Suitability for Use
Thank you for purchasing this OMRON product.
Read this instruction manual and thoroughly familiarize yourself with the functions and
characteristics of the product before using it. This product is designed for use by qualified
personnel with knowledge of electrical systems. Keep this instruction manual for future reference.
This manual contains instructions for installing the product and information on basic operation.
For information on applications and explanations of the setting datas, see the User's Manual. To
obtain the User's Manual and other advanced information, see "Detailed Information" on page 10.
Introduction
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor
or moderate injury or in property damage.

CAUTION
Do not touch the terminals while power is being supplied. Doing so may occasionally
result in minor injury due to electric shock.
Do not touch the terminals or the electrical components or patterns on the PCB within 1
minute after turning OFF the power supply. Doing so may occasionally result in minor
injury due to electric shock.
Do not allow pieces of metal, wire clippings, or fine metallic shavings or filings from
installation to enter the product. Doing so may occasionally result in electric shock, fire, or
malfunction.
Do not use the product in locations where flammable or explosive gases are present.
Doing so may occasionally result in minor or moderate explosion, causing minor or
moderate injury, or property damage.
Never disassemble, modify, or repair the product or touch any of the internal parts.
Minor electric shock, fire, or malfunction may occasionally occur.
Tighten the screws on the terminal block to the following specified torque. Loose screws
may occasionally cause fire, resulting in minor or moderate injury, or damage to the
equipment.
Terminal block screws: 0.40 to 0.56 .sm
Perform correct setting of the product according to the application. Failure to do so is may
occasionally cause unexpected operation, resulting in minor or moderate injury, or
damage to the equipment.
A malfunction in the Product may occasionally make control operations impossible or
prevent alarm outputs, occasionally resulting in property damage to the system or
equipment connected to the Product. To maintain safety in the event of malfunction of the
Product, take appropriate safety measures, such as installing a monitoring device in a
separate system.
Do not use the equipment for measurements within measurement categories II, III, or
IV(according to IEC61010-1). Doing so may occasionally cause unexpected operation,
resulting in minor or moderate injury, or damage to the equipment. Use the equipment for
measurements only within the measurement categories for which the product is designed.
The service life of the output relays depends on the switching capacity and switching
conditions. Consider the actual application conditions and use the product within the rated
load and electrical service life. Using the product beyond its service life may occasionally
result in contact welding or burning.

(1) Use and store the Digital Controller within the specified ambient temperature and humidity ranges.
If necessary, cool the Digital Controller.
(2) Do not prevent heat dissipation by obstructing the periphery of the Digital Controller. Do not block
the vents on the Digital Controller unit.
(3) The supplied power voltage and load must be within the rated and specified ranges.
(4) Be sure to confirm the name and polarity for each terminal before wiring the terminal block.
(5) Do not connect anything to unused terminals.
(6) Use the specified size of crimp terminals (M3, width: 5.8 mm max.) to wire the terminal block.
When connecting bare wires, use copper stranded or solid wires, and use AWG22 to AWG14 for
the power supply terminals and AWG28 to AWG16 for other terminals.
(Length of exposed wire: 6 to 8 mm)
(7) Ensure that the rated voltage is attained within 2 seconds after turning on the power.
(8) If you need to draw out the Digital Controller, turn off the power first. Never touch the terminals or
the electronic components, or subject them to physical shock.When inserting the Digital Controller,
do not allow the electronic components to contact the case.
(9) Do not remove the inner circuit board.
(10) The output may turn OFF when shifting to certain levels.Take this into consideration when performing
control.
(11) Allow a warm-up time of at least 30 minutes.
(12) Allow as much space as possible between the product and devices that generate a powerful high-
frequency or surge. Separate the high-voltage or large-current power lines from other lines, and
avoid parallel or common wiring with the power lines when you are wiring to the terminals.
(13) Install a switch or circuit breaker that allows the operator to immediately turn off the power, and
label suitably.
(14) The product is designed for indoor use only. Do not use the product outdoors or in any of the
following locations.
Locations where dust or corrosive gas is present (in particular, sulfur or ammonia gases)
Locations where condensation or ice may form
Locations directly exposed to sunlight
Locations subject to strong shocks or vibration
Locations where water or oil may splatter on the Digital Controller
Locations directly exposed to radiant heat from heating equipment
Locations subject to sudden or extreme changes of temperature
(15) Do not use paint thinner or similar chemical to clean with. Use standard grade alcohol.

