manual before use and follow the procedures described.
Please keep manual where it is accessible to user for future reference.
●Keep this manual with the instrument if transferred or leased to a third party.

PREPARATION
①Select a combination of Extension Rod and Washers as close as possible to the ID of the part to be measured.
※Must be withing measuring range of attached Gauge.
※For SCDI-8S、12S、20S the Extension Rod and Washer attach directly to the Measuring Head.
For SCDI-35S、60S、100S、160S、attach the Extension Rod and Washer using the Clamp Nut.
②Attach a measuring instrument such as a dial gauge (sold separately)to the Instrument Body.
OPERATION
※SSCDI Series Bore Gauge is a comparative gauge and requires a Reference Master such as a ring gauge to set
up for comparative measurements.
※Prepare a Reference Master appropriate for the dimensions of the part to be measured.
※Before use, make sure the components on the Measurement Head are all securely attached and not loose.

Prepare a Ring Gauge to use as a reference standard for setting
the zero-point. Insert the Measurement Head into the ring gauge.
② In the direction perpendicular to the Ring Gauge axis, position the
Bore Gauge to measure diameter ⓐshown in the cross section
(Fig. 1). This is the maximum distance, and the Gauge will show
the minimum reading. The Guide moves to automatically position
the Gauge Head at this diameter when inserted.
③ In the cross section shown in Figure 2, parallel the Ring Gauge
axis though diameter ⓐ, position the Bore Gauge to minimize the
distance ⓑ. In this position the Gauge will read the maximum
value.
This position is determined by manually moving the gauge and
noting the position where the Pointer shows the maximum value.

④ The reading obtained at step ③is the zero-point. Set the Gauge
to zero and the zero point is now set. (Fig. 4)

Clean outside surfaces regularly using a cloth to remove any
dirt or contamination.
Use a cloth dampened with a cleaning solution if required for
excess dirt.
After use, place in a rust preventive bag or use a corrosion
inhibiting oil for protection.
Store in supplied case, protected from direct sunlight or
humid environments, and accessible only to authorized
personnel.
AFTER USE CARE, STORAGE
SETTING THE 0-POINT
Insert the Measurement Head of the Bore Gauge into the
object to be measured. As in step ③of “Setting the 0-
Point”above, pivot the gauge while checking the pointer to
determine the diameter ⓑwhere the gauge will show the
maximum value to determine the measurement reading.
This measurement will be the difference in diameter between
the part and the reference Ring Gauge.

この商品は内径基準とその寸法差を測定するための機械式2点比較測定器です。ダイヤルゲージ、精密指示計、電子
プローブなどを取り付けて使用できます。
●正しく安全にお使いいただくため、ご使用の前に本取扱説明書を必ず読み、記載の手順に従ってご使用ください。
お読みになった後は、お使いになる方がいつでも見ることができる場所に大切に保管してください。
●第三者に譲渡・貸与される場合も、この説明書を必ず添付してください。

注意
ご使用前に
①測定対象物の内径にできるだけ近くなるよう、換えロッドとワッシャを組み合わせて選択し、測定ヘッドに取り
付けてください。
※測定器の測定範囲でご使用ください。
※SCDI-8S、12S、20Sは、直接測定ヘッドにねじで換えロッドとワッシャを固定してください。
SCDI-35S、60S、100S、160Sは、換えロッド取付ねじで換えロッドとワッシャを固定してください。
②ダイヤルゲージなどの測定器（別売）を、測定器ホルダに取り付けてください。
測定方法
※SCDIシリーズは、比較測定器であり、測定する寸法を決定するためにリングゲージ等の内径用マスタが必要です。
用意する基準マスタは、測定する内径の寸法公差に合わせてください。
※ご使用の前に、測定ヘッドと外筒の間がゆるんでいないか確認し、ゆるんでいたら締め付けてください。
①最初に０点を調整します。
基準とするリングゲージを用意し、測定ヘッドを差し込んで
ください。
②円筒の軸に垂直な断面において、直径ⓐは最大値となり、測
定器は最小値を指します。（図１）
この直径ⓐは、可動する案内板によって自動的に求められます。
③直径ⓐを通る円筒の軸に平行な断面において、直径ⓑは最小
値となり、測定器は最大値を指します。（図２）
この直径ⓑは、手動で求めます。
シリンダゲージを（図３）のように振り、測定器が最大値を示
す点を探してください。
④③で求められた点が、０点となります。
測定器を調整し、０に設定してください。（図４）
●正常に作動しない場合や、不明な点がございましたらお買い上げの販
売店または、発売元までご連絡ください。
●お問い合わせや、ご連絡が無いまま直接発売元に修理品などを送付さ
れても処理、対応ができない場合がありますのでご了承ください。
修理の際は
●外部から触れることのできる研磨部品は、定期的に清潔な
布で拭いて汚れを除去してください。
●汚れがひどい場合は測定器用の洗浄液等を使用して清潔な
布でふき取ってください。
●防錆油を薄く塗るか、防錆袋に入れるなどの防錆処理を
行ってください。
●付属のケースに収納し、直射日光や湿気を避け、管理者以
外が触れない状態で保管してください。
使用後のお手入れ・保管方法
０点の調整
測定物にシリンダゲージの測定ヘッドを差し込み、測定します。
上記「０点の調整」③と同様に、目盛を確認しながらシリンダ
ゲージを振り、直径位置ⓑ（測定器が最大値を示す点）で測定を
行ってください。
基準リングゲージからの差の値が表示されます。

●Sラインシリンダゲージシリーズの測定器は、指定さ
れた測定範囲および取扱説明書に基づいてご使用くだ
さい。
●精密機器ですので、落としたりぶつけたりしないでく
ださい。
●分解・改造はしないでください。
●防水・防錆仕様ではありません。水や油のかかるとこ
ろでは使用しないでください。
●換えロッド・ワッシャなどは付属のものを使用し、他
との併用は避けてください。
●直射日光の当たる場所や炎天下の車の中、火のそばな
どに放置しないでください。
●使用後は柔らかい布などでゴミや切粉などを取り除き、
換えロッド・ワッシャなどは防錆処理をして、収納
ケースの元の位置に保管してください。
●本製品は内径測定用機器です。
用途以外のご使用は、事故やけがの原因となりますの
で絶対におやめください。
●行き精度：2µm ●戻り誤差：2.5µm ●繰返し精度：0.5µm
※精度はすべて、本体のみの数値です。測定器を取り付けた時の総合精度は、上記の精度に測定器の精度が付加されます。
