CONGRATULAZIONI... per l’acquisto del tuo nuovo casco.
Il design, l’ergonomia, il confort, il peso contenuto, l’aerodinamicità, i comandi semplici e
funzionali; il tutto è stato progettato e realizzato per ottenere un prodotto moderno e dalle
massime prestazioni, in grado di soddisfare le più elevate esigenze in termini di sicurezza
e comfort.
SICUREZZA E NORME D’USO
•IMPORTANTE!
-Leggi questo libretto e tutti gli altri documenti inclusi prima di utilizzare il tuo
casco perché contengono importanti informazioni che ti aiuteranno ad utilizzare
al meglio il casco, in tutta sicurezza e semplicità.
-Non attenersi a queste istruzioni potrebbe ridurre la protezione data dal casco e
quindi la tua incolumità.
• UTILIZZO DEL CASCO
- Il casco è progettato in modo specifico per l’uso motociclistico; perciò non garantisce la
medesima protezione per un uso diverso.
- In caso d’incidente, il casco è un elemento di protezione che permette di limitare lesio-
ni e danni alla testa. Ma nonostante ciò, non è in grado da solo di eliminare i rischi di
ferite gravi e/o mortali, le quali dipendono dalle diverse dinamiche specifiche dell’impat-
to; quindi guida con prudenza.
- Indossa sempre il tuo casco ben allacciato alla guida di motocicli, in modo da sfruttar-
ne tutta la protezione disponibile.
- Non indossare mai sciarpe sotto il sistema di allacciatura o cappelli sotto il casco.
- Il casco può attutire i rumori del traffico. Comunque, in tutti i casi, assicurati di percepi-
re bene i suoni necessari quali clacson e sirene di emergenza.
- Tienilo sempre lontano da fonti di calore, come ad esempio la marmitta di scarico, l’al-
loggiamento del bauletto o in un abitacolo di un mezzo di trasporto.
- Non modificare e/o manomettere il casco (anche solo in parte) per nessun motivo.
Monta solo accessori e/o ricambi originali adatti al tuo specifico modello di casco.
- Danni al casco, che possono essere causati da cadute accidentali, non sempre sono
ben visibili; ogni casco che abbia subito un urto violento deve essere sostituito.
- In caso di dubbi sull’integrità e sicurezza del casco, astieniti dall’utilizzarlo e rivolgiti ad
un rivenditore autorizzato, per farlo ispezionare.
•SCELTA DEL CASCO
Taglia:
- per individuare la taglia corretta, indossa caschi di diverse misure, e scegli quello che
risulta saldamente a posto, ma in tutto comfort.
- un casco troppo grande può scendere sino a coprire gli occhi, oppure ruotare lateral-
mente durante la guida.
- tienilo in testa per alcuni minuti e verifica che non ci siano zone di pressione, che alla
lunga possono provocare indolenzimento o mal di testa.
Scalzamento:
- con il casco indossato e il cinturino ben allacciato, prova a sfilarti il casco come indica-
to in figura (Fig A). Infatti, in caso di incidente, gli impatti ricevuti da diverse direzioni,
tendono a far scalzare il casco dalla testa.

ITALIANO
- il casco non deve ruotare, muoversi liberamente sulla testa o sfilarsi. In caso contra-
rio regola la lunghezza del cinturino o cambia taglia del casco. Ripeti di nuovo il test.
Sistema di ritenzione:
- il sistema di ritenzione (cinturino) è regolato di serie con una lunghezza standard;
prima di utilizzarlo verifica la corretta pre-regolazione.
- assicurati sempre che il cinturino sia bene allacciato e stretto in modo da tenere il
casco fermo sulla testa. In qualsiasi caso, prima di partire, assicurati che il cinturino
sia ben stretto sotto il mento, il più indietro possibile verso la gola, ma senza che sia
scomodo.
- la giusta tensione del cinturino ti deve permettere una respirazione e una deglutizio-
ne normale, ma senza riuscire a far passare un dito fra cinturino e gola.
-Attenzione: il bottone eventualmente presente sul cinturino ha esclusivamente la fun-
zione di impedire lo sventolio della parte terminale dello stesso, dopo che si è provve-
duto ad allacciarlo correttamente.
• VISIERA
- Se la visiera è danneggiata e presenta graffi marcati che riducono la visibilità, è proba-
bile che il trattamento protettivo sia stato compromesso, e pertanto la visiera deve esse-
re sostituita.
- Non applicare adesivi e vernici.
- La visiera è utilizzabile esclusivamente per il modello di casco per cui è stata pro-
gettata.
• MANUTENZIONE E PULIZIA
- Danni al casco, che possono essere causati da cadute accidentali, non sempre sono
ben visibili; ogni casco che abbia subito un urto violento deve essere sostituito.
-Attenzione: il casco e la visiera possono essere seriamente danneggiati da alcune
sostanze comuni senza che il danno sia visibile. Per le operazioni di pulizia del casco
e della visiera, utilizza solo acqua tiepida e sapone neutro; asciuga a temperatura
ambiente, a riparo dal sole e/o da fonti di calore.
-Attenzione: non utilizzare mai benzina, diluente, benzolo, solventi o altre sostanze chi-
miche perchè possono:
• danneggiare irrimediabilmente il casco
• modificare le proprietà ottiche, ridurre le proprietà meccaniche ed indebolire il tratta-
mento protettivo della visiera.

