Initial adjustments to the product were made according to the order form. Nevertheless, fine adjustments and set
tings may have to be made depending on the medical situation or the user’s requirements.
These instructions for use provide the information necessary for adjusting the settings. This work should be closely
coordinated with the user.
Please note the following:
• The instructions for use (qualified personnel) are intended only for qualified personnel and remain with them.
• The manufacturer recommends checking the product settings regularly in order to assure an optimum fit over
the long term. A review is required every six months for children and youths in particular.
• The manufacturer reserves the right to make technical changes to the model described in these instructions for
use.
2 Intended use
The operational safety of the product can only be ensured in case of intended use in accordance with the informa
tion contained in these instructions for use (qualified personnel) and in the instructions for use (user). The user is
ultimately responsible for accident-free operation.

The tasks described below may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Compliance with all manufacturer spe

►When completing the tasks, only use tools that are suitable for the conditions at the place of work and for
which safety and the protection of health are assured with proper use.
►Observe the specifications in the section "Required Tools".
NOTICE
Tipping or falling of the product
Damage to product due to lack of attachment
►When you work on the product, secure it so that it cannot tip over or fall over.
►Use a clamping fixture to secure the product whenever you work on it at a workbench.
INFORMATION
While installing add-on drives on the product is generally not permitted, it can be reviewed by our Custom Fabric
ation department on request.
3.3 Safety Instructions for Assembly
CAUTION
Exposed pinch points
Crushing, pinching due to incorrect handling
►When folding the mobility base for seating shells out or together, only grip by the specified components.
CAUTION
Sudden extension of gas compression springs
Impacts, pinching, crushing due to incorrect handling
►The gas compression springs must be fully extended when carrying out any work (seat tilt released, seat in the
neutral horizontal position).
►Never operate the release lever for the seat tilt when screw connections are loosened or when working on the
product.
►Secure the release lever for the seat tilt during all work to avoid operating it unintentionally.
3.4 Further information
INFORMATION
The serial number required for enquiries and orders can be found on the nameplate. For explanations of the
nameplate, see the section "Nameplate" (see Page6).

The nameplates are found under the seat on the front cross tube of the main frame.

4 Delivery
4.1 Scope of delivery
The product is generally delivered fully assembled.
For 22"/24" drive wheels only: The product is generally delivered fully assembled and with the drive wheels
removed.
The scope of delivery includes:
• Preassembled mobility base for seating shells
• 2 rear wheels / drive wheels (screwed or plug-on)
• Options according to the order
• Instructions for use (qualified personnel), instructions for use (user)
• Instructions for use for accessories (depending on equipment)
4.2 Options
The functionality and operation of the options are described in more detail in the instructions for use (user).
All of the available options/accessories are listed on the order form.
4.2.1 Self-propelled
The 22"/24" drive wheels are attached to the mobility base for seating shells with the 471G42=* drive wheel
adapter and quick-release axles.
4.3 Storage
The product must be stored in a dry place. Specific information for extended storage: see Page27.
It is not necessary to disassemble the product.
Maintain sufficient clearance from sources of heat. If the product is parked for an extended period of time or the
tyres overheat (e.g.in the vicinity of radiators or in case of exposure to strong sunlight behind glass), the tyres may
become permanently deformed.
During extended storage, the knee lever wheel lock on products with PU tyres (=tubeless tyres) must be released
since tyre deformation may otherwise result.
5 Preparing the product for use
5.1 Assembly
WARNING
Overloading
Severe injuries if the product tips over due to overloading, damage to the product
►Do not exceed the maximum load capacity (see the nameplate and section "Technical data").
►Please note that certain accessories and add-on components will reduce the remaining load capacity.

