PRE-RIDE SAFETY CHECK
GettoknowthefeelofyourTravelScooteranditscapabilities. Priderecommendsthatyouperformasafetycheck
beforeeachusetomakesureyourTravel Scooter operates smoothly and safely.
Performthefollowinginspections priortousingyourTravelScooter:
!Checkfor propertyreinflation(ifequippedwithpneumatic tyres).
!Checkthebrakes(freewheel lever in drive mode).
!Checkbatterycharge.
Ifyoudiscovera problem, contact your authorised PrideDealerforassistance.
WEIGHT LIMITATIONS
YourTravelScooterisratedfora maximumweightcapacity.Refertothe specificationstableforthisinformation.
WARNING! Exceeding the weight capacity voids your warranty and may result in personal
injury and damage to your Travel Scooter. Pride will not be held responsible for injuries
and/or property damage resulting from failure to observe weight limitations.
WARNING! Do not carry passengers on your Travel Scooter. Carrying passengers may

INCLINE INFORMATION
Moreand more buildings have rampswith specified degrees of inclination,designed for easy and safeaccess.
Somerampsmay have turning switchbacks(180-degreeturns)thatrequireyou to have goodcorneringskillson
yourTravel Scooter.
!Proceedwithextremecautionasyouapproachthedowngrade of a ramp or other incline.
!Take wideswingswithyourTravelScooteraroundany tight corners.Ifyoudo that,theTravelScooter’srear
wheelswillfollowawidearc,notcutthecornershort,andnotbumpintoorgethunguponanyrailingcorners.
!Whendriving down a ramp, keeptheTravel Scooter’sspeed adjustment set to theslowest speed setting to
ensureasafely controlleddescent.
!Avoidsudden stops and starts.
Whenclimbinganincline,trytokeepyourTravelScootermoving.Ifyoumuststop,startupagainslowly,andthen
acceleratecautiously. When driving downan incline, do so by setting the speed adjustment dial to the slowest
settingand drivingintheforwarddirectiononly.IfyourTravelScooterstarts tomovedown theinclinefasterthan
youanticipatedordesired, allowittocometoacompletestopbyreleasingthethrottle controllever.Thenpushthe
throttlecontrol leverforwardslightlytoensureasafely controlleddescent.
WARNING! When climbing an incline, do not zigzag or drive at an angle up the face of the
incline. Drive your Travel Scooter straight up the incline. This greatly reduces the possibility
of a tip or a fall. Always exercise extreme caution when negotiating an incline.
WARNING! Do not drive your Travel Scooter across the side of an incline or diagonally up
or down an incline; do not stop, if possible, while driving up or down an incline.
WARNING! You should not travel up or down a potentially hazardous incline (i.e., areas
covered with snow, ice, cut grass or wet leaves).
