NORME PER LA SICUREZZA E LA PREVENZIONE DEGLI INFORTUNI
Le istruzioni per la sicurezza e la prevenzione degli infortuni sono
riportate nel fascicolo “INDICAZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA” che
costituisce parte integrante della presente documentazione; il libretto
d’istruzioni per l’uso riporta solamente le informazioni aggiuntive
strettamente correlate all’uso specifico della macchina.
Non fare funzionare mai gli utensili senza i dispositivi di protezione
montati. Ogni operazione sulla macchina venga eseguita a spina
disinserita. Prima dell'azionamento la macchina sia saldamente
impugnata e non sia a contatto con la superficie di lavoro.
Indossate abiti adatti a svolgere il lavoro che state per compiere.
Durante la lucidatura/levigatura possono formarsi polveri nocive alla
salute: proteggere le vie respiratorie con dispositivi a norma di legge e
rispettare le disposizioni di sicurezza valide per il materiale sottoposto a
lavorazione.
A causa dei rischi che possono insorgere durante la lucidatura/levigatu-
ra, si raccomanda di utilizzare sempre tutti i D.P.I. (dispositivi di prote-
zione individuale, quali guanti, cuffie, occhiali protettivi, maschere per
la protezione delle vie respiratorie ecc.) secondo le normative di
legge vigenti per prevenire o ridurre le possibilità di incidenti.
Attenzione! l'utensile continua per alcuni secondi a funzionare dopo
lo spegnimento!
UTILIZZO CONFORME AGLI SCOPI PREVISTI
Le macchine devono essere utilizzate solo per la lucidatura/levigatu-
ra di superfici verniciate. Le macchine non devono funzionare in
ambiente umido o in presenza di gas o liquidi infiammabili.
Verificare prima dell’uso che le caratteristiche di lavoro del piattello
portatampone/disco abrasivo siano compatibili con quelle dell’utensi-
le, che non siano rotti o usurati, che siano montati, maneggiati e con-
servati con cura secondo le indicazioni del costruttore.
Controllare che il pezzo da lavorare sia sufficientemente fissato.
In caso di utilizzo non conforme agli scopi previsti, l’utilizzatore si
assume ogni responsabilità per eventuali danni ed incidenti.

