Safety precautions
These safety precautions are essential for safe installation and use
of the shower toilet. Please read the precautions thoroughly before
installing the product properly and prevent accidents in use.
DANGER Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING Indicates dangerous situations where the user could suffer death
or serious injury if this product is used incorrectly.
CAUTION Indicates dangerous situations where the user could suffer minor
injury or property could be damaged if this product is used
incorrectly.
Explanation of terms and symbols
WARNING
DANGER
Burn hazard.Set seat temperature to LOW or OFF when shower toilet is used by the
following:
•Children, elderly persons, sick persons, and persons whose skin cannot feel heat.
•Persons on medication that makes them drowsy, and fatigued and intoxicated persons.
A responsible companion should be sure such persons safely use product.
Attach a grounding cable securely.
*There is danger of electric shock if there is a breakdown or current leakage.
*If there is no ground terminal in the outlet, consult your local electrician.
Absolutely do not allow anyone except an authorized service technician to disassemble,
repair or modify the shower toilet.
*There is danger of electric shock, or fire, and the shower toilet could malfunction,
causing injury.
Do not pour water or cleanser inside the shower toilet. Do not splash water on the body
or the power plug.
*There is danger of electric shock or fire.

For care of plastic parts, do not use any cleansers which are not safe to use on toilet
seats (toilet cleanser, home cleanser, bleach, benzene, paint thinner, scouring powder,
cresol).
To prevent damage to seat or lid, do not stand on lid or lean against lid while sitting on
seat.
Do not nick, damage, carve, bend unduly, pull on, twist, bind or place heavy objects on
top of the power cord, or pinch it between two objects.
*The above could damage the electrical conductors and cause electric shock or fire.
Do not use any power supply other than AC 230 V.
*Use of other voltages could cause electric shock or fire.
When removing the strainers, be sure to close the water shutoff valve. When installing
the strainers, tighten them fully so there is no gap.
*Failure to do so could result in water leakage.
Be sure to adjust the water shutoff valve and check for water leakage after installation.
*Household articles may get wet if there is water leakage.
If freezing weather is anticipated before handing the product to the customer, keep the
water drained out.
*Freeze damage may cause water leakage or damage household articles.
CAUTION
Never operate the shower toilet if it has a damaged cord or plug or if the plug is loose in
the wall outlet.
*There is danger of electric shock or fire.
If the supply cord is damaged, contact the manufacturer or its service agent for service,
in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not attach the shower toilet to any water source other than tap water.
*There is danger of electric shock or fire due to internal corrosion in the mechanism.
Do not pull out or insert the power plug with wet hands.
*There is danger of electric shock.
Install the earth leakage breaker firmly to the power supply.
*There is danger of electric shock if there is a breakdown or current leakage.
*If there is no earth leakage breaker, consult your local electrician.

Installing the product
Installation requirements
Before installing this product, ensure that each of the following installation requirements is met.
Product carton contents
Remove the parts from the product carton and make sure all the parts in the parts list (below) are
present. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure they are in good condition.
If any part is damaged or missing, do not install the Shower Toilet. Contact the nearest sales outlet for
the part(s) you need.
* The deodorizing cartridge has already
been incorporated into the product.

Power supply
*Use an outlet with a maximum rating of AC 230 V and 580 W.
*The length of the power cord is 1.2 m.
Install the outlet within reach of the power cord in a water-free position above the floor level.
*Be sure to ground the outlet.
- Ask a qualified electrical contractor to install the wiring for the power supply.
-Do not insert the power plug in the outlet until installation is completely finished. Doing so may cause
system failure.
*This product must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of
electric shock by providing a path of escape for the electric current. The power cord has a ground wire.
Do not use an adapter with the shower toilet’s power plug and do not use any other method to enable
connection to an improperly configured outlet.
Water supply
*Be sure to connect the water supply parts to the tap water line.
If surface water, industrial water or well water is used, it may cause deterioration of electrical and
mechanical parts and lead to accidents. There is danger of electric shock or fire due to corrosion of the
internal mechanism.
Water pressure
The minimum operating water pressure when 18 L/min. is flowing is 0.1 MPa {1.0 kgf/cm2} or
greater. The maximum water pressure is 0.75 MPa {7.5 kgf/cm2} under hydrostatic pressure.
Even if other fixtures are used simultaneously, a supply water pressure of 0.1 MPa {1.0 kgf/cm2} or
greater and less than 0.75 MPa {7.5 kgf/cm2} is required. If this minimum water pressure is not reached,
sufficient pressure to operate the shower toilet's cleaning function will not be obtained.
*Before installation, make sure that the water pressure satisfies the minimum water pressure
requirements.
Minimum installation clearance
The amount of space required for this toilet is shown in the following diagram. In order for the auto seat-
open function to operate correctly, a space of at least 400 mm is required in front of the toilet.