ISTRUZIONI D’USO
SISTEMA DI APERTURA DELLA MENTONIERA
Questo casco è equipaggiato con un innovativo sistema di apertura della mentoniera
DUAL ACTION che ne evita l'apertura accidentale.
Nota: per calzare il casco non è necessario aprire la mentoniera.
1 APERTURA
1.1 Aprire completamente la visiera.
1.2 Spingere verso l'esterno la leva rossa di sicura facendola ruotare con il pollice (Fig. 1).
Posizionare l'indice sopra la leva di apertura e spingerla verso il basso, in modo da
sbloccare la mentoniera (Fig. 2).
1.3 Tirare in avanti la mentoniera apribile ed accompagnarla nel suo movimento di rota-
zione verso l’alto (Fig. 3).
2 CHIUSURA
2.1 Tirare la mentoniera verso il basso accompagnandola nel suo movimento di rotazio-
ne fino a sentire gli scatti del meccanismo di chiusura.
2.2 Accertarsi che la mentoniera sia correttamente agganciata.
ATTENZIONE!!!
- Non guidare il motociclo con la mentoniera aperta. La mentoniera DEVE esse-
re chiusa ed agganciata quando il motociclo è in movimento.
- Non utilizzare il casco privo di mentoniera.
- Non utilizzare il casco in caso di malfunzionamento della mentoniera, rivolger-
si immediatamente ad un rivenditore autorizzato Nolan.
- Non smontare e/o manomettere le viti di fissaggio della mentoniera alla calotta.
SISTEMA MECCANISMO VISIERA
1 Smontaggio
1.1 Staccare le placchette A1 e A 2 da entrambi i lati esercitando una leggera trazione
verso l’esterno sulla parte superiore (Fig. 4).
1.2 Sbloccare i nottoli di fissaggio B alle loro estremità tirandoli leggermente verso l’ester-
no e ruotandoli dalla pos.1 alla pos.2 (Fig. 5).
1.3 Togliere i nottoli facendo attenzione a non smarrire le molle di lavoro situate all'inter-
no dei nottoli di fissaggio B.
1.4 Rimuovere la visiera.
2 Montaggio
2.1 Posizionare la visiera sul casco chiuso in posizione di visiera chiusa.
2.2 Iniziare da un lato ed assicurarsi che il dente di fasatura dell'ingranaggio di recupero
automatico della visiera (C) sia correttamente innestato nella cava di fasatura della
visiera (D) (Fig. 6).

2.3 Inserire il nottolo di fissaggio visiera B e ruotarlo dalla posizione 2 alla posizione 1 fino
a bloccare l'estremità nel perno (E) di fissaggio nottolo (Fig. 5).
Attenzione: il nottolo destro (R) è diverso dal sinistro (L).
2.4 Posizionare le placchette A2 e A1 alloggiando le linguette di aggancio nelle apposite
sedi ed esercitare una leggera pressione fino a sentire lo scatto di aggancio.
ATTENZIONE!!!
- Per un corretto funzionamento è fondamentale che il dente di fasatura sia corretta-
mente inserito nella rispettiva cava sulla visiera.
- Verificare che il sistema funzioni correttamente. Aprire la visiera; alzando la mento-
niera, la visiera si deve chiudere automaticamente.
IMBOTTITURA DI CONFORTO INTERNA AMOVIBILE
(solo per le versioni equipaggiate con interno amovibile)
1 Estrazione
1.1 Aprire il sottogola (vedi istruzioni relative) e tirare un guanciale, dalla parte anteriore,
verso l’interno del casco per sganciare il bottone di fissaggio posto sul retro, quindi
ripetere l’operazione anche con l’altro guanciale (Fig. 8).
1.2 Estrarre il guanciale sx dal casco facendo sfilare la bandella sinistra del sottogola dal-
l’asola presente nel guanciale; sganciare l’occhiello del paranuca dal bottone di fis-
saggio posizionato sul retro del guanciale stesso (Fig. 9).
1.3 Sganciare la linguetta posteriore di fissaggio sx dal supporto fissato alla calotta inter-
na deformando leggermente la guarnizione di bordo della calotta e tirando legger-
mente l’imbottitura di conforto, in corrispondenza della nuca, verso l'interno (Fig. 10).
Successivamente ripetere l’operazione anche con la linguetta centrale e posteriore dx.
1.4 Sfilare la linguetta laterale sx dalla sede tra calotta interna ed esterna tirando l’imbot-
titura di conforto verso l’interno del casco (Fig. 11). Ripetere l’operazione anche con
la linguetta laterale dx.
1.5 Sganciare la linguetta frontale di fissaggio sx dal supporto fissato alla calottta interna
tirando leggermente l’imbottitura di conforto verso l’interno del casco (Fig. 12), quin-
di ripetere l’operazione anche con la linguetta centrale e con la linguetta frontale dx.
1.6 Estrarre l’imbottitura di conforto interna dal casco.
2 Montaggio
Per montare l’imbottitura di conforto interna dopo che è stata estratta, ripetere, inverten-
dole, le operazioni dal punto 1.6 al punto 1.1:
2.1 Inserire correttamente l’imbottitura di conforto all’interno nel casco.
2.2 Agganciare le linguette frontali di fissaggio nel supporto fissato alla calotta interna
spingendo leggermente la cuffia verso l’esterno del casco (Fig. 12).
2.3 Infilare le linguette laterali dx e sx dell’imbottitura di conforto spingendole tra la calotta
interna e quella esterna (Fig. 11).
2.4 Agganciare le linguette posteriori destra, centrale e sinistra dell’interno di conforto
nelle rispettive sedi del supporto posto nella zona nuca (Fig. 10). Per effettuare questa