MESSA IN FUNZIONE
Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina accertarsi che:
- l’imballo sia integro e non mostri segni di danneggiamento dovuti a
trasporto e magazzinaggio;
- la macchina sia completa; controllare che numero e natura dei
componenti siano conformi a quanto riportato sul presente libretto;
-la fonte di energia e le prese di corrente a disposizione possano
sopportare il carico indicato in tabella e riportato sulla targhetta di
identificazione della macchina il cui facsimile, con spiegazioni, è
riportato a pag. 7.
MONTAGGIO DELLA MACCHINA
Avvitare l'impugnatura (6) e la protezione ausiliaria (12); queste possono
essere posizionate sia a destra che a sinistra del corpo macchina.
MONTAGGIO DEL PLATORELLO VULCOFIX E DEL PIATTELLO
PORTATAMPONE
Se si opera con le macchine (LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N):
1. inserire il platorello vulcofix (8A) sull’albero mandrino (5) (fig. 1);
2. inserire il disco abrasivo;
3. avvitare la ghiera conica (7) e serrare con la chiave a pioli mantenendo
fermo l’albero mandrino con la chiave da 17 mm. (fig. 2).
Se si opera con le macchine (LH22N - LH22EN):
1. Avvitare il piattello portatampone (8) sull’albero mandrino (5);
2. bloccare l’albero mandrino spingendo il pulsante (11) facendo
contemporaneamente ruotare il piattello finchè se ne avverta il blocco.
AVVERTENZA! Il pulsante di blocco del piattello non deve mai
essere premuto prima che l’utensile non sia completamente fermo,
pena la rottura della scatola ingranaggi o del perno del pulsante e
al conseguente decadimento della garanzia.
3. serrare a fondo il piattello.
4. liberare l’albero mandrino rilasciando il pulsante e far ruotare a mano il
piattello per controllarne l’avvenuto sbloccaggio.
PRIMA DELLA MESSA IN SERVIZIO
Accertarsi che:
- la fonte di energia sia conforme alle caratteristiche della macchina;
- cavo di alimentazione e relativa spina siano in perfetto stato;
- l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento sia efficiente operando però
a spina disinserita;
- tutti i componenti della macchina siano montati correttamente e non
presentino segni di danneggiamento;
- le feritoie di ventilazione non siano ostruite.
AVVIAMENTO E FERMATA
- Avviamento: premere la leva dell'interuttore (2) verso l’alto; qualora se ne
desideri il bloccaggio in posizione "inserito", spingere in avanti il blocco
dell’interruttore (3) verso il corpo della macchina.
- Fermata: rilasciare la leva dell’interruttore (2); qualora l’interruttore è in
posizione “inserito”, premere la leva dell’interruttore (2) verso l’alto in modo
da rilasciare il blocco dell’interruttore (3).
Attenzione: l’utensile continua a ruotare dopo il suo spegnimento.
Attendere che si sia fermato completamente prima di posarlo.
FUNZIONAMENTO DI PROVA
Avviare la macchina e controllare che non siano presenti vibrazioni
anomale o scentrature del piattello o del disco abrasivo.
In caso contrario spegnere la macchina immediatamente e
provvedere ad eliminare le anomalie.
REGOLAZIONE ELETTRONICA DEL NUMERO DI GIRI
(LH22EN - LH32EN)
La regolazione del numero di giri si ottiene manovrando opportuna-
mente la rotella (3). La scelta della velocità va fatta in funzione delle
caratteristiche dei tamponi o dei dischi abrasivi e del materiale da lavorare.

UTILIZZAZIONE DEL MODELLO LH232N COME LUCIDATRICE
(1.600 giri/min.)
(A)
- Inserire un cacciavite nell'apposita
sede in modo da bloccare l'albero
mandrino (5);
- svitare con la chiave da 17 mm l'albero
mandrino.
(B)
Rimuovere il tappo (come nella figura B)
ed avvitare nella sede filettata l'albero
precedentemente rimosso dalla sede
inferiore.
(C)
- Inserire un cacciavite nell’apposita
sede in modo da bloccare l’albero;
- serrare l’albero con la chiave da 17 mm.
Potete ora utilizzare l’utensile come
lucidatrice dopo aver montato il piattello
secondo le istruzioni nel libretto.
SMONTAGGIO E SOSTITUZIONE DEI DISCHI ABRASIVI
(LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N)
- Bloccare l’albero mandrino con la chiave da 17 mm;
- svitare la ghiera conica di fissaggio con la chiave a pioli;
- sostituire il disco abrasivo;
- riavvitare la ghiera conica e serrare con la chiave a pioli.
Non sono ammessi altri attrezzi per il serraggio/disserraggio.
SMONTAGGIO DEL PIATTELLO PORTATAMPONE
(LH22N - LH22EN)
- Bloccare l'albero mandrino spingendo il pulsante (11) facendo contem-
poraneamente ruotare il piattello finchè se ne avverta il blocco.
AVVERTENZA!: il pulsante di blocco del piattello non deve mai
essere premuto prima che l'utensile non sia completamente fermo,
pena la rottura della scatola ingranaggi o del perno del pulsante e al
conseguente decadimento della garanzia;
- smontare il piattello.
UTENSILI DI LAVORO AMMESSI
LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N
Dischi abrasivi da Ø 178 mm.
LH22N - LH22EN - LH232N
Piattelli portatamponi e tamponi fino a Ø 200 mm.
MANUTENZIONE
Tutte le operazioni vanno eseguite a spina disinserita.
A fine lavoro, od in caso di necessità, spolverare con getto d'aria
compressa il corpo macchina prestando particolare attenzione alla pulizia
delle feritoie di ventilazione del motore.
Non sono ammessi altri interventi da parte dell'utente.
Per la manutenzione e la periodica pulizia delle parti interne, come spaz-
zole, cuscinetti, ingranaggi etc. o altre necessità rivolgersi ai Centri di As-
sistenza autorizzati.
SICUREZZA ELETTRICA - BASSA TENSIONE
Le prove/verifiche sono state eseguite in accordo alle norme:
EN 60745-1 sicurezza degli utensili elettrici a motore portatili
EN 60745-2-3 norme particolari per lucidatrici.
SCHERMATURA CONTRO I RADIODISTURBI
Le macchine sono conformi agli effetti della prevenzione ed eliminazione
dei radiodisturbi misurati secondo le norme EN55014-1+EN55014-2;
EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
FORMAZIONE DI RUMORE
Il livello di pressione sonora, al posto di lavoro, generato dalla macchina
in condizioni normali è di 88,7 dB (A) - potenza sonora 99,7 dB (A) -
misurati secondo le norme EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO 11203.
Attenzione: indossare adeguati presidi per la difesa dell'udito! (vedi
avvertenze generali).
VALORE MEDIO DELL'ACCELERAZIONE
Il valore quadratico medio dell'accelerazione è inferiore a 2,5 m/sec2 misu-
rati secondo le norme UNI EN 28662 + UNI EN ISO 5349.