CAUTION
Failure to verify readiness for use before putting into operation
Tipping, falling due to incorrect adjustment or installation
►Check the existing settings prior to first use.
►After each assembly, verify the proper fit of the removable wheels. The quick-release axles must be firmly
locked in the quick-release axle housings.
►In particular, verify tip resistance, easy operation of the wheels and correct brake functionality.
CAUTION
Loss of stability
Tipping, falling due to additional objects on the product
►Do not attach additional objects to the frame, cross tubes or seat.
CAUTION
Incorrect air pressure
Uncontrolled driving characteristics, falling, tyre rupture due to incorrect inflation
►Maintain sufficient air pressure in pneumatic tyres. Do not exceed the permitted specifications when filling the
tyres (see Page27).
►Do not use the product with over/under-inflated or unequally inflated tyres.
►Note that a single tyre with low air pressure can lead to uncontrolled driving characteristics.
►Note that low pressure of the rear wheels / drive wheels can reduce the braking force of the knee lever wheel
lock.
INFORMATION
Only metric screws are generally used on the product.
INFORMATION
With screw connections consisting of an Allen head screw and hexagon nut, a higher torque can be transmitted
using the hexagon nut than the Allen head screw.
Tighten and loosen the screw connection on the hexagon nut, using the Allen head to secure the screw against
turning.
1) For plug-on drive wheels: Attach the drive wheels to the drive wheel attachment device. The quick-release axles
must not be removable after releasing the push-button.
2) Optional: Slide the leg supports into the holders on the front frame tube.
3) Optional: Fold down the foot plates. If necessary, engage and readjust the calf strap.
4) Prior to the adaptation of the seating shell/seating solution, further settings on the mobility base for seating
shells must be adjusted as required (see Page11 ff.).
5) If necessary: Adapt the seating shell/seating solution to the mobility base for seating shells (see Page8).
6) Verify the stability of the assembled product.
INFORMATION: Inform the user and the attendants if the static stability is found to be less than 10°. In
this case, determine additional safety measures together with the user and attendants to ensure the
safety of the user.
6 Installing options/accessories
WARNING
Using alternative seating solutions
Serious injuries to the user due to missing anti-tipper
►If the product is fitted with an alternative seating solution or seating shells from other manufacturers, special
attention must be paid to static stability.
►The qualified personnel is obligated to ensure the static stability of such a combination.
►Using an anti-tipper may be required depending on the centre of gravity.
►Verify that the anti-tipper has been installed and adjusted properly.

6.1 Installing the Ottobock Shape seating solution (option)
This option may only be installed by Ottobock at this time.
6.2 Installing interface adapters for other seating solutions (option)
The following interface adapters can be installed:
• Trapezoid adapter
• Parallel adapter
The removal and attachment of seating shells/seating solutions on the interface adapters is described in more
detail in the enclosed instructions for use (user).
Removing/installing the interface adapter:
1) Remove the seating shell/seating solution with the seating shell interface.
2) Loosen and remove the screw connections on the interface adapter and seat bars on both sides (see fig.1,
item1).
3) Remove/replace the interface adapter (see fig.1, item2).
4) Insert the screw connections into the appropriate slots on the interface adapter and seat bars and tighten them
to 6Nm (see fig.1, item1).
5) Reattach the seating shell/seating solution with the seating shell interface.

6.3 Installing other seating solutions
In principle, it is possible to install seating solutions from other manufacturers on the product. In this case, liability
rests with the qualified personnel that completed the installation.
Installation by Ottobock Custom Fabrication is possible with a separate order.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for combinations with seating solutions that have not been approved by the
manufacturer.
6.4 Installing the back support guide for seating shells (option)
The back guide for seating shells is attached to the cross tube of the back frame. The guide plate is attached to the
back of the seating shell using 4 screws (see fig.2, item1) and connected to the back guide:
1) Loosen the clamping screw on the back guide (see fig.2, item2).
2) Insert the clamping plate into the guide plate, narrow side first (see fig.2, item3).
3) Turn the clamping plate 90° so that it engages sideways in the guide plate. (see fig.2, item3).
4) Firmly tighten the clamping screw on the back guide (see fig.2, item2).

6.5 Installing the anti-tipper
WARNING
Using alternative seating solutions
Serious injuries to the user due to missing anti-tipper
►If the product is fitted with an alternative seating solution or seating shells from other manufacturers, special
attention must be paid to static stability.
►The qualified personnel is obligated to ensure the static stability of such a combination.
►Using an anti-tipper may be required depending on the centre of gravity.
►Verify that the anti-tipper has been installed and adjusted properly.
The anti-tipper can be subsequently ordered and installed when needed.
For 12.5" rear wheels, the anti-tipper is installed using the 471A42=LV064/RV064 accessory mount.
For 22"/24" drive wheels, the anti-tipper is mounted directly on the rear frame tube (see fig.26).
Installing the accessory mount with 12.5" rear wheels
1) Loosen and remove the screw connections on the accessory mount (see fig.3, item1).
2) Install the accessory mount on the lower/upper bores in the rear frame tube (see fig.3, item2).
3) Insert and firmly tighten the screw connections (see fig.3, item1).