operazione, deformare leggermente la guarnizione di bordo della calotta e spingere
fino a sentire il clic degli agganci.
2.5 Infilare il nastro e la bandella sinistra del sottogola nell’asola presente nel guanciale
sinistro (Fig. 9).
2.6 Infilare le linguette posteriori del guanciale sx tra la calotta esterna e quella interna;
spingere il guanciale verso la parte posteriore del casco avendo l’accortezza di inse-
rire l’occhiello del paranuca attorno al bottone di fissaggio posizionato sul retro del
guanciale stesso; quindi premere la parte anteriore del guanciale per agganciare il
bottone di fissaggio posto sul suo retro (Fig. 8). Ripetere le operazioni 2.5 e 2.6 con
il guanciale destro.
ATTENZIONE!!!
- Estrarre l’imbottitura solo quando è necessario pulirla o lavarla.
- Non usare mai il casco senza aver rimontato completamente e correttamente la sua
imbottitura interna di conforto ed i suoi guanciali.
- L'imbottitura di conforto interna non deve mai essere lavata in lavatrice.
- Per eseguire le operazioni sopra esposte non utilizzare mai attrezzi e utensili.
• NFRS - NOLAN FOG RESITANT SYSTEM
(utilizza la licenza del brevetto
Pinlock ® )
1 MONTAGGIO
1.1 Smontare la visiera.
1.2 Rimuovere la pellicola di protezione del Visierino interno sul lato in contatto con la
visiera.
1.3 Assicurandosi che la superficie interna della visiera sia pulita.
Attenzione: l’eventuale presenza di polvere tra le due visiere può causare dei graffi
su entrambe le superfici.
1.4 Appoggiare un lato del Visierino interno a uno dei due perni della visiera e tenerlo in
posizione, vedi fig. 13.
1.5 Allargare la visiera e incastrare all’altro perno il secondo lato del Visierino interno,
vedi fig. 14.
1.6 Rilasciare la visiera.
1.7 Rimuovere la seconda pellicola di protezione dal Visierino interno.
Attenzione: verificare l’eventuale movimento tra visierino e visiera; in questo caso
agire sui perni eccentrici, utilizzando un cacciavite, per regolare l’aderenza (Fig.15).
1.8 Montare la visiera sul casco.
ATTENZIONE!!!
- Verificare il corretto montaggio del sistema aprendo e chiudendo la visiera.
- Visiere e Visierini Interni danneggiati da graffi possono ridurre la visibilità e devono
essere sostituiti.

2 SMONTAGGIO
2.1 Smontare la visiera equipaggiata con il Visierino.
2.2 Allargare la visiera, automaticamente il Visierino interno uscirà dalle sedi.
• WIND PROTECTOR
Questo accessorio permette di migliorare le prestazioni del casco in particolari condizioni
di utilizzo.
Il paravento (Wind Protector) evita spiacevoli infiltrazioni d’aria da sotto il mento. Vedi Fig. 16
per il montaggio e lo smontaggio.
ATTENZIONE!!!
L'accessorio paravento è facilmente amovibile. Il corretto montaggio di questo accessorio
è verificabile tirandolo delicatamente, con pollice e indice, verso l’interno del casco. Se si
rimuove ripeti le operazioni di montaggio.
VISION PROTECTION SYSTEM (VPS)
Il nuovo ed esclusivo Vision Protection System (VPS) è uno schermo parasole stampa-
to in e trattato antigraffio, posizionato all’esterno della visiera, semplice e como-
do da utilizzare: basta abbassarlo per renderlo attivo o sollevarlo per escluderlo dal
campo visivo. E’ utile in tutte le situazioni, nei lunghi tratti extraurbani o per brevi per-
corsi cittadini. L’innovativo meccanismo di rotazione - sincronizzato con l’apertura della
visiera - garantisce il miglior funzionamento in ogni condizione di guida. Il VPS può
essere facilmente smontato quando non necessario o per le normali operazioni di
manutenzione e pulizia.
Funzionamento del VPS
Il VPS è posizionato esternamente alla visiera ed il suo meccanismo di funzionamento è
stato concepito per fare in modo che durante il normale uso della visiera lo schermo para-
sole resti cautelativamente in posizione alzata, senza cioè che si verifichi alcuna minima
riduzione delle trasmittanza della luce offerta dalla visiera omologata del casco.
Il meccanismo del VPS permette poi, con un semplice movimento, di rendere attivo lo
schermo parasole abbassandolo sino ad impegnare parzialmente il campo visivo della
visiera, determinando la desiderata riduzione della trasmittanza della luce. In ogni momen-
to, sempre con un semplice movimento ed in modo indipendente dalla visiera, il VPS può
essere poi disattivato ed essere quindi rapidamente risollevato sino a ripristinare le nor-
mali condizioni di visibilità e protezione offerte dalla visiera omologata del casco.
Quando è disattivato, il VPS ha comunque le peculiarità di un frontino parziale e come tale
può aiutare a proteggere il campo visivo in modo indiretto, ad esempio in caso di leggera
pioggia.
Il VPS è stato poi concepito per essere smontato dal casco in modo semplice, rapido e
senza la necessità di utilizzare utensili. A tal fine vengono appositamente fornite delle
coperture laterali ausiliari da montare sul casco in assenza del sistema VPS.

