should correspond to the chart below, if the resistance
varies more than 5 Ohm the element will need to be
changed.Also check for continuity to ground on each

Safety(Side On)Contactor:
CheckthecoilwithanOhmMeter,theresistanceshould
beapproximately3-6Ohms out of circuit. Ifitdoesnot
havethisresistanceitshouldbechanged.
RelayBoard:
Note:J connectors are marked on the relay board.
•With24VACsuppliedtopin#2 at connectorJ35anda
goodF1fuse,therelayboardwillhavea 24VACoutput
at pin #2 on connectors J33 and J34 and theA.C. indi-
catorwillbeilluminated.
Note: If the fryer is equipped with a computer or
solid state digital, at connection J33 there will be a
jumper from pin #2 to pin #10 to supply 24 VAC to
pin # 2 at connection J31 to supply the controller
with24VAC.
•Whentheboardreceives a 24 VDCsideoninputatpin
#7onconnectorsJ31 or J33, theS.O.indicatorwillillu-
minate,the sideon relay (S.O.)will energizeand there
willbe a24VAC output atpin #4onconnector J32.
•Whentheboard receives a24VDCheat demand input
at pin #6 on connectors J31 or J33, the H.D. indicator
willilluminate,theheatdemandrelay(H.D.)willenergize
andtherewillbecontinuitybetweenpin#1andpin#2at
connectorJ32.
ComputerControl:
Note:AllcontrollertestpointsareatconnectorP/J1(clos-
estconnectortothe controller).
•With 24 VAC supplied to pin #1(24VAC supply) and
pin#5(24VAC inputfromDVI),thedisplayshouldread
"OFF".
•With the controller turned on, there will be a 24 VDC
outputat pin #9(sideon).
•Whenthecontrollercallsforheat,therewillbea24VDC
outputatpin#8 (heat demand) anda24VACinputat pin
#6(heat feed back).Ifthecontroller does notreceivethe
24VAC input atpin#6in approximately 90 seconds,the
controllerwilldisplay"HEATFAIL"or"IGNITIONFAIL-
URE".Thiswouldindicateabreakintheheat demand or
heatfeedbackcircuit.
1.Checkthehi-limitswitch (is it openortripped).
2. Check the ignition module (sensing pilot flame,
lockedout, 24VACat MVterminal).
3. Check the heat demand relay (H.D.) on the relay
board (is heat demand relay energized, continuity
throughCOM andNOcontacts).
•Ifdisplayreads"PROBEOP""OPEN",ohmtestthetem-
peratureprobe.Checkthe wires and connectorsbetween
theprobeandcontrollerforcontinuity.
•Ifdisplay reads"SYSTEM""FAILURE", testthetem-
peratureprobeandthewires and connectors betweenthe
probeand controller forashort.
•Ifdisplayreads"DRAINING" "TURNOFF",verifythat
thedrainvalveisclosed,checktheproximityswitchonthe
drainvalve,turnthefryeroff,thenturnthefryeron.
DigitalSolidStateControl:
Note:Allcontrollertestpointsare atconnectorP/J1(clos-
estconnectortothe controller).
•With24VACsuppliedtopin#1(24VACsupply)andpin
# 5(24VAC input from DVI), the display should read
"OFF".
•With the controller turned on, there will be a 24 VDC