GARANZIA
Tutte le macchine costruite dalla RUPES Spa sono garantite per 12 mesi dalla
data di acquisto contro difetti di materiale e di fabbricazione. Le macchine devo-
no essere utilizzate esclusivamente con accessori e ricambi originali RUPES: si
declina ogni responsabilità per danni o incidenti provocati dall’inosservanza
della presente norma che causa anche il decadimento della garanzia. La garan-
zia decade qualora non vengano rispettate le prescrizioni del presente libretto o
qualora venga fatto uso improprio della macchina. Decade altresì se la macchi-
na viene smontata o manomessa o se vi sono evidenti danni derivanti da cattiva
cura della stessa. La garanzia è subordinata alla compilazione del tagliando
riportato sull’ultima pagina di copertina del presente libretto d'istruzioni. In
caso di accertato malfunzionamento la macchina, accompagnata dal certificato
di garanzia, dovrà essere consegnata o spedita franco di porto, non smontata e
nell'imballo originale, al fabbricante o ad un Centro di Assistenza autorizzato ri-
portato nell'elenco allegato al presente libretto. In ogni caso la garanzia non dà
diritto alla sostituzione della macchina. La RUPES Spa si riserva di apportare
qualsiasi modifica alle caratteristiche tecniche o estetiche dei propri prodotti
senza preavviso. Non si assume nessuna responsabilità per eventuali errori di
stampa. Il presente stampato annulla e sostituisce i precedenti.
TARGHETTA DI IDENTIFICAZIONE DELLA MACCHINA
POSIZIONAMENTO E SIGNIFICATO DEI DATI
1. Tipo della macchina.

4. Corrente assorbita espressa in Ampere (A). Accertarsi che la linea elet-
trica cui viene allacciata la macchina possa agevolmente sopportare

7. Dati tecnici della macchina.
8. Numero di giri/min.
9. Il doppio quadrato indica che la macchina è in doppio isolamento e
quindi non necessita di messa a terra tramite il cordone di alimentazione.
10. Leggere tutte queste istruzioni prima di azionare il presente pro-
dotto.
11. Dispositivi di protezione individuale.
12. Il prodotto, in ottemperanza alla Direttiva Europea 2002/96/CE
(RAEE)+2003/108/CE e alla sua attuazione nel diritto nazionale, quan-
do giunge a fine vita, non deve essere disperso nell’ambiente o getta-
to tra i rifiuti domestici, ma deve esse smaltito presso i centri di raccol-
ta differenziata autorizzati (contattare le autorità locali competenti per
conoscere dove smaltire il prodotto secondo le norme di legge). Il cor-
retto smaltimento del prodotto contribuisce alla tutela della salute e al-
la salvaguardia dell’ambiente. Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto
comporta sanzioni a carico dei trasgressori.