Installing the anti-tipper
1) Insert the expansion spring with the closed eyelet facing up into the rear frame tube (see fig.4, item1).
2) Insert the spacer washer and the screw connection through the lowest bore (Ø 8mm) and through the closed
eyelet of the spring inside the frame tube (see fig.4, item2). Do not over-tighten the nut.
3) Attach a cord to the open eyelet of the expansion spring (see fig.4, item3).
4) Insert the anti-tipper (see fig.4, item4) into the rear frame tube.
5) Pull on the cord until part of the expansion spring sticks out of the anti-tipper (see fig.5, item1).
6) Use a screwdriver to secure the expansion spring in this position (see fig.5, item2).
7) Remove the cord and insert the plug into the open eyelet of the expansion spring (see fig.5, item3).
8) Pull the screwdriver away so the plug engages.

7 Settings
7.1 Prerequisites
WARNING
Making incorrect adjustments
Tipping over, falling or malposition of the user due to incorrect adjustments
►Adjustment and assembly work may be carried out only by qualified personnel.
►Only the adjustments described in these instructions for use may be carried out.
►Settings may only be changed within the allowable adjustment ranges; otherwise, the stability of the product
may be impaired (see this section and the “Technical data” section). If you have questions, contact the
manufacturer’s service department (see inside back cover for addresses).
►Only conduct tests in the presence of an assistant.
►Unless expressly described, you may not change any settings with a person sitting in the product.
►Secure the user against falling out during all tests.
►Before testing setting changes with the user seated, firmly tighten all screw connections.
►Check for safe function before delivering the product.
WARNING
Lack of stability against tipping
User may fall or tip over due to lack of inspection
►Changing the settings can lead to instability of the system as a whole. Verify tipping resistance after any
changes to the settings.
CAUTION
Unsecured screw connections
Pinching, crushing, tipping over, falling of user due to assembly errors
►Always firmly re-tighten the mounting screws and nuts after changing settings. Observe the specified torques
in doing so.
►Any time you loosen a screw connection with thread lock, replace it with a new screw connection with thread
lock or secure the old screw connection with medium strength thread locker (e.g.Loctite241).
►Always replace self-locking screws and nuts with new self-locking screws and nuts after disassembly.

CAUTION
Sudden extension of gas compression springs
Impacts, pinching, crushing due to incorrect handling
►The gas compression springs must be fully extended when carrying out any work (seat tilt released, seat in the
neutral horizontal position).
►Never operate the release lever for the seat tilt when screw connections are loosened or when working on the
product.
►Secure the release lever for the seat tilt during all work to avoid operating it unintentionally.
Fine-tuning and adjustments should always be carried out in the presence of the user. The user should be sitting
upright in the wheelchair while making adjustments.
All parts of the product should be cleaned thoroughly before adjustments are made.
The tools required for adjustments and maintenance tasks as well as the torque values for screw connections are
listed in the section "Appendices" (see Page28).
7.1.1 Settings during preassembly
If the seating shell/seating solution has already been preassembled, the following sections can be omitted:
• Section “Adjusting the seat depth” (see Page12)
• Section “Adjusting the back support angle” (see Page12)
• Section “Installing options/accessories” (see Page8)
7.2 Adjusting the seat depth
CAUTION
Free-moving frame components
Crushing, pinching, impacts due to insufficient precautions
►Actively secure the back support frame, seat frame, cross tubes and gas compression spring against falling.
The seat depth can be adjusted in five steps by sliding the back support frame on the seat frame:
1) Loosen and remove the screw connections on the back support attachment devices, seat bars and rear cross
tube on both sides (see fig.6, item1).
2) Slide the back support attachment devices, back support frame and rear cross tube to the desired seat depth.
INFORMATION: Do not shift the position of the front cross tube and the gas compression spring
attached to it. This maintains the angle setting of the seat frame.
3) Reinsert all screw connections in the intended positions and firmly tighten them (see fig.6, item1).
INFORMATION: The bores on the lower edge of the back support attachment devices are used to
attach the front cross tube (not illustrated).

7.3 Adjusting the back support angle
Adjusting the back angle is described in more detail in the included instructions for use (user).