If the system does not operate as desired when you check operation after completing the settings,
check the connections and set values once again. If operation is still not correct, an incorrect
setting may exist for an unintended setting. It is possible to initialize and then newly configure this
device.

You may not be able to obtain desirable output results under the factory
setting. Initialize this device after eliminating any influences to your system by
disconnecting wires on output unit or performing other conceivable measures.
Before initialization, take notes of the setting values.

設定内容と制御対象の内容が異なる場合には、意図しない動作により稀に中程度・軽度の人
身障害や装置の破損などの物損が起こる恐れがあります。調節計の各種設定値は、制御対象
に合わせて正しく設定してください。
調節計の故障により制御不能や警報出力が出なくなると、本機へ接続されている設備、機器
等への物的損害が稀に起こる恐れがあります。
本機の故障時にも安全なように、別系統で監視機器を取り付けるなどの安全対策を行ってく
ださい。
測定分類Ⅱ、ⅢおよびⅣの測定に本機を使用した場合、意図しない動作により稀に中程度・
軽度の人身傷害や装置の破壊などの物損が起こる恐れがあります。測定分類に対応する機器
の測定にお使いください。(IEC61010-1 による)
寿命を超えた状態で使用すると接点溶着や焼損が稀に起こる恐れがあります。出力リレーの
寿命は、開閉容量、開閉条件により大きく異なります。従って、必ず実使用条件を考慮し、
定格負荷、電気的寿命回数内でご使用ください。
軽度の感電、発火、機器の故障が稀に起こる恐れがあります。
分解、修理、改造したり、内部に触らないでください。

(1) 周囲温度および湿度は仕様範囲内で使用および保存してください。必要により、強制冷却し
てください。
(2) 放熱を妨げないよう、調節計の周辺をふさがないでください。調節計本体の通風孔はふさが
ないでください。
(3) 電源電圧および負荷は、仕様、定格の範囲内でご使用ください。
(4) 端子台への配線の際は、名称および極性を確認して正しく配線してください。
(5) 使用しない端子には何も接続しないでください。
(6) 端子台配線用圧着端子は、指定サイズ（M3、幅5.8mm 以下）のものをご使用ください。裸
線接続の配線材は、銅製で電源 AWG22 〜 AWG14、電源以外 AWG28 〜 AWG16のより線か
単線を使用してください。（電線被履剥きしろ：6 〜 8mm）
(7) 電源投入時には、2 秒以内に定格電圧に達するようにしてください。
(8) 調節計をドローアウトする場合は、電源を OFF してから行い、絶対に端子や電子部品に手を
触れたり衝撃を与えたりしないでください。挿入時に電子部品をケースに接触させないでく
ださい。
(9) 内部の基板を取り外さないでください。
(10) 初期設定移行時に移行するモードによっては出力がOFFになりますので、これを考慮した制
御をして下さい。
(11) ウォームアップ時間は 30 分以上としてください。
(12) 強い高周波を発生する機器やサージを発生する機器から、できるだけ離して設置してくださ
い。配線は、高電圧、大電流の動力線とは分離して配線してください。
また、動力線との平行配線や同一配線を避けてください。
(13) 作業者がすぐ電源をOFFできるようスイッチまたはサーキットブレーカを設置し、適切に表
示してください。
(14) 屋内専用機器のため屋内のみで使用してください。ただし、下記の環境では使用しないでく
ださい。
・塵埃、腐食性ガス（特に硫化ガス、アンモニアガスなど）のあるところ
・結露、氷結の恐れのあるところ
・直射日光のあたるところ
・振動、衝撃の影響が大きいところ
・水がかかるところ、被油のあるところ
・加熱機器から輻射熱を直接受けるところ
・温度変化の激しいところ
(15) 清掃の際は、シンナー類は使用せず市販のアルコールをご使用ください。
