1 Product Overview
The RG-NBS7000 series switches are next-generation switches launched by Ruijie independently. The switch
comes into twomodels:RG-NBS7003andRG-NBS7006.
RG-NBS7003: Anyline card can work as a supervisor engine in slot 1 (slot 1 must be occupied). The switch
provides threelinecard slots.

The hardware system of the RG-NBS7003 switch includes the chassis, power supply system, system modules
and heat dissipationsystem.
The powersupplysystem: Theswitch provides two powersupplyslots and supports 1+1power redundancy.

●Press theResetbuttonfor two to five seconds,and no configurations will be changedandno modulewill
be reset.
●Press theResetbuttonfor over 5 seconds,andallmoduleswillberestoredtofactory settings with
configurationbackupsaved.After restart,use the defaultpassword tologin to the Webmanagement
system. You can select Reset Backup to restore previous configurations, or select Delete Backup to delete
previous configurations.

The RG-NBS7003switchadopts AC powerinput.
The RG-PA300I-FS and RG-PA460I-FS modules are available. If you want to use three
M7000-48SFP2XS-EA modules, a combination of two M7000-48SFP2XS-EA modules and one
M7000-24GT24SFP2XS-EA module, a combination of two M7000-48SFP2XS-EA modules and one
M7000-16XS-EA, or a combination of one M7000-48SFP2XS-EA module and two M7000-16XS-EA
modules,selecttheRG-PA460I-FS module.Inother cases,selecttheRG-PA300I-FS module.
Note
The RG-NBS7003switchsupports 1+1powersupplyredundancy.You are advisedto configurepowersupply
redundancyto improve system stabilityand reliability.

1.1.7 Heat Dissipation
The working temperature of the RG-NBS7003 switch ranges from 0 to 50°C (32°F to 122°F). The heat
dissipation design needs to ensure the stability, safety and maintainability of the switch in such environment.
The RG-NBS7003 switch adopts fan ventilation and forced convection to ensure the switch can work normally
in specified environment.

2 Modules
The RG-NBS7003 switch adopts a modular design. Compliant with industry standards, the design divides
system modules and integrates module interfaces to ensure system perfection and module independence. On
the RG-NBS7003, anyline card can work as a supervisor engine inslot 1.The line cards provide 10/100/1000
Mbps Ethernet electrical ports with auto-negotiation, 100/1000 Mbps SFP (SMF/MMF) ports, and 10GE SFP+
ports.