Precauzioni d’uso
Gli attuali standard omologativi (ECE22-05) stabiliscono che i livelli minimi di trasmittanza
luminosa delle visiere debbano essere superiori all’80% durante la guida notturna e
comunque non inferiori al 50% durante quella diurna. Ciò rende molto frequente, per non
dire quasi obbligatorio, il ricorso all’uso di occhiali da sole - che determinano una trasmit-
tanza risultante molto inferiore al 50% - durante la guida diurna in condizioni meteorologi-
che e ambientali con luce particolari, per esempio con forte luminosità causata da un’ele-
vata intensità e/o incidenza dei raggi solari, allo scopo di ridurre l’affaticamento degli occhi
nelle lunghe percorrenze o ridurre il rischio di abbagliamento diretto rispetto all’uso delle
sole visiere omologate. Tuttavia l’utilizzo di occhiali da sole rende particolarmente difficol-
tose le eventuali manovre di emergenza derivanti dalla necessità di ripristinare rapidamen-
te la massima visibilità offerta dalla visiera del casco, come ad esempio accade quando si
entra in un tunnel o, in generale, si verificano delle repentine variazioni della luminosità
ambientale. Grazie al suo meccanismo di funzionamento ed al fatto di essere posizionato
esternamente alla visiera omologata, nel caso del VPS tali manovre risultano invece esse-
re semplificate.
ATTENZIONE
• Il VPS può essere attivato solo di giorno e nelle condizioni ambientali sopra descritte.
• Il VPS deve essere disattivato o rimosso dal casco di notte e/o in condizioni di scarsa
visibilità.
• Verificare sempre che il posizionamento del VPS sia adeguato alle varie condizioni
meteorologico-ambientali e/o alle raccomandazioni d’utilizzo sopra esposte.
• Raccomandiamo di montare il VPS solo ed esclusivamente in abbinamento alla visiera
di serie omologata, avente cioè valore di trasmittanza superiore all’80%.
• Verificare sempre che il VPS e la visiera siano puliti e correttamente funzionanti in
modo che attivando il VPS non si provochino graffi e/o usure anomale della visiera.
• In assenza del VPS raccomandiamo di montare sempre le coperture laterali ausiliari.
• Per le operazioni di manutenzione e pulizia del VPS e della visiera vedere l’apposita
sezione del manuale d’uso del casco.
Istruzioni montaggio del VPS
Partendo dal casco predisposto di serie per accogliere il sistema VPS eseguire le seguen-
ti operazioni e verifiche:
1. Staccare la copertura laterale ausiliare sinistra facendo leva nell’apposito incavo e tirando-
la verso l’esterno come in Fig.17. Procedere poi allo stesso modo per il lato destro.
2. Prendere il VPS ed accertarsi che i cursori esterni di entrambi i lati siano posizionati in
avanti come nella Fig. 18.
3. Chiudere la mentoniera del casco e la visiera e, posizionare il VPS come in Fig. 19
(“VPS attivo”), assicurandosi che su entrambi i lati, i pioli di riferimento “A” alloggino
nelle apposite asole dei meccanismi (Fig. 20).
4. Fissare il VPS al casco facendo scorrere i cursori laterali verso la parte posteriore del
casco come in Fig. 21.

Controllare che il VPS funzioni correttamente eseguendo le seguenti fasi:
A. Aprire completamente lo schermo parasole VPS facendolo ruotare verso l’alto e supe-
rando gli scatti intermedi.
B. Verificare che in tale posizione (“VPS inattivo”), illustrata in Fig. 22, lo schermo paraso-
le VPS resti aperto in modo stabile.
C. Aprire la visiera verificando che durante tale manovra lo schermo parasole VPS resti
fermo nella stessa posizione fino a quando la visiera lo raggiunge e, successivamente,
venga trascinato dalla visiera stessa fino alla completa apertura di quest’ultima.
D. Chiudere la visiera e verificare che durante tale manovra lo schermo parasole VPS resti
inizialmente in posizione completamente alzata e, successivamente, venga trascinato
verso il basso restando infine in posizione intermedia, senza pertanto entrare nel
campo di visibilità, come ottenuto al termine della fase A (“VPS inattivo”).
E. Chiudere completamente lo schermo parasole VPS facendolo ruotare verso il basso e
superando gli scatti intermedi fino a portarlo in posizione sovrapposta alla visiera (“VPS
attivo”).
Durante tali operazioni controllare che i tasti del meccanismo VPS e le placchette laterali
restino sempre fermi.
In caso di malfunzionamento, ripetere correttamente tutte le operazione sopra indicate.
Istruzioni smontaggio del VPS
Per rimuovere il sistema VPS dal casco chiudere la mentoniera del casco e la visiera e,
con il VPS in posizione abbassata (“VPS attivo”), far scorrere in avanti i cursori del VPS
fino a posizionarli come in Fig. 19. Staccare poi il VPS dal casco tirando leggermente
verso l’esterno le estremità laterali.
Rimontare le coperture laterali ausiliarie su entrambe i lati della visiera inserendo la lin-
guetta posteriore nell’apposita sede del meccanismo e premendole poi in corrispondenza
dell’incavo anteriore sino ad agganciarle a scatto al meccanismo sottostante (vedi Fig. 17).
Attenzione: la copertura laterale destra (R) è diversa da quella sinistra (L).
Verificare che il montaggio sia stato eseguito in modo corretto aprendo e chiudendo la
visiera del casco.
- Dopo ogni operazione di smontaggio e montaggio dei vari particolari controllare sem-
pre il corretto funzionamento del meccanismo visiera aprendola e chiudendola; se
necessario ripetere le operazioni sopra descritte.
- Se i meccanismi d'apertura e chiusura della visiera e/o del VPS presentano dei malfun-
zionamenti o danneggiamenti, rivolgersi ad un rivenditore autorizzato Nolan.
- Per le operazioni di smontaggio e rimontaggio della visiera, rimuovere il VPS o le coper-
ture laterali ausiliarie dal casco come sopra spiegato e vedere poi l’apposita sezione del
manuale d’uso.