Remote control unit mounting location
The remote control unit should be mounted on the wall which is on the side where the toilet's
remote control light receptor is located (left side).
If it is necessary to mount the remote control unit on the opposite wall side, make sure the remote control
signals can be received from that position.
In the case also that the remote control unit's light receptor side wall has a wash stand installed and there
is quite some distance to the toilet, the light receptor may not pick up the remote control unit’s signals.
In such a case, install a screen that will reflect the signals within 1300 mm of the center of the toilet.
*Please provide a suitable screen at the site where the toilet is being installed.
The screen’s dimensions should be 1100 mm or greater in height and the W should assure the distance
from the remote control unit's light receptor to the remote control unit’s installation position. (However,
this will differ somewhat depending on the wall's finish, color and other conditions. Be aware that.)
Water supply hose
Connect the water supply pipe securely to the toilet.
*Failure to do so could result in water leakage.
Water supply location
Install the water shutoff valve, then perform the construction required to install the toilet body. The
positions where the water supply pipe and drain pipe should be set are as shown below.

Installation
1. Installing the water shutoff valve
CAUTION:
Do not get your hand caught in the water shutoff
valve or step on it.
*It could cause the pipe to become unstable or damage
it, causing water leakage.
*There is danger of marring the wall or the floor.
Install the water supply outlet in the proper
direction so that the water shutoff valve won’t cause
bending of the water supply hose.
After finishing the walls and floor, install the water
supply pipe and water shutoff valve.
*When installing the water shutoff valve on the water
supply pipe, wind some sealing material around the
threads, such as seal tape.
*Tighten the water shutoff valve fully using tools.
2. Installing the drain socket
(1) Cut the drain pipe in parallel with the floor.
CAUTION:
Cut off the drain pipe so that the cut surface is
parallel with the floor.
*If the cutting position is not accurate, it could cause
water leakage and generate bad odors.
(2) Drill pilot holes (S10) for the drain socket, and strike
the locally procured plastic anchors (S10).
(3) Clean the contacting part of the drain pipe and that
of the drain socket. Apply silicone on the contacting
part (see the figure) to seal the clearance between
the drain pipe and the drain socket.
CAUTION:
Be certain to seal the drain pipe and the drain
socket.
*If the sealing is not accurate, it could cause water
leakage and generate bad odors.
Do not cut the orifice of the drain socket.
*If the orifice is cut, it will be impossible to flush the
toilet.

(4) Fix the drain socket with the screws.
(5) Align the collar of the mounting base with the collar
of the drain socket to fix the position of the mounting
base.
(6) Drill a pilot hole (S10) for the mounting base, and
strike the locally procured plastic anchor (S10).
(7) Apply silicone on the edge of the drain socket to seal
it. See the figure on the previous page for the area
to apply silicone.
CAUTION:
Fix the mounting base on the floor before silicone
becomes hardened.
*If silicone becomes hardened, the mounting base will
not be fit into the drain socket.
(8) Align the collar of the mounting base with the collar
of the drain socket. Fix the mounting base with the
screw.
3. Mounting the toilet
(1) Insert the toilet drain pipe in the rubber drain joint of
the drain socket, then fasten the toilet down using
anchor nuts and cover the nuts with decorator caps
(large).
(2) Fasten the toilet to the toilet mounting base at the
front using a toilet mounting wood screw, then install
the decorator cap (small).
CAUTION:
Do not tighten the screws too tightly against the
ceramic.
*There is danger of the ceramic cracking.

4. Installing the water supply hose
(Body side)
Install the water supply
hose in a direction so
that it is not bent when
connected.
(1) Insert the end of the water supply hose in the water
supply inlet of the body.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
*Water may leak if the O-ring is broken or damaged.
Remove the cap in the water supply hose
immediately before connecting it to the water
shutoff valve.
*There is danger of dirt, etc. getting inside the water
supply hose while the work is proceeding, making it
difficult to shut off the flow of water.
(2) Fit the clip over the end of the water supply hose
and the body water supply inlet.
CAUTION:
Fit the clip from straight in back or straight in front
so that it fits securely.
*If it is fitted at a slant, the clip may become bent out of
shape and could not fasten the hose securely.
(3) Bend the clip around and fasten the water supply
hose and the body water supply inlet securely
together with it. After installation, turn the clip's open
portion so it fits in and locks together with the other
end.
CAUTION:
Fit the ends of the clip together, engaging them until
a click sound is heard.
* If it does not fit tightly, there could be water leakage.

