Before Using Product
Read and follow all instructions carefully to ensure that your product is properly
installed. Failure to follow these instructions for the assembly of use of your bed rail
could result in serious injury or death. The safety of your child is your responsibility.
Please keep these instructions for your reference.
IMPORTANT
• Do not use two separate bed rails on one bed. The bed rails will not function
properly and could be a safety hazard. Should you need coverage on both
sides of the bed, purchase the Regalo Double Sided Bed Rail.
WARNING
• SUFFOCATION AND STRANGULATION HAZARD
• Gaps in and around bed rails have entrapped young children and
killed infants.
• NEVER use with children younger than 2 years old. USE ONLY with
older children who can get in and out of adult bed without help.
NEVER use in place of crib.
• NEVER use unless bed rail is tight against mattress, without gaps,
and at least 9 in. from headboard and footboard. Do not fill gaps
with pillows, blankets, or other items that can suffocate children.
• NEVER use on toddler bed, bunk bed, water bed, or bed with
inflatable mattress. Use ONLY on adult bed.
• Use ONLY on a bed ranging from twin size to queen size.
• Use ONLY on adult bed with box spring and mattress.
• This bed rail is NOT recommended to be used on a platform
or similar style bed.
• This bed rail is intended for use with children 2 years to
5 years of age.
• Discontinue use if damaged, broken, or if parts are missing.
• Do not use if bed rail is not fully assembled.
• Periodically check that all spring pins are fully engaged on bed rail
support bars.

AssemblingYour Bed Rail
NOTE: Make sure that the spring pins are secured into the opposing holes
so that the bed rail cannot pull apart.
STEP 1
Connect the lower assembly frame tube to lower assembly A (A). Repeat
with lower assembly B (B). The spring pins will “click” in place when tubes
are fully engaged.
STEP 2
Connect the center tubes of lower assembly A and lower assembly B.

STEP 3
Connect one of the vertical rail assembly sides (C) into upper rail
assembly (D).

NOTE: Make sure that the spring pins are secured into the opposing holes
so that the bed rail cannot pull apart.
STEP 4
Turn mesh wall (E) inside out.
Then, insert frame from STEP 1 into upper sleeve of mesh wall.

STEP 5
Insert remaining vertical rail assembly side (C) into mesh wall sleeve.
Connect with opposite frame.
NOTE: Make sure that the spring pins are secured into the opposing holes
so that the bed rail cannot pull apart.

Reverse mesh wall and slide over entire assembled frame.

STEP 7
Insert upper rail assembly into lower rail assembly by pressing the plastic
flanges while inserting the tube ends. Slide each tube through the mounting
bracket until the plastic flanges snap out of the bottom of the mounting bracket.

NOTE: Lower rail assembly locks must be in the “unlock position” to insert
upper and lower rail assembly.

STEP 8
To lock bed rail in place press the locking sliders into the lock position on
each side. Each slider should lock in place.
NOTE: The top of both plastic flanges must rest against the bottom of the
mounting bracket.
STEP 9
Zip the bottom of mesh wall completely. Mesh wall must cover entire frame.
NOTE: Bed rail may need to be unlocked to zip the mesh wall easlily.

Installing Your Bed Rail
STEP 1
Start by placing the bed rail on the side of the bed you have chosen for
installation. The left and right swing lock and strap assemblies should
be placed on top of the box spring that will support the mattress. The ‘T’
shaped anchors and straps should be extended opposite the bed rail and
mounted to the outer edge of the box spring or mattress support structure.
NOTE: You may need to release the strap locking buckles located on the
under side of the plastic hinges. Ensure that the large end of the anchor
is pointing up. The anchoring straps should not be twisted. If twisted, the
anchoring straps will not tighten properly.

STEP 2
Once the bed rail is properly placed, check to make sure the left and right
slide lock and strap assemblies are parallel to one another. Then, place the
mattress on top of the assembly.
NOTE: In order for the bed rail mesh wall to be firmly held against the side
of the mattress you MUST properly tighten the anchoring straps. Please
follow the next STEPS 3 – 4 carefully.
STEP 3
Tighten the straps to bring the bed rail into its proper position. To tighten
the straps, first release the strap locks on the under side of the left and right
under bars. Pull the straps towards you until all the excess slack has been
pulled out from under the mattress.