This helmet has been designed and created to be a modern, high performing product, able
to satisfy the most demanding requests as for safety and comfort. This is made possible
by the helmet design, its being ergonomic, comfortable, extremely light and aerodynamic
and, last but not least, by its practical and easy-to-use controls.
SAFETY AND NORMS OF USE
•IMPORTANT!
-Before using the helmet read this booklet and all enclosed documents carefully,
in that they contain very important indications on how to use the helmet easily
and safely.
-Failure to observe these instructions may reduce the protection provided by the
helmet and consequently your safety.
•USING THE HELMET
- The helmet has been specifically designed for motorcycle use hence, for any use
different from the intended one, equal protection is not guaranteed.
- In case of accident, the helmet represents a protective element, which reduces injuries
and head damage. This notwithstanding, it cannot alone prevent serious and/or fatal
injuries due to the specific accident dynamics, therefore drive carefully.
- When driving any motorcycle, always wear the helmet properly fastened in order to fully
exploit its protection.
- Never wear scarves under the fastening system or caps under the helmet.
- The helmet can muffle traffic noises. However make sure that you can hear essential
sounds such as horns and emergency vehicle sirens.
- Always keep the helmet away from heat sources like the exhaust muffler, the bag seat
or the interior of a vehicle.
- Do not modify nor damage the helmet or part of it for whatsoever reason. Use only
original accessories and/or spare parts suitable for your specific helmet model.
- Damage resulting from accidental fall may not be visible; helmets, which received
violent impacts, are to be replaced.
- In case of doubt about the helmet integrity and safety, avoid using it and contact an
authorized dealer to let it check.
• CHOOSING THE HELMET
Size:
- In order to determine the correct size, try on helmets of various sizes, and then choose
the one, which fits firmly, but being comfortable.
- Should the helmet be too big, it may slide down covering the eyes or turn slowly to the
side while riding.
- Keep it on for a few minutes and make sure there are no points of extreme pressure
that may cause pain or headache.
Taking off the helmet:
- With the helmet on and the strap well fastened, try to take off the helmet as shown in
the figure (Fig. A). Indeed, in case of accident, the impacts tend to slide off the helmet
from the head.

- The helmet should not rotate nor move on the head and should not slide off. Should
the contrary happen, adjust strap length or change helmet size. Repeat test.
Retention System:
- The retention system (strap) is factory-adjusted at a standard length. Before use,
check that it is correctly pre-adjusted.
- Make sure the strap is properly fastened and tightened so as to keep the helmet
firmly in place. Anyway, before riding, make sure that the strap is well fastened under
the chin, as close as possible to the throat, but without being uncomfortable.
- The correct strap tension should allow normal breathing and swallowing, but without
leaving the space of a finger between strap and throat.
-Attention: the button which may be present on the strap only prevents its end from flap-
ping once the strap has been fastened properly.
•VISOR:
- If the visor is damaged or deeply scratched causing reduced visibility, this means that
the protective treatment is probably damaged so the visor is to be replaced.
- Do not paint nor apply stickers.
- The visor can be used only for the intended helmet model.
• MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Damage resulting from accidental fall may not be visible; helmets, which received
violent impacts, are to be replaced.
-Attention: Helmet and visor may be seriously damaged by some common substances
without the damage being however visible. Use only lukewarm water and mild soap to
clean helmet and visor, and then let them dry at room temperature away from sunrays
and/or heat sources.
-Attention: Never use petrol, thinner, benzene, solvents nor other chemicals which may:
• Irreparably damage the helmet
• Modify optical properties, reduce mechanical ones and weaken the visor protective
treatment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CHIN-GUARD OPENING SYSTEM
This helmet is equipped with an innovative chin guard opening system, the DUAL ACTION,
which prevents it from accidentally opening.
Note: it is not necessary to open the chin guard when putting the helmet on.
1 OPENING
1 .1 Open the visor completely.
1 .2 Push the red safety lever outwards by turning it with your thumb (Fig. 1).
Place your forefinger on top of the opening lever and push it downwards so as to lock
the chin guard (Fig. 2).
1 .3 Pull the flip-up chin guard forward, accompanying it as it rotates upwards (Fig. 3).
2 CLOSING
2 .1 Pull the chin guard downwards, accompanying it as it rotates, until you hear the clicks
of the closing mechanism.
2.2 Make sure that the chin guard is properly fastened.
IMPORTANT!!!
- Do not ride the motorcycle with the chin guard open. The chin guard MUST be
closed and fastened while riding the motorcycle.
- Do not use the helmet without the chin guard.
- Do not use the helmet in case of faulty chin guard, contact immediately an
authorized Nolan dealer.
- Do not remove nor tamper the screws that connect the chin guard to the shell.
2 CLOSING
2.1 Pull the chin guard downward and rotate until it snaps.
2.2 Make sure that the chin guard is correctly locked.
Warning: the chin-guard must be kept closed and locked wazhen the vehicle is mov-
ing.
VISOR MECHANISM
1 Disassembly
1 .1 Remove the cover plates A1 and A2 from both sides by lightly pulling the upper part.
(Fig. 4 ).
1.2 Unlock the locking bolts B by lightly pulling and rotating them from position 1 to posi-
tion 2. (Fig. 5).
1.3 Remove the bolts making sure not to lose the service springs which are inside the
bolts B.
1.4 Remove the visor.

2 Assembly
2.1 Put the visor in the closed position on the closed helmet.
2.2 Begin from one side and make sure that the hooking tooth of the visor automatic
recover mechanism (C) is correctly engaged in the visor reference slot (D) (Fig. 6).
2.3 Insert the locking bolt B and rotate it from position 2 to position 1 until its end is
blocked by the fixing pivot (E) (Fig. 5).
Attention: The right locking bolt (R) is different from the left one (L).
2.4 Position the plates A2 and A1 by placing the hooking splines in their seats and push
slightly until you hear the hooking click.
WARNING!!!
- For a proper functioning it is fundamental that the hooking tooth is correctly inserted
in the corresponding slot on the visor.
- Verify that the system works properly: open the visor. When raising the opening chin-
guard, the visor must close automatically.
REMOVABLE & WASHABLE COMFORT PADDING
(only for versions with removable inner padding)
1 Extraction
To remove the helmet inner padding, carry out the following operations:
1.1 Undo the chin strap (see relevant instructions), then remove one of the cheek pads
by pulling its front end towards the inside of the helmet, to snap open the button on
the pad rear end. Repeat the same operations for the other cheek pad (Fig. 8).
1.2 Remove the left cheek pad from the helmet by pulling the left chin strap out of the slot
of the cheek pad; release the roll-neck buttonhole from the snap button on the back
of the cheek pad (Fig. 9).
1.3 Release the rear fixing flap on the left-hand side from its support in the inner shell, by
gently working the shell edge seal and pulling the comfort padding at the nape height
towards the inside (Fig. 10). Then do the same for the central flap and the rear right-
hand flap.
1.4 Release the left-hand side flap from its seat between the inner shell and the outer
shell, by pulling the comfort padding towards the helmet inside (Fig. 11). Repeat the
same operation also for the right-hand side flap.
1.5 Release the front fixing flap on the left-hand side from its support in the inner shell,
by gently pulling the comfort padding towards the inside of the helmet (Fig. 12). Then
do the same for the central flap and the front right-hand flap.
1.6 Extract the comfort padding from the helmet inside.
2 Fitting
To refit the inner comfort padding, reverse the order of point 1.6 and 1.1 operations:
2.1 Correctly insert the inner padding into the helmet.
2.2 Insert the visor fixing front flaps into the shell support, by gently pushing the liner
towards the helmet outside (Fig. 12).

