Oberon's Model 3030 Wireless Bollard is ideal for extend-
ing wireless and Wi-Fi coverage into open public spaces
such as parks and malls. The Wireless bollard can be
used to mount the P in locations where mounting on
buildings or light poles Is aesthetically unacceptable. The
bollard is designed for indoor or outdoor Ps and anten-
nas and protects the P and antennas from weather and
tampering. The fiberglass cylinder is virtually transparent
to wireless signal. Large enough for Ps, antennas, and
small network switches from most vendors.

Dig a hole at least 16” x 16” minimum in the desired location for the assembly. The hole depth is determined by the frostline of the installation location. 30” is
the minimum recommended. The sidewalls must be flush and plumb. Uneven sidewalls can cause the foundation to fail or tilt.

Dig the trench for laying conduit. Data and power cables must be separated when running conduit to the bollard. Place the conduit within the trench and up
through where the anchor base concrete will be poured.

Follow local code requirements for buried conduit. Fill around the conduit with gravel if necessary. Mix and pour the concrete around the conduit. 3000 to
3500 psi concrete is recommended.

Using the included paper templates, create a bolt positioner board to hold anchor bolts in place while the concrete sets and drill a center hole large enough
for conduit. Fasten 5/8” x 18” anchor bolts in a 11.3” x 11.3 square to the board using 5/8” nuts and washers above and below, leaving 2.5” or greater above
the board. Oberon’s 39-303X-FOOTING KIT includes bolts, and hardware for anchor bolt positioning. The bolts must be tight to prevent them from migrating
while installing. Oberon offers a metal positioning template P/N 88-303X-TEMPL TE.

Press the anchor bolts into the wet concrete and vibrate to remove voids from around the anchor bolts and edges of forms. Level the bolt positioner board
without pressing the bottom leveling nuts into the concrete. Cover and allow the concrete to set.

fter the concrete has set, remove the bolt positioner board. Leave the lower nuts and washers in place for anchor base installation. Place the anchor base
over the nuts. Level the anchor base, then fasten with another set of nuts and washers. Pull the data and power cables through the conduit.

Fasten the luminum Pole Flange to the nchor Base with the provided #8-32 Flat Head Screws. Slide the Fiberglass Pole into the Pole Flange and tighten
the set screw.

If mounting a Cisco ccess Point, fasten the CCO P Mounting Plate to the Fiberglass Pole using the provided U-Bolts. ttach the ccess Point and plug in
the cables.

Slide the Bolt Cover over the Bollard and fasten to the nchor Base with the included 1/4"-20 Tamper Resistant Screws. pin-in-hex bit is provided. Installa-
tion is complete.

If mounting to the right-angle bracket, fasten the bracket to the Fiberglass Pole using the provided U-Bolts. ttach the ccess Point to the T-Bar, or fasten the
Cisco IR-BR CKET using the included #8-32 Screws. The Fiberglass Pole may need to be trimmed. Once the access point is attached, plug in the cables.

Place the Bollard over the equipment stand and fasten to the anchor base using the provided 3/8” bolts.

For the ruba 270, 370, and 570 Series Ps, fasten the R/ bracket to the Fiberglass Pole using the provided U-Bolts. Top of the R/ bracket using the in-
cluded 1/4” - 20 Screws. The Fiberglass Pole may need to be trimmed. Once the access point is attached, plug in the cables.