7.4 Adjusting the seating centre of gravity
CAUTION
Improper adjustment of the seating centre of gravity
Tipping, falling from the seating shell/seating solution due to incorrect adjustment
►Avoid extreme settings that could lead to tipping when adjusting the seat angle.
►For users with transfemoral amputations, shift the seating centre of gravity forward. This improves the stability
of the mobility base for seating shells.
Checking the seating centre of gravity is required in order to ensure that the seat angle can be adjusted easily
when the user is seated.
In principle, the centre of gravity adjustment has the following effects:
Seating centre of gravity Effect
Too far in front of the pivot point Seat tilts far forward when it is unlocked;
high holding forces required during seat adjustment
Too far behind the pivot point Seat tilts far backward when it is unlocked;
high holding forces required during seat adjustment
Setting recommendations
The seating centre of gravity should be individually adjusted according to the clinical picture.
The qualified personnel has to decide whether it is better that the seat swings forward or backward when no hold
ing force is applied while the locking mechanism is released. If possible, the attendant who will be using the mobil
ity base for seating shells should be consulted here.
Adjusting the seating centre of gravity when using an interface adapter
The seating centre of gravity can be set by releasing the interface adapter and sliding it along the seat bars:
1) If necessary: Remove the seating shell interface with the seating shell/seating solution if these make it difficult
to release and slide the interface adapter (see Page8).
2) Loosen and remove the screw connections on the interface adapter and seat bars on both sides (see fig.1,
item1).
3) Slide the interface adapter along the seat bars to the assumed seating centre of gravity (see fig.1, item2).
4) Insert the screw connections into the appropriate slots and tighten them to 6Nm (see fig.1, item1).
5) Mount the seating shell interface with the seating shell/seating solution on the interface adapter.
6) Conduct a functional test of the seat tilt and locking mechanism:
→Tilt the seat and lock it at various positions along the entire adjustment range.
→Ensure that the seat tilt can move freely and the locking mechanism functions securely. The seat angle must
not be adjustable after letting go of the release lever.
7) Test the adjustment of the seating centre of gravity:
→Sit the user in the seat with the help of an attendant.
→Tilt the seat and hold it in position. Only low holding forces should be necessary with tilting.
Adjusting the seating centre of gravity
If the results are not satisfactory, the setting has to be readjusted without the user in the seat, as follows:

Slide the seat and interface adapter back
Seat tilts far backward when it is unlocked;
high holding forces required during seat adjustment

7.5 Adjusting the leg supports (option)
CAUTION
Improper adjustment of the legrests/footplates
Tipping over, falling due to user error
►After changing the legrest/footplate settings, verify that the legrests/footplates do not collide with the caster
wheels at any of the seat tilt settings (seat angle adjustment).
►The distance between the legrest/footplate and the caster wheel must be at least 25mm.

The footplates are the supporting surfaces for the feet.
Their distance from the seat bottom influences sitting stability. The height adjustment acts on the pelvis and ischial
bones.
The angle of the footplates should permit a comfortable ankle position.
7.5.1 Adjusting the depth of the leg supports/foot plates
a) Adjusting the depth of the following leg supports:
• Single-panel (aluminium)
• Single-panel for short lower leg length (aluminium)
• Segmented (aluminium)
• Segmented, elevating with ratchet joint (aluminium)
The depth of the leg support can be adjusted using the perforated holes in the seat bars.
1) Loosen and remove the screw connections on the seat bars on both sides (see fig.7, item1).
2) Slide the leg support with the leg support attachment devices to the desired depth (see fig.7, item2).
3) Insert the screw connections into the appropriate slots on the seat bars and leg support attachment devices,
and tighten them to 6Nm (see fig.7, item1).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.

b) Adjusting the depth of the following leg support:
• With single-panel foot plate for seating shell interface (steel)
The leg support is mounted on the seating shell interface (parallel adaption) or interface adapter (trapezoid
adapter).
Adjusting the depth on the seating shell interface (parallel adaption)
The depth of the leg support can be continuously adjusted on the side attachments of the seating shell interface.
1) Loosen the screw connections on the seating shell interface on both sides (see fig.8, item1).
2) Slide the leg support with the bars to the desired depth (see fig.8, item2).
3) Tighten the screw connections on the seating shell interface to 1.5Nm (see fig.8, item1).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.
Adjusting the depth on the interface adapter (trapezoid adapter)
The depth of the leg support can be continuously adjusted on the attachments of the interface adapter.
1) Loosen the screw connections on the interface adapter on both sides (see fig.9, item1).
2) Slide the leg support with the bars to the desired depth (see fig.9, item2).
3) Tighten the screw connections on the interface adapter (see fig.9, item1).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.