5. Installing the body
(1) Remove the protective cover and protective cap.
Remove the protective cover from the toilet bowl,
and then remove the protective cap from the body.
(2) Install the flat packings.
Install the flat packings on the 2 mounting bolts on
the bottom of the body.
*Install the flat packings so that the body cover does
not get any flaw.

(3) Install the body on the toilet.
Place the mounting bolts on the bottom of the body
in the 2 mounting holes in the back of the toilet bowl
to install the body.
CAUTION:
Do not take hold of the flush handle to life the body.
*The body or the flush handle could become damaged.
Make sure the body is sitting firmly on the toilet
bowl.
*There is danger of water leaking from the water inlet to
the toilet if the body is not seated firmly on the toilet.
(4) Fasten the body.
1) Make sure the mounting nuts are open.
If they are closed, pull on them as shown until
they click.
2) Place the mounting nuts on the mounting bolts.
3) Push up on the mounting nuts to close them.
4) Turn the mounting nuts by hand to tighten them.
CAUTION:
Tighten the mounting nuts gradually, alternating the
tightening between the left and right sides to keep
from putting too much strain on one side.
*If the body is damaged from uneven tightening, it could
cause water leakage.
Mounting nuts are made of plastic. Be sure to
tighten them by hand only.
*Otherwise, there is danger of the toilet becoming
cracked.

6. Installing the water supply hose
(Water shutoff valve side)
(1) Remove the cap from the end of the water supply
hose, then insert it in the water supply outlet.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
*Water may leak if the O-ring is broken or damaged.
Remove the cap in the water supply hose
immediately before connecting it to the water
shutoff valve.
*There is danger of dirt, etc. getting inside the water
supply hose while the work is proceeding, making it
difficult to shut off the flow of water.
Do not bend the water supply
hose at a sharp angle.
*There is danger of its becoming
damaged and leaking water.
It could also cause the toilet not
to flush properly.
(2) Fasten the clip securely.
CAUTION:
Fit the clip securely.
*If it does not fit tightly, there could be water leakage.
(3) Install the clip in the same way as on the body
supply water inlet side, making sure the two sides of
the clip fit securely and lock together.
CAUTION:
Fit the ends of the clip together, engaging them until
a click sound is heard.
*If it does not fit tightly, there could be water leakage.

7. Connecting the power supply
(1) Insert the power plug in the wall outlet.
CAUTION:
Be sure to turn on the power only after installation
of the product is completed.
Do not insert the power plug in the outlet while
touching the toilet seat. The shower nozzle
(posterior, bidet) may not extend if this happens.
If the shower nozzle does not extend, pull out the
power plug, then insert it again without touching the
toilet seat.
(2) Confirm that the system has been turned on.
Confirm that the power lamp on the body is lit.
8. Positioning the remote control unit
(1) Open the back cover of the remote control unit and
insert the batteries (four AA size batteries).
CAUTION:
Be careful to insert the batteries with the positive
and negative poles facing the correct direction.
Do not mix new and old batteries when changing
the batteries in the remote control unit.
(2) Place the remote control unit in the position you
would like it to be in, sit down on the toilet seat and
press the stop switch. If you hear an electronic
"beep" sound from the shower toilet body, that
confirms that the remote control unit works in that
position.
CAUTION:
If the shower or the bidet
button is pressed, water will
be sprayed. Be aware that.
Make sure there is adequate
space directly above the
remote control unit to enable
free removal from and return
to the bracket.
Attach a grounding cable securely.
* There is danger of electric shock if there is a
breakdown or current leakage.
* If there is no ground terminal in the outlet, consult
your local electrician.