2.3 Insert the right-hand and left-hand side flaps into the inner comfort padding by push-
ing them between the inner shell and the outer shell (Fig. 11).
2.4 Insert the left- front- and right-hand padding rear flaps in the special support in the
nape area (Fig. 10). To do this, gently work the shell edge seal and push until you hear
the locks go click.
2.5 Insert the band and the left chin strap in the special slot in the left cheek pad (Fig. 9).
2.6 Insert the rear flaps of the left cheek pad between the outer and the inner shells; push
the cheek pad towards the back of the helmet and insert the roll-neck snap button
located on the back of the cheek pad into the slot. Then press the front part of the
cheek pad in order to hook the snap button located on the back of the cheek pad. (Fig.
8) Repeat steps 2.5 and 2.6 on the right cheek pad.
WARNING!!!
- Take out the inner padding only to clean and wash it.
- Never use your helmet without having correctly and completely replaced the inner
comfort padding as well as the cheek pads.
- Do not machine wash.
- Never use any tools to carry out the above-described operations.
• NFRS – NOLAN FOG RESISTANT SYSTEM
(uses the patent licence of Pinlock ®)
1 INNER VISOR ASSEMBLY
1.1 Remove the visor.
1.2 Remove the protective film from the inner visor on the face in contact with the visor.
1.3 Check the inner surface of the visor is clean.
Attention: the presence of dust between the visors can produce scratches on both
surfaces.
1.4 Rest one side of the inner visor on one of the visor pins and hold it in position (Fig. 13).
1.5 Open the visor and fasten the other side of the inner visor to the second pin (Fig. 14).
1.6 Release the visor.
1.7 Remove the second protective film from the inner visor.
Attention: Check that both visors are tightly connected and do not move; if they do,
adjust the spring pins using a screwdriver to set the adherence (Fig. 15).
1.8 Fit the visor in the helmet.
ATTENTION!!!
- Make sure that the system has been assembled properly by pulling up and down the
visor.
- Scratched visors and inner visors can cause reduced visibility and must therefore be
changed.

2 DISASSEMBLY
2.1 Remove the visor equipped with inner visor.
2.2 Widen the visor: the inner visor will come off automatically.
•WIND PROTECTOR
This accessory allows improved helmet performance under certain conditions of use.
The Wind Protector prevents annoying infiltration of air under the chin area. See Fig. 16
for assembling and disassembling.
WARNING!!!
The Wind Protector is easily removable. You can check the correct assembling of this
accessory by pulling it gently towards the inner part of the helmet with your thumb and
forefinger. If it moves, repeat the assembling operations.
VISION PROTECTION SYSTEM (VPS)
The new and exclusive Vision Protection System (VPS) is a moulded, antiscratch-
treated sunscreen positioned on the outside of the visor. Using it is very simple and prac-
tical: just pull it down or up to activate/exclude it from the field of vision. Useful in all sorts
of situations, whether it's on long journeys out of town, or shorter trips about town. The
innovative rotating mechanism – synchronized with the opening of the visor– ensures per-
fect functioning in all riding conditions. The VPS is easy to remove when it is not needed,
or for normal maintenance and cleaning operations.
VPS operation
The VPS is positioned on the outside of the visor and its operating mechanism has been
conceived to ensure that the sunscreen remains precautionary open when using the visor
in normal conditions. This means that the light transmittance guaranteed by the approved
visor of the helmet is not at all reduced.
The VPS mechanism also allows to activate the sunscreen by simply lowering it until it par-
tially covers the visor field of vision. In this way, the desired light transmittance reduction
is achieved. At any moment, with a simple movement and independently from the visor,
the VPS can be deactivated and pulled up to restore the normal visibility and protection
conditions guaranteed by the approved visor.
Even when not in use, the VPS can serve as a partial peak, helping to indirectly protect
the field of vision, e.g. if it rains slightly.
The VPS has been designed to ensure an easy, quick and tool-free disassembly. For this
reason, special auxiliary side covers are supplied for the assembly on the helmet in case
the VPS system is not present.