GENERAL WARNINGS
SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION INSTRUCTIONS
The safety and accident prevention instructions are reported in the
“SAFETY INSTRUCTION” booklet which forms an integral part of
these documents; the operating instructions indicate the additional
information required specifically for use of the tool.
Never use the tools without the safety guards.
Any operations carried out on the tool must be effected with the power
supply disconnected.
Before starting the tool, ensure that it is held tightly and not in contact
with the work surface.
Wear clothing suited to the work you are about to perform.
Hazardous dust may form during polishing/sanding: use regulation
safety devices for personal protection and observe safety norms valid
for the processed work material.
Due to risks that may arise during polishing/sanding, we recommend
the constant use of P.S.D. (personal safety devices such as gloves,
headphones, goggles, face masks, etc.) according to laws in force to
prevent or reduce accident probability.
Warning! the appliance continues to work for a few seconds after it
has been switched off!
CORRECT USAGE
The tools must only be used for polishing/sanding painted surfaces.
The machine must not be operated in humid environments or in the
presence of flammable gas or liquids.
Before use make sure that the buffer pad/abrasive disc work speci-
fications are compatible to the tool and are not broken or worn. Make
sure they are assembled, handled and stored with care according to
the manufacturer's instructions.
Make sure the work piece is sufficiently fastened.
The user bears sole responsibility for any damage or accidents
resulting from incorrect use.

STARTING UP
Before starting-up the tool ensure that:
- the packaging is complete and does not show signs of having been
damaged during storage or transport;
- the tool is complete; check that the number and type of components
comply with that reported in this instruction booklet;
- the power supply and socket outlet can support the load reported in the
table and that indicated on the tool identification plate reproduced and
explained on page 11.
ASSEMBLING THE TOOL
Assemble the handle (6) and auxiliary hand protection (12); these can be
positioned either on the left or right of the tool body.
MOUNTING THE VULCOFIX PAD AND BUFFER PAD
If working with machines (LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N):
1. Insert the vulcofix pad (8A) on the spindle (5) (fig. 1).
2. Insert the abrasive disc;
3. Screw on the tapered ring nut (7) and tighten it using the pin spanner,
preventing the spindle from moving using the 17 mm. spanner (fig. 2).
If working with machines (LH22N - LH22EN):
1. Screw the buffer pad (8) on the spindle (5).
2. Lock the spindle by pressing button (11), while at the same time
rotating the pad until it locks position.
WARNING: never press the button to lock the pad orpas until the tool
has stopped moving and is perfectly stationary; the gear box or the
push button pin could be broken and the guarantee would be
invalidated.
3. Firmly tighten the disk.
4. Unlock the spindle by releasing the button and rotate the disc pad by
hand to ensure that it runs freely.
BEFORE STARTING THE TOOL
Ensure that:
- the power supply conforms with the characteristics of the tool;
- the power supply cable and plug are in perfect condition;
- the ON/OFF switch works properly though with the power supply
disconnected;
- all the parts of the tool have been assembled in the proper manner and
that there are no signs of damage;
- the ventilation slots are not obstructed.
STARTING AND STOPPING
- Starting:move the switch lever (2) up; to lock it in "engaged" position,
move the switch block (3) forward towards the machine body.
- Stopping: : release the switch lever (2); if the switch is in "engaged"
position, move the switch lever (2) up in order to release the switch
block (3).
Warning! The tool continues to rotate after it is turned off.
Wait until it has come to a full stop before laying it down.
TEST RUN
Start the tool and check that there are no unusual vibration, no
dismatching of the buffer pad or of the abrasive disc.
Otherwise, switch-off the tool immediately and eliminate the cause.
ELECTRONIC SELECTING RPM (LH22EN - LH32EN)
The rpm can be adjusted by rotating the wheel (3). The choice of speed
depends on the characteristics of the abrasive disc and the material to be
worked.