9. Mounting the remote control unit
(1) Place the bracket on the wall so that it aligns with
the internal wall frame, then mount it in the desired
mounting position.
If mounted in plywood paneling 5 mm or greater
in thickness:
Fasten the bracket to the wall with the wood screws.
If mounted either in plywood paneling 5 mm or
less in thickness or in gypsum board:
1)In plywood paneling, drill holes with a diameter of
6 mm; in gypsum board, drill holes with a
diameter of 5 mm .
2)Using a hammer, gently drive the plastic anchors
into the holes.
3)Fasten the bracket securely to the anchors using
wood screws. As you tighten the screws, they are
hard to turn at first, then gradually get easier to
turn, and then are hard to turn again.
If mounted in concrete:
1)Drill holes with a diameter of 6 mm and a depth of
approximately 33 mm.
2)Using a hammer, gently drive the plastic anchors
into the holes.
3)Fasten the bracket securely to the anchors using
wood screws.
(2) Align the remote control unit with the bracket and
then push it down onto the bracket.
(3) Hold down the "Hr" button on the remote control
unit's sub-control panel, and when the desired
number appears for the current time, release the
button.
Be careful about the AM (morning) and PM
(afternoon) settings.

unit's sub-control panel, and when the desired
number appears, release the button

10.Water leakage check
(1) Turn the Open/Close handle of the water shutoff
valve to the fully open position and turn on the flow
of water to the shower toilet.
(2) Check to make sure there is no water leakage.
1)Operate the remote control unit, flushing the toilet
several times.
2)Check each of the connections for water leakage.
At the same time, check if there is anything
abnormal about the operation of the flush lever,
etc.
CAUTION:
Repeat the test to check on water leakage from the
water supply and drain connections several times. If
water doesn't flow, the confirmation can be
troublesome.
(3) Check the toilet's flushing action.
Place 7 pieces of toilet paper, each about 760 mm
long, crumpled into balls, into the toilet bowl. Check
if all the balls can be flushed down the drain in one
flush.
11.Trial operation
Before proceeding to the next step, be sure to perform
trial operation. Follow the procedure given under "Trial
operation" following "12. Installing the side panels".
12.Installing the side panels
(1) Insert the projections on each of the side panels in
the holes in the sides of the shower toilet body.
(2) Press the bottom of the side panel, lowering it to the
bottom of the toilet. It fastens securely in place.

Trial operation
Check the shower and bidet spray.
* Since there is an occupied seat sensor, the
shower toilet's shower, bidet and deodorizing
functions will not operate if you don't touch the
seat.
Roll up your sleeve
and bring your bare
arm in direct contact
with the toilet seat.
1. Check the shower washing operation.
(1) Rest your arm on the toilet seat, then press the
POWERFUL shower button.
It takes 1 to 2 minutes for the tank to fill and for
water to come out from the shower nozzle. (It will
come out sooner if the spray strength is set at the
maximum setting.)
The shower will stop automatically 2 minutes after
the shower button is pressed. If the nozzle does not
extend, press the button again.
(2) When the nozzle extends, cover the tip with the
palm of your hand to catch the spray.
(3) Press the stop button to stop the shower spray.
2. Perform the same check with the
bidet spray function.
*There is no deodorizing button. Deodorizing starts when a person stands in front of the toilet.
AUTO FLUSH
Flushes the toilet
automatically when you rise
from the toilet seat.

Saves power by lowering
the toilet seat and water
temperature.

Outputs ions that make
the room comfortable.

forward or backward,
washing a wider range.

Shifts the position of the
nozzle during shower
spray and bidet spray.

When the spray strength is weak, clean the strainer.
(1) Close the water shutoff valve's Open/Close handle.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the strainer with the water shutoff
valve opened.
*Doing so may cause water leakage from the strainer.
(2) Press the flush button on the remote control unit.
(3) Remove the side panel on the left side of the toilet,
then place a wash basin, etc. underneath and
remove the strainer for the toilet.
(4) Place the wash basin, etc. underneath and remove
the shower toilet strainer on the bottom right of the
shower toilet body.
(5) Clean the strainers.
(6) Install the strainers again in their original place.
CAUTION:
When installing the strainers, tighten them
completely so there is no gap.
*If they are not tightened fully, water could leak from the
strainers.
(7) Open the water shutoff valve.
*If water doesn't come out even after the strainers
have been cleaned, check the water supply
pressure.

Drain out the water if a freeze is expected before handing
the product to the customer.
(1) Close the water shutoff valve's Open/Close handle.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the strainer with the water shutoff
valve opened.
*Doing so may cause water leakage from the strainer.
(2) Turn the flush lever
counterclockwise.
(3) Remove the side panel on the left side of the toilet,
open the strainer and drain the water out of the
water shutoff valve.
(4) Place a wash basin or similar container underneath,
then remove the drain plug from the warm water
tank on the bottom right side of the shower toilet
body.
(5) Remove the shower toilet strainer on the bottom
right side of the shower toilet body.
(6) Tighten the drain plug to the warm water tank and
the strainers securely.
(7) Pull the power plug from the outlet.