Precautions for use
The current approval standards (EEC 22-05) state that the minimum light transmittance
levels must be greater than 80% when riding at night and not lower than 50% when riding
during the day. For this reason, when riding during the day in particular brightness weath-
er conditions, e.g. very strong sunlight, the use of sunglasses - determining a transmit-
tance much lower than 50% - turns out to be advisable, if not compulsory, to reduce eye
tiredness in case of long trips. In the same way, sunglasses are necessary to reduce the
risk of direct dazzling as opposed to the use of the mere approved visors. The use of sun-
glasses makes it however difficult to carry out possible emergency operations when the
maximum visibility range of the visor is to be restored. Just think, for example, of what hap-
pens when you enter a tunnel or when unexpected changes in brightness occur. Thanks
to its operating mechanism and to its position on the approved visor outside, the VPS
makes these operations much easier.
ATTENTION
• The VPS can be activated only during the day and in the environmental conditions
described before.
• At night and/or in scarce visibility conditions, the VPS is to be deactivated or removed
from the helmet.
• Always check that the VPS is properly positioned according to the different
weather/environmental conditions and/or to the above mentioned usage recommenda-
tions.
• We recommend assembling the VPS only and solely together with the approved stan-
dard visor, which has a transmittance value greater than 80%.
• Always make sure that the VPS and the visor are clean and operating correctly in order
to avoid scratches and/or anomalous wear to the visor.
• If the VPS is not present, we advise you to always assemble the auxiliary side covers.
• As for the VPS maintenance and cleaning operations, please refer to the proper sec-
tion in the helmet user’s manual.
VPS assembly instructions
Starting from the standard helmet, designed for the assembly of the VPS system, carry out
the following procedures and checkouts:
1. Pull the left auxiliary side cover outwards as in Fig. 17 to prize it off. Carry out the same
steps on the right side.
2. Take the VPS and verify that the external sliders on both sides are facing forward as in
Fig. 18.
3. Close the helmet chin guard and the visor, then position the VPS as in Fig. 19 (“active
VPS”), making sure that the reference pins “A” on both sides are fit in the proper mech-
anism slots (Fig. 20).
4. Fasten the VPS to the helmet by sliding the side sliders towards the helmet rear part as
in Fig. 21.

Check the VPS correct functioning by carrying out the following steps:
A. Pull up the VPS sunscreen completely by sliding it upwards and skipping the interme-
diate notches.
B. Make sure that in this position (“inactive VPS”) - shown in Fig. 22 - the VPS sunscreen
remains steadily open.
C. Pull up the visor and make sure that the VPS sunscreen remains in position until it is
reached by the visor, and that it then slides with the visor until it is fully open.
D. Pull down the visor and check that the VPS sunscreen remains fully open at first and
that it is later pulled downwards to the same intermediate position as at the end of step
A (“inactive VPS”). This way it does not affect visibility.
E. Pull down the VPS sunscreen completely by sliding it downwards, skipping the interme-
diate notches until it overlaps the visor (“active VPS”).
While carrying out these procedures, make sure that the VPS mechanism buttons and the
side plates remain still.
In case of malfunctioning, repeat all the above mentioned procedures correctly.
VPS disassembly instructions
To remove the VPS system from the helmet, close the chin guard and the visor. With low-
ered VPS (“active VPS”), slide the VPS sliders forward until they are as in Fig. 19. Detach
the VPS from the helmet by slightly pulling outwards the side ends.
Reassemble the auxiliary side covers on both sides of the visor by inserting the rear flap
into the special mechanism housing. Hook the covers to the mechanism below by press-
ing them onto the front hollow (see Fig. 17). Attention: the right side cover (R) is different
from the left one (L).
Pull the helmet visor up and down to check the correct assembly.
- After each assembly or disassembly procedure of the different parts, always check that
the visor mechanism works properly by pulling the visor up and down; if necessary,
repeat the steps described above.
- If the visor and/or VPS pulling-up /-down mechanisms are damaged or malfunctioning,
refer to a Nolan authorised dealer.
- To disassemble and reassemble the visor, remove the VPS or the auxiliary side covers
as explained before and refer to the proper section in the user’s manual.

• VERWENDUNG DES HELMS
- Der Helm wurde speziell für die Verwendung beim Motorradfahren entworfen; daher
garantiert er nicht den selben Schutz, wenn er anderswertig eingesetzt wird.
- Im Fall eines Unfalls ist der Helm ein Schutzgerät, das es ermöglicht, Kopfverletzungen
und –schäden zu begrenzen. Trotzdem ist er nicht allein in der Lage, das Risiko schwe-
rer und/oder tödlicher Verletzungen auszuschließen, welche von den unterschiedlichen
spezifischen Verlaufsweisen des Aufpralls abhängen; fahren Sie daher vorsichtig.
- Setzen Sie beim Motorradfahren immer Ihren gut festgezogenen Helm auf, um den
größtmöglichen Schutz zu erhalten.
- Legen Sie niemals Schals unter dem Verschlusssystem an und setzen Sie unter dem
Helm keine Mützen auf.
- Der Helm kann die Verkehrsgeräusche abdämpfen. Versichern Sie sich in jedem Fall,
dass Sie die nötigen Geräusche wie Hupen und Notsirenen gut hören.
- Bewahren Sie den Helm fern von Wärmequellen auf, wie zum Beispiel dem
Auspuffrohr, dem Kofferraum oder dem Innenraum eines Verkehrsmittels.
- Verändern und/oder beschädigen Sie den Helm in keinem Fall (auch nicht teilweise).
Montieren Sie nur Originalersatzteile und/oder –zubehörteile die eigens für Ihr
Helmmodell vorgesehen sind.
- Beschädigungen des Helms, die durch ein versehentliches Fallen verursacht werden
können, sind nicht immer sichtbar; jeder Helm, der einem heftigen Stoß erfahren hat,
muss ersetzt werden.
- Sollten Sie über die Unversehrtheit und Sicherheit Ihres Helms im Zweifel sein, benut-
zen Sie ihn nicht und wenden Sie sich an einen autorisierten Fachhändler, um ihn
untersuchen zu lassen.
• HELMWAHL
Größe:
- Um die richtige Größe zu ermitteln, setzen Sie Helme unterschiedlicher Ausmaße auf
und wählen Sie den, der fest aber völlig bequem anliegt.
- Ein zu großer Helm kann über die Augen herabsinken oder während der Fahrt seitlich
verrutschen.
- Behalten Sie ihn einige Minuten lang auf, um zu verifizieren, dass keine Druckstellen
bestehen, die auf längere Zeit Gefühllosigkeit oder Kopfschmerzen verursachen können.