USING THE LH232N MODEL AS A POLISHER
(1600 rpm)
(A)
- Insert a screwdriver in the special slot
to lock the spindle (5);
- use the 17 mm spanner to unscrew
the spindle.
(B)
Remove the plug (as in figure B) and
screw the threaded spindle previous
removed from the lower housing in the
seating.
(C)
- Insert a screwdriver in the specific
housing to block the shaft;
- tighten the shaft with the 17 mm wrench.
You can now use the tool as a polisher
after assembling the disk following the
instructions in the booklet.
DISMOUNTING AND REPLACING ABRASIVE DISCS
(LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N)
- Hold the spindle still with the 17 mm. spanner;
- unscrew the tapered ring nut, loosening it with the pin spanner;
- replace the used abrasive disc;
- re-tighten the tapered lock nut and lock it in position using the pin spanner.
The use of any other tool is strictly prohibited.
DISMOUNTING THE BUFFER PAD (LH22N - LH22EN)
- Lock the spindle by pressing button (11), while at the same time rotating
the pad until it locks position.
WARNING: never press the button to lock the pad orpas until the
tool has stopped moving and is perfectly stationary; the gear box or
the push button pin could be broken and the guarantee would be
invalidated;
- dismount the pad.

MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations are carried out with the power supply
disconnected.
At the end of each work session, or when required, remove any dust from
the body of the tool using a jet of compressed air, paying particular
attention to the motor ventilation slots.
No other maintenance operations must be undertaken by the user.
Maintenance and cleaning of the inner parts, like brushes, ball
bearings, gears etc. or others, must be carried out only by an
authorised customer-service workshop.
ELECTRIC SAFETY - LOW TENSION
The tests have been carried out in accordance with the standard:
EN 60745-1 safety of hand-held electric motor operated tools
EN 60745-2-3 particular requirements for polishers.
RADIO SUPPRESSION
The tools are suppressed in accordance for the prevention and elimination
of radio disturbances measured in accordance with standard: EN55014-1+
EN55014-2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
NOISE
The pressure noise level, produced by the machine in normal working
conditions at the work station is 88,7 dB (A) - noise power 99,7 dB (A) -
measured according to regulation EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO 11203.

INSTRUCTIONS RELATIVES A LA SECURITE
ET A LA PROTECTION CONTRE LES ACCIDENTS DU TRAVAIL
Les instructions relatives à la sécurité et à la protection contre les
accidents du travail sont contenues dans le fascicule "INDICATIONS
RELATIVES A LA SECURITE" qui fait partie intégrante de la présente
documentation; le livret d'instructions relatives à l'utilisation indique
uniquement les informations complémentaires qui sont étroitement
linées à l'utilisation spécifique de la machine. Ne jamais faire fonction-
ner les outils sans avoir monté les dispositifs de protection.
Chaque opération effectuée sur la machine ait lieu aprés que la fiche
ait étè dèbranchèe.
Avant sa mise en marche, la machine soit empoignée solidement et
qu’elle ne soit pas en contact avec la surface de travail.
Portez des vêtements adaptés au travail que vous devez exécute.
Des poussières pouvant nuire à la santé sont susceptibles de se for-
mer pendant le polissage/ponçage : protéger les voies respiratoires à
l'aide de dispositifs conformes aux règlements et respecter les mesu-
res de sécurité applicables au matériau en cours d'usinage.
A cause des risques qui peuvent survenir durant la polissage/polissu-
re, il est conseillé de toujours utiliser tous les D.P.I. (dispositifs de pro-
tection individuels tels que gants, oreillettes, lunettes de protection,
masques de protection des voies respiratoires, etc.) selon les normes
en vigueur pour prévenir ou réduire les risques d'accidents.
Attention! l'outil continue à fonctionnner pendant quelques secondes
après l'arrêt!
UTILISATION CONFORME
Les machines ne doivent servir qu'au polissage/polissure des
surfaces peintes.
La machine ne doit jamais fonctionner ni dans une ambiance humide
ni en présence de gaz ou de liquides inflammables.
Vérifiez avant l'usage si les caractéristiques de travail des plateaux
porte-tampons/disque abrasif sont compatibles avec celles de l'outil,
s'ils ne sont ni cassés, ni usés, s'ils sont montés, manipulés et
conservés avec soin, conformément aux indications du fabricant.
Contrôler que le poids de la pièce à travailler est suffisamment fixé.
En cas d'utilisation non conforme aux buts prévus, l'utilisateur sera
tenu responsable des éventuels dommages et accidents.