7.5.2 Adjusting the lower leg length
INFORMATION
Ensure adequate ground clearance when adjusting the lower leg length.
The required foot plate position depends on the lower leg length of the user and the thickness of the seat cush
ion/seating shell/seating solution that is used.
a) Adjusting the lower leg length of the following leg supports:
• Single-panel (aluminium)
• Segmented (aluminium)
• Segmented, elevating with ratchet joint (aluminium)
1) Loosen the clamping screws on the guide tubes of both leg support holders (see fig.10, item1).
2) Adjust the lower leg length (continuously adjustable). The foot plate mounting bars must remain inserted in the
guide tubes to a depth of at least 40mm. Otherwise, the mounting bars can slide out of the guide tubes.
3) Tighten the clamping screws to 10Nm (see fig.10, item1).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.

b) Adjusting the lower leg length of the following leg support:
• Single-panel for short lower leg length (aluminium)
The lower leg length of the leg supports can be adjusted on the guide tubes of both leg support holders (see
fig.11, item1) and both slotted perforated plates (see fig.11, item2).
Adjusting the lower leg length on the guide tubes
1) Loosen and remove the screw connections on both guide tubes and slotted perforated plates (see fig.11,
item3).
2) Slide the foot plate with the slotted perforated plates to the desired height (see fig.11, item4).
3) Insert the screw connections into the appropriate slots on both guide tubes and slotted perforated plates and
firmly tighten them (see fig.11, item3).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.

Adjusting the lower leg length using the slotted perforated plates
1) Loosen the clamping screws on both slotted perforated plates (see fig.11, item5; see fig.12, item1).
2) Swing the foot plate to the desired height and the desired angle (see fig.11; see fig.12, item2).
3) Tighten the clamping screws to 9Nm (see fig.11, item5; see fig.12, item1).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.

c) Adjusting the lower leg length of the following leg support:
• With single-panel foot plate for seating shell interface (steel)
1) Loosen the clamping screws on both guide tubes of the foot plate (see fig.13, item1).
2) Adjust the lower leg length (continuously adjustable). The guide tubes for the foot plate must remain slid onto
both mounting bars of the leg support by at least 40mm. Otherwise, the guide tubes can slide off the mount
ing bars.
3) Tighten the clamping screws to 1.5Nm (see fig.13, item1).
4) Check that the leg support is secure.

7.5.3 Adjusting the support angle
The footplate angle setting should be chosen so that the ankle is in a relaxed, comfortable position.
a) Adjusting the support angle of the following leg supports:
• Segmented (aluminium)
• Segmented, elevating with ratchet joint (aluminium)
1) Loosen the clamping screw on the joint of the foot plate (see fig.14, item1).
2) Set the desired foot plate angle (see fig.14, item2).
3) Tighten the clamping screw on the joint of the foot plate to 10Nm (see fig.14, item1).
b) Adjusting the support angle of the following leg support:
• Single-panel (aluminium)
1) Loosen the clamping screw on the left and right joint of the foot plate (see fig.14, item1).

7.6 Adjusting the side panels (option)

Pinching at the side panels

►Pay attention not to pinch parts of your body between the side panel or frame parts.
Optionally, the product may be equipped with side panels (side panel with arm support, adjustable in height and
depth: see fig.18; clothing guard side panel for 22"/24" wheels: see fig.19).

7.6.1 Adjusting the side panel height
Side panel with height-adjustable forearm support
1) Loosen the screw connections on the corners of the holder using an Allen key (size3) (see fig.18, item1).
2) Slide the holder with clothing guard and arm support to the desired height (see fig.18, item2).
3) Firmly tighten the screw connections (see fig.18, item1).
Clothing guard side panel
Height adjustment is not required.
7.6.2 Adjusting the arm support
Adjustments are only possible on the side panel with height-adjustable forearm support.
Adjusting the height of the arm support
1) Loosen and remove the screw connections in the middle of the holder using an Allen key (size4) (see fig.18,
item2).
2) Slide the arm support to the desired height.
3) Insert the screw connections into the appropriate slots in the perforated plate and firmly tighten them.
Adjusting the depth of the arm support
1) Loosen the screw connections on the underside of the arm support using an Allen key (size4) (see fig.18,
item3).

