Safety
Important
• Handle theproduct with care, making sure not to damage thesurface
of thesolar cell and ensuring that it is not covered with dust or
affected by other contaminants.
• Never attempt to repair or modify theproduct in any way.
• Repairs must only be carried out by authorised service personnel
and only using genuine spare parts.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
Installation and operation
1. Remove thesolar cell module from thebollard.
2. Extend thebollard to its full length (100 cm) by screwing
theextension tube onto themain section.
3. The bollard can be screwed onto wooden decking or fastened in
theground using aground spike.
Using theground spike:
- Screw together thebollard, baseplate and ground spike.
- Push thespike into theground.
Using screws:
Make sure that thesurface onto which you intend to install
thebollard is free from water pipes or electrical cables.
- Any holes required in themounting surface can be marked
out using theholes in thebaseplate and drilled using adrill bit
suitable for thematerial.
- Fasten thebaseplate to themounting surface using suitable
screws (sold separately).
- Screw thebollard onto thebaseplate.
4. Set thepower switch to ON.
5. Refit thesolar cell module into thebollard.
The solar cell module can be charged using theUSB-C port
(USB charger sold separately, charging time about 3.5 hours).
Things to consider:
• The solar light should be placed in anarea where it is exposed
to direct sunlight. The solar light should not be placed in anarea
shaded by buildings, trees, walls, etc. since this reduces theability
of thebattery to charge.
• The solar light should not be placed within theillumination zone of
other light sources such as car headlights or street lights.
• The solar light should not be placed next to direct sources of heat
such as abrazier or BBQ.
• If you have several solar lights they can come on at different times
depending on thelighting conditions.
Care and maintenance
• Carefully wipe thelight clean using asoft dry cloth.
• The solar cell should be wiped regularly (and carefully) to prevent
dirt and debris from affecting its performance.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that theproduct should not be
disposed of with general household waste. This applies
throughout theentire EU. In order to prevent any
harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed
in for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed
of in aresponsible manner. When recycling your
product, take it to your local collection facility or contact
theplace of purchase. They will ensure that theproduct
is disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.
