2.2 Intended use
CAUTION!
This e-scooter is designed and intended for personal use
for short distance travel on tarmac and paved surfaces that
provide necessary grip for tyres and are typically used by
personal mobility devices, such as bicycles and skateboards.
As with other personal mobility devices, you risk injury from
collisions and falls while riding the e-scooter due to your
unsuitable handling, control and the environment you choose
to ride it in.This e-scooter should not be ridden on surfaces
with unstable grip, including but not limited to pebbly or
slippery surfaces.
The e-scooter should only be used by one person at a time.
You must not carry a passenger. Please take the same care and
consideration when riding your e-scooter as you would when
using any other vehicle.
This e-scooter may only be used by those over the age of 16
years; please check the rules in the area in which you ride
to confirm the local minimum age requirement. The user’s
riding weight should not exceed 120 kilograms (264 pounds),
including backpacks and other items that might be carried
on the rider. Exceeding the weight limit could lead to injury
of the rider and/or damage to the e-scooter, and will void the
warranty. Any load aached to the handle-bar will aect the
stability of the vehicle. Maximum user height 200cm.
In the UK, this e-scooter is classified as a ‘Personal Light
Electric Vehicle’ by the Department for Transport because it
is powered by a motor in the rear wheel that takes it’s energy
from a lithium ion baery pack. Therefore, it is illegal to ride
this e-scooter on UK roads and pavements without insurance,
as at September 2020. However, it is legal to use it on private
land and property with the consent of the owner.

13
Regulations vary by location; please ensure that you

the user’s responsibility to understand and observe the rules
applicable to the environment in which they ride. This is true
for all countries. These rules could include (but are not limited

Pure Air Go 14
1. Check the brakes, wheels and tyres before every ride.
Never ride with damaged brakes. You can slow down
the e-scooter by using the brake lever on the le side of
the handlebar. The brake lever activates both the drum
front brake and the electric brake of the rear wheel at the
same time. Squeeze the brake lever gently to eectively
use the brake in a stable way, and be aware that braking
distances may be extended in wet weather.
2. Before each ride, ensure the steering system is working
and that the clamp for the folding mechanism is in place
correctly, with the handle firmly tightened..
3. Wear flat closed shoes when using the e-scooter. Always
keep both feet on the e-scooter while riding, unless you
are just starting to accelerate.Wait until you have come
to a complete standstill before you get o the e-scooter.
We recommend wearing protective equipment (e.g.
helmet, kneepads, etc.) when riding the e-scooter. Hold the
handlebar firmly with both hands at all times when riding.
4. It is your responsibility to ride the e-scooter using good
judgement in order to reduce the risk of injury. For
example, refrain from use when taking medication that
cause drowsiness. Use common sense to detect and avoid
hazards that pose a risk to you, others and others’ property
while you use the e-scooter.
2.3 Ride safely
WARNING!
There are risks to driving any vehicle. This e-scooter is no
exception. As with a bicycle, find a safe area to practice in and,
if you can, have somebody help you with your first few rides. It
is important that you become familiar with the controls of the
e-scooter before riding in an environment where there is a risk
of collision. Practice in a quiet area away from other vehicles
and hazards.
Please ensure this manual is read and understood before riding.

15
5. The e-scooter is designed for outdoor use on smooth, flat,
stable surfaces.Your riding speed should be adjusted
to given conditions (e.g. light, weather, other trac
participants, etc.)
6. Both tyres must be in contact with the ground at all times
in order to grip the ground for you to stay upright. Avoid
obstacles and slippery surfaces (such as snow, ice, oil, sand,
etc) which could result in a loss of balance or traction and
cause a fall. Be careful when riding and avoid abrupt or
acrobatic manoeuvres, jumps, curbs, loose materials, tram
tracks, potholes and other obstacles (especially those
higher than 1 cm). If you must cross an obstacle, adapt your
trajectory and speed to that of a pedestrian, and get o
the scooter if the obstacle becomes dangerous.
7. If your e-scooter breaks or shows wear, we strongly
recommend having a service carried out.
Although this e-scooter is IP65 rated (see section 3.6), you
should exercise caution when riding in wet or snowy conditions
and dry the e-scooter aer use. Do not use the e-scooter in
temperatures below -5°C.This can have a negative eect on
the performance and life of the baery and the motor. There
is also an increased risk of slipping at these temperatures
due to ice formation. Always keep the e-scooter away from
high humidity, during use as well as in storage. Never turn o
the e-scooter while you are riding. Please do not charge the
baery when unaended. Disconnect the baery from the
power source when it is fully charged.
Avoid overcrowded or high-trac areas and respect the local
regulation and code of the road. Notify your presence if
approaching someone who has not seen or heard you. Cross the
protected passages while walking. Do not divert the use of the
vehicle.

3.3 Baery and charger
The motor of your e-scooter is powered using a lithium-ion
baery.
Fully charge the baery using the charger provided before
using it for the first time. Always charge the baery in a dry
and clean environment, and turn o the e-scooter during
charging. Only use the provided baery charger with your Pure
Air Go, and if you notice any damage on the charger or cables,
do not use it and contact Pure Electric. Only charge the Pure Air
Go in temperatures between 0°C and 40°C.
Plug one end of the charger into a wall socket and the other
into your Pure Air Go. You will see a red light on the charger
which indicates that the baery is charging, but is not yet fully
charged. During the baery’s first charge cycle, this can take up
to three and a half hours.

19
With the app for iOS and Android devices, you can connect to
your Bluetooth-enabled Pure Air Go to use your smartphone as
a great-looking dashboard that displays speed, baery level
and predicted range, among other metrics.
The charging process will stop automatically once the baery
has been fully charged. This is indicated by a green light on the
charger. When the light changes from red to green, you should
unplug the charger from the socket first, and then from the
e-scooter.
Do not charge the e-scooter and leave unaended. Remove the
charger when charging is complete.
Only use the original charger purchased with this e-scooter, or
an ocial replacement, to charge the e-scooter.
If you are not going to use your e-scooter for a long period, we
recommend giving the e-scooter a full charge at least once
every month.

3.5 Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your Pure Air Go helps keep it safe and
lengthens it’s lifetime.
Check all screws before using the e-scooter, especially those
of the handlebar, the hinge, the brakes and the front and rear
wheel. Ensure that all screws are tightened before each ride
as self-tightening nuts and fasteners can loosen over time.
Eliminate any sharp edges caused by use.
A small amount of grease on the inside faces of the clamp
mechanism will help it to release easily each time.
Thoroughly clean the e-scooter with a damp cloth aer use.The
front and rear ball bearings should be lubricated from time to
time. Ordinary bicycle oil can be used. Oil the area where the
axles run into the wheels.
Keep both tyres inflated to the maximum pressure as indicated
by the marking on the tyre wall (36psi).
For extra maintenance support, parts or advice, please visit our
of our stores or contact us via the website,

As with any mechanical component, a vehicle is subject to high
stresses and wear. The various materials and components may
react dierently to wear or fatigue. If the expected service life
for a component has been exceeded, it may break suddenly,
therefore risking causing injuries to the user. Cracks, scratches
and discoloration in the areas subject to high stresses indicate
that the component has exceeded its service life and should be
replaced.