2) Slide the arm support to the desired depth.
3) Firmly tighten the screw connections.
7.6.3 Adjusting the clothing guard
Side panel with height-adjustable forearm support (only with clothing guard)
1) Loosen and remove the screw connections on the corners of the holder using an Allen key (size3) (see fig.18,
item1).
2) Position the clothing guard as desired using the perforated holes.
3) Insert the screw connections into the appropriate slots of the perforated holes and firmly tighten them.
Clothing guard side panel
To change the position of the clothing guard for adaptation to changed drive wheel positions, reposition the cloth
ing guard on the bores of the seat bars.
7.7 Adjusting the drive wheels
CAUTION
Pinching on components
Crushing and pinching of fingers due to lack of caution in danger areas
►Do not reach between the drive wheel and wheel lock.
►Do not reach into the spokes of the rotating wheels.
7.7.1 Adjusting the wheelbase with 22"/24" drive wheels
WARNING
Incorrectly adjusted wheelbase
Tipping over, falling of the user due to incorrect adjustment
►Only adjust the wheel adapter after completing the adjustments described above.
►Maximum stability is achieved when the frame is set in the lowest position and the rear wheels are set in the
rearmost position. Deviations from this setting reduce the stability of the mobility base for seating shells.
►Avoid extreme settings that could lead to tipping when adjusting the seat angle.
►Please note that with the rear wheel in a more forward mounting position and with an unfavourable body posi
tion, the user may tip backwards even on level ground.
►Position the drive wheels towards the rear for transfemoral amputees. This improves the stability of the
product.
►Changing the size and position of the drive wheels may cause the caster wheels to wobble at higher speeds.
If changes are required, verify the horizontal alignment of the main frame.
WARNING
Improper assembly of removable wheels
Tipping, falling over of the user due to wheels coming off
►After each assembly, verify the proper fit of the removable wheels. The quick-release axles must be firmly
locked in the wheel attachment.
INFORMATION
To change the position of the drive wheels, the knee lever wheel lock first has to be loosened and subsequently
readjusted (see Page22).
If 22"/24" drive wheels are installed, the wheelbase can be adjusted on a special wheel adapter. This has the fol
lowing effects:

Setting recommendations
The wheelbase is individually adjustable according to the user’s clinical picture, intended field of application and
experience/strength of the attendant. The safe position of the mobility base for seating shells on slopes/inclines
must be ensured at all times.
Adjusting the wheelbase on the drive wheel adapter
INFORMATION
The wheelbase has to be adjusted evenly on both sides.
Perform the following steps, first on one side and then on the other:
1) Release the wheel lock. Remove the drive wheel with quick-release axle.
2) Loosen and remove the screw connection on the anchor plate (see fig.20, item1).
3) Position the anchor plate with the drum brake at the desired depth.
4) Insert the screw connection into the appropriate slot on the drive wheel adapter and firmly tighten it (see
fig.20, item2).
5) Put on the drive wheel with quick-release axle. The quick-release axle must not be removable after releasing the
push-button.
6) Readjust the knee lever wheel lock (see Page22).
7) Readjust the anti-tipper if needed (see Page23).

7.8 Adjusting the caster wheels
Subsequently adjusting the seat height/seat inclination is possible with the following settings on the caster wheels
and caster forks.
7.8.1 Repositioning spacer washers in the caster head
INFORMATION
The spacer washers have to be repositioned evenly on both caster heads.
By repositioning the spacer washers in the caster head, the frame can be subsequently positioned horizontally and
the seat inclination can be corrected.
Perform the following steps, first on one side and then on the other:
1) Pry off the protective cap on the caster head using a screwdriver (see fig.21, item1).
2) Loosen the screw connection on the lower end of the threaded axle and remove it together with the caster fork
(see fig.21, item2).
3) Loosen and remove the screw connection on the upper end of the threaded axle (see fig.21, item3). In doing
so, secure the threaded axle so it remains in the caster head.
4) Position and secure the spacer washers (see fig.22, item1) as needed on the upper/lower end of the threaded
axle (see fig.22, item2).
5) Insert and attach the screw connections on the lower and upper end of the threaded axle together with the
caster fork (see fig.21, item2/3).