STEP 4
If the strap does not pull through smoothly, the strap may be twisted under
the mattress. Correct this before continuing with the installation. Once you
have taken the slack out of the straps, give one final pull on the strap end,
hold it, and push down on the locking buckle to secure the strap tension.
Use the same procedure for each side to properly secure the bed rail.
NOTE: When using this bed rail on a foam mattress with little or no internal
structure, make sure not to over tighten the mounting straps. If over-tightened,
the mattress will likely fold or buckle in the middle and this will cause the
bed rail to not provide your child with the highest level of safety. Make slight
adjustments to find the best level of tightness on your mattress. The bed rail
must be tight but should not buckle or fold.
LOCKING BUCKLE

STEP 5
With your bed rail in the 'up' position, push in locker sliders to secure
your bed rail.
NOTE: After locking both buckles, check to make sure that the mesh wall
of the bed rail is firmly up against the side of the mattress. There should
be NO GAPS. If the mesh wall is not firmly against the side of the mattress,
check to make sure the locking buckle is functioning properly and that the
strap is not twisted beneath the mattress. Once this has been checked and
corrected if needed, unlock the buckle, pull on the end of the strap tightly
and lock the buckle again. Store the excess anchoring strap material by
tucking it under the mattress. Do not cut excess strap, may cause strap to
fray.

Operating Your Bed Rail
STEP 1
With your bed rail in the 'up' position, unlock the locking sliders on both
sides on lower rail assembly. This will allow the upper portion of the bed rail
to move freely up and down.
STEP 2
With both locking sliders in the unlocked position, hold the upper part of bed
rail frame and gently push down until bed rail reaches “down” position. To return
bed rail to “up” position, reverse Steps 1-2.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Periodically check the bed rail for signs of damage, wear or for missing
components. Do not use if any part is missing, worn or damaged. Check the bed
rail regularly to make sure all hardware and mountings are tight and secure. Do not
use abrasive cleaners or bleach when cleaning. Proper cleaning of bed rail can be
done by sponging it with warm water and mild detergent.
90 DAYS LIMITED WARRANTY
If, during the first 90 days after consumer purchase of the item, under reasonable
and non-commercial use and conditions of maintenance, it fails while owned by
the original purchaser because of the quality of materials or workmanship of finish
and assembly, Regalo International, LLC, will replace or repair it at Regalo’s option.
PROOF OF PURCHASE REQUIRED.

NE JAMAIS utiliser à la place d'un lit de bébé.
• NE JAMAIS utiliser si la barrière de lit n'est pas appuyée
fermement contre le matelas, sans aucun écart, et éloignée
d'au moins 23 cm (9 po) de la tête et du pied de lit. Ne
pas combler l'écart avec des oreillers, des couvertures ou
d'autres articles risquant d'étouffer l'enfant.

Assemblage de la barrière de lit
REMARQUE : Assurez-vous que les chevilles à ressort sont bien insérées
dans les trous opposés de la barrière de lit pour verrouiller les deux pièces.
ÉTAPE1
Raccorder le tube de l’assemblage du cadre inférieur à l’assemblage
inférieurA (A). Répéter avec l’assemblage inférieurB (B). Les goupilles à
ressort se mettront en place avec un «déclic» lorsque les tubes seront
complètement engagés.
ÉTAPE2
Connecter les tubes centraux de l’assemblage inférieurA et de l’assemblage
inférieurB.

Connecter l’un des côtés de l’assemblage du rail vertical (C) à l’assemblage
du rail supérieur (D).

REMARQUE : Assurez-vous que les chevilles à ressort sont bien insérées

ÉTAPE4
Retourner la paroi en maille (E) à l’envers. Ensuite, insérer le cadre
de l’ÉTAPE1 dans le manchon supérieur de la paroi en maille.
