use if broken, bent, cracked or otherwise damaged parts are noted. If the jack has been or suspected to have been
subjected to a shock load, discontinue use until checked out by an authorized factory service center. Owners and
operators of this equipment shall be aware that the use and subsequent repair of this equipment may require special
training and knowledge. It is recommended that an annual inspection be done by qualified personnel and that any
missing or damaged parts, decals, warning / safety labels or signs be replaced with factory authorized replacement
parts only. Any jack that appears to be damaged in any way, is worn or operates abnormally shall be removed from
serviceimmediately untilsuch timeas repairs can be made.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Omega Air Actuated Bottle Jacks on Wheels are designed forlifting, but not sustaining, loads ranging up to 20
tons. They can be used vertically or angled to 5 degrees from vertical position. After lifting, loads must be
immediatelysupportedby appropriate means. They aresuitable foruse in an appropriately ratedand designed
vertical or bench press structure. These jacks arenot recommended for use in lifting or positioning houses and/or
other building structures. These jacks comply with applicable ASME / ANSI - PALDStandards. For air actuated
use, ensure that your air source can dedicate 7.8 CFM @ 90 - 175PSI to each jack operated. To ensure dependable,
troublefreeoperation anair dryer andoiler isrecommended.
BEFOREUSE
1. Verify that the product and the application are
compatible,if in doubtcall Omega Technical Service
[phone].
2.Before using thisproduct, readthe instruction manual
completelyandfamiliarize yourselfthoroughlywith
the product and the hazards associated with its
improperuse.
3.Openthe releasevalve(counter-clockwise nomore
than2 fullturns).
4.With ramfullyretracted, locateandremove theoil
fillerscrew. Insertthe handle intothe handlesleeve,
then pump 6 to 8 strokes. This will help release any
pressurized air which may be trapped within the
reservoir.Ensure the oillevel is just below theoil filler
screw hole. Reinstall the oil filler screw.

5. Pour a teaspoon of good quality, air tool lubricant into
theair supply inletof thelift control valve(See
Illustration).Connect toair supplyand operatefor 3
seconds to evenly distribute lubricant.
6. Check to ensure that jack rolls freely (if so equipped)
andthat the pumpoperates smoothlybefore putting
intoservice. Replaceworn ordamaged partsand
assemblies with Omega Authorized Replacement
Parts only.
7. This product is fitted to accept the popular 1/4" PT air
nipple.When installing 1/4"PT nippleof your choice,
ensure that thread tape or compound is used when
servicingconnections.
8. Inspect before each use. Do not use if bent, broken or
cracked components are noted.

OPERATION
Lifting (referto Figure1)
1. Assemble 3 pc. handle, ensure that each spring clip
alignswith and issecure inthe corresponding handle
slot.
2.Chock the loadto prevent inadvertentshifting and
movement.
3. Insert the handle into the positioner receptacle, tilt
jack and wheel it into position near the lift point.
4. With slotted end of handle, close the release valve by
turningitclockwiseuntil the threadedvalveoffersfirm
resistancetofurther tightening.
Caution: Use only the handle provided with this product
oran authorized replacementto ensureproper release
valve operation.Donot usean extender onthe airhose
nor the operating handle. When using to lift vehicle, lift
onlyon the manufacturer’srecommended liftpoints and
in accordance with the published guidelines in your
vehicle owners manual. Always use jack stands to
support the load immediately after lifting.
5. Insert and secure handle into positioner receptacle.
Squeeze the lift control valve until saddle contacts
load.Toend air operation,simply releasethe grip on
thelift controlvalve. Never wire,clamp orotherwise
disablethe thelift controlvalve to functionby any
meansother than byusing theoperator's hand.
6. Raise load to desired height, then immediately
transferthe load to appropriately ratedsupport
devices such as jack stands.

Immediately after lifting, support the vehicle with
appropriate means. Do not dolly or adjust the
horizontal position of the vehicle with this device. No
alteration shall be made to this product. Use only
those adapters and accessories provided and
authorized by the manufacturer. Failure to heed these
markings may result in personal injury and/or
propertydamage.

Lowering
1.Raise loadenough tocarefully removejack stands.
2.Insert handle ontorelease valveand slowly turn
handlecounter-clockwise, butno morethan 2full
turns.If loadfails tolower, carefully transferthe load
toanother liftingdevice andjack stands.Carefully
removeaffected jack, andthen thejack stands.
Lowerthe load, againby slowlyturning the release
valveno more than2 full turns.
Besure alltools andpersonnel are clear before lowering
the load. Dangerous dynamic shock loads are created
byquickly openingand closingthe release valve as the
loadis being lowered.The resultingoverload may cause
hydraulic system failure which could cause personal
injuryand/orpropertydamage.
3.After removingjack fromunder the load,ensure ram
lowers completely to reduce exposure to rust and
contamination.
MAINTENANCE
Important: Use only a good grade hydraulic jack oil.
Avoidmixing different typesof fluidandNever use brake
fluid,turbine oil,transmission fluid,motor oilor glycerin.
Improperfluid cancause prematurefailure ofthe jack
andthe potentialfor suddenand immediate loss of load.
Adding oil
1.With saddlefully loweredand release valve open, set
jackin itsupright, levelposition. Removeoil filler
screw.
2. Fill until oil is level with the filler screw hole, reinstall
oil filler screw.
Changing oil
Forbest performanceand longestlife, replacethe
complete fluid supply at least once per year.
1.With saddlefully lowered andrelease valveopen,
removethe oilfiller screw.
2. Lay the jack on its side and drain the fluid into a
suitablecontainer.
Note: Disposeof hydraulicfluid inaccordance with
local regulations.
3. Fill with good quality jack oil. Reinstall oil filler screw.
WerecommendMobilDTE13or equivalent.
Lubrication
1. A coating of light lubricating oil to axles and saddle
screwextension will helpto prevent rust.
2. Periodically check the ram for signs of rust or
corrosion.Clean as neededand wipewith an oily
cloth.
Never usesandpaper or abrasivematerial on ram
surface!
3. When not in use, store the jack with ram fully
retracted.