Abstreifen des Helms:
- Versuchen Sie den aufgesetzten und festgeschnallten Helm wie in der Abbildung
(Abb. A) gezeigt abzustreifen. Bei einem Unfall tendieren die aus unterschiedlichen
Richtungen kommenden Stöße nämlich dazu, den Helm vom Kopf zu streifen.
- Der Helm darf sich weder drehen, noch sich frei um den Kopf herum bewegen oder
abstreifen lassen. In entgegengesetztem Fall regulieren Sie die Kinnriemenlänge
oder wählen Sie eine andere Helmgröße. Wiederholen Sie den Test.
Rückhaltesystem:
- Das Rückhaltesystem (Kinnriemen) ist in Serie auf eine Standardlänge eingestellt;
vor der Verwendung kontrollieren Sie die richtige Vor-Einstellung.
- Versichern Sie sich immer, dass der Kinnriemen gut verschlossen und festgezogen ist,
damit der Helm fest auf dem Kopf sitzt. Versichern Sie sich in jedem Fall vor der
Abfahrt, dass der Kinnriemen unter dem Kinn eng anliegt, so weit wie möglich in
Richtung des Halses, aber ohne unbequem zu sein.
- Die richtige Kinnriemenspannung muss ihnen ein normales Atmen und Schlucken erlau-
ben, es darf aber nicht möglich sein, einen Finger zwischen Riemen und Hals zu stecken.
-Achtung: der Knopf, welcher sich am Ende des Kinnriemens befindet, hat ausschließ-
lich die Funktion, das Flattern des Endstücks zu verhindern, nachdem er korrekt fest-
geschnallt worden ist.
• VISIER
- Ist das Visier beschädigt und weist es deutliche Kratzer auf, welche die Sicht behindern,
ist es möglich, dass die Schutzbehandlung lädiert wurde; in diesem Fall muss das
Visier ersetzt werden.
- Bringen Sie keine Aufkleber oder Lackfarben an.
- Das Visier ist ausschließlich für das Helmmodell, für das es entworfen wurde, verwendbar.
• INSTANDHALTUNG UND REINIGUNG
- Beschädigungen des Helms, die durch ein versehentliches Fallen verursacht werden
können, sind nicht immer sichtbar; jeder Helm, der einem heftigen Stoß erfahren hat,
muss ersetzt werden.
- Achtung: Der Helm und das Visier können durch einige übliche chemische Substanzen
ernsthaft beschädigt werden, ohne dass der Schaden sichtbar ist. Für die Reinigung
des Helms und des Visiers nur lauwarmes Wasser und Neutralseife verwenden; bei
Raumtemperatur im Schatten und fern von Wärmequellen trocknen lassen.
- Achtung: Keinesfalls Benzin, Verdünnungsmittel, Benzol, Lösungsmittel oder andere
chemische Substanzen verwenden. Diese können:
• den Helm unwiederbringlich beschädigen
• die optischen Eigenschaften verändern, die mechanischen Eigenschaften verringern
und die Schutzbehandlung des Visiers schwächen.

GEBRAUCHSANLEITUNG
ÖFFNUNGSSYSTEM DES KINNTEILS
Dieser Helm ist mit dem innovativen Öffnungsmechanismus DUAL ACTION für das
Kinnteil ausgestattet, der die versehentliche Öffnung verhindert.
Hinweis: um den Helm aufzusetzen, muss das Kinnteil nicht geöffnet werden.
1 ÖFFNUNG
1.1 Das Visier vollständig öffnen.
1.2 Den roten Sicherungshebel nach außen drücken, indem er mit dem Daumen gedreht
wird (Abb. 1).
Den Zeigefinger auf den Öffnungshebel legen und diesen nach unten drücken, um
das Kinnteil zu entriegeln (Abb. 2).
1.3 Das aufklappbare Kinnteil nach vorne ziehen und die Drehbewegung nach oben mit
den Händen führen (Abb. 3).
2 SCHLIESSUNG
2.1 Das Kinnteil nach unten ziehen und in der Drehbewegung führen, bis das Einrasten
des Schließmechanismus zu hören ist.
2.2 Sicherstellen, dass das Kinnteil korrekt eingehakt ist.
ACHTUNG!!!
- Während der Fahrt sollte das Kinnteil geschlossen sein. Das Kinnteil MUSS
geschlossen und eingehakt sein, wenn sich das Motorrad in Fahrt befindet.
- Der Helm darf ohne Kinnteil nicht benutzt werden.
- Im Falle von Defekten des Kinnteils darf der Helm nicht benutzt werden.
Wenden Sie sich unverzüglich an einen Nolan-Händler.
- Die Schrauben für die Befestigung des Kinnteils an der Helmschale dürfen
weder abgenommen noch verändert werden.
VISIERMECHANISMUS
1 Abnehmen
1.1 Entfernen Sie die Seitendeckel A1 und A2 auf beiden Seiten, indem Sie an der
Oberkante ziehen (Abb. 4).
1.2 Die Sicherungsplättchen B bei der Gravur “PULL” etwas anheben und von Position 1
zu Position 2 drehen (Abb. 5).
1.3 Entfernen Sie die Plättchen B, aber verlieren Sie dabei nicht die Rastzapfen, welche
sich auf der Innenseite der Plättchen befinden.
1.4 Nehmen Sie das Visier vom Helm ab.
2 Anbringen
2.1 Legen Sie das Visier in Schließstellung auf den geschlossenen Helm.
2.2 Achten Sie darauf, daß der Rastzahn der Visier-Schließautomatik (C) in die entspre-
chende Vertiefung am Visier eingreift (D) (Abb. 6).