MISE EN SERVICE
Avant de mettre la machine en service, s'assurer que:
- l'emballage est intègre et qu'il ne montre aucun signe d'endommage-
ments dus au transp ort et au stockage;
- la machine est complète; s'assurer que le nombre et la nature des com-
posants sont conformes aux indications contenues dans le présent livret
d'instructions;
- la source d'énergie et les prises de courant à disposition peuvent
supporter la charge indiquée dans le tableau et sur la plaquette
d'identification de la machine, dont le fac-similé et les explications relatives
sont fournis page 15.
MONTAGE DE LA MACHINE
Visser la poignée (6) et la protection auxiliaire (12); ce peut etre mise à
droite ou à gauche du corps de la machine.
MONTAGE DU PLATEAU VULCOFIX ET DU PLATEAU PORTE-TAMPON
Si on opère avec les machines (LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N):
1. Mettre le plateau vulcofix (8A) sur l’arbre mandrin (5) (fig. 1);
2. mettre le disque abrasif;
3. visser le collier conique (7) et serrer à l’aide de la clé à tétonsen immo-
bilisant l’arbre mandrin à l’aide de la clé de 17 mm (fig. 2).
Si on opère avec les machines (LH22N - LH22EN):
1. Visser le plateau porte-tampon (8) sur l’arbre mandrin (5).
2. Bloquer l'arbre mandrin en poussant le bouton (11) et en faisant en
même temps tourner le plateu jusqu'à ce qu'elle se bloque.
MISE EN GARDE. ne jamais appuyer sur le bouton de blocage du
plateau avant que l'outil ne soit completement arrete sous peine de
rupture du boitier des engrenages ou de la tige du bouton et de
l'annulation de la garantie.
3. Serrer le plateau à fond.
4. Libérer l'arbre mandrin en relachant le bouton et faire tourner le plateu
à la main pour s'assurer qu'elle s'est débloquée.
AVANT LA MISE EN SERVICE
S'assurer que:
- la source d'énergie est conforme aux caractéristiques de la machine;
- le câble d'alimentation et la fiche relative sont en parfait état;
- l'interrupteur de mise en marche/arrêt est efficace en agissant
cependant lorsque la fiche est débranchée;
- tous les composants de la machine sont montés correctement et ne
présentent pas de signes d'endommagement;
- les fentes de ventililation ne sont pas bouchées.
MISE EN MARCHE ET ARRET
- Mise en marche: appuyer sur le levier de l’interrupteur (2) vers le haut ;
si l’on souhaite qu’il se bloque dans la position « enclenché », pousser
vers l’avant le verrouillage de l’interrupteur (3) vers le corps de la
machine.
- Arrêt: relâcher le levier de l’interrupteur (2) ; si l’interrupteur est en
position « enclenché », appuyer sur le levier de l’interrupteur (2) vers le
haut de manière à relâcher le verrouillage de l’interrupteur (3).
Attention ! L'outil continue de tourner même après l'arrêt.
Attendre l'arrêt complet avant de la poser.
FONCTIONNEMENT D'ESSAI
Mettre la machine en marche et s'assurer que le plateau ou le disque
abrasif ne vibre pas ou n'est pas décentré.
Dans le cas contraire, débrancher immediatement et éliminer les
anomalies.
REGLAGE ÉLECTRONIQUE DU NOMBRE DE TOURS (LH22EN - LH32EN)
Le réglage du nombre de tours s'obtient en manoeuvrant de manière
appropriée le bouton (3) situé sur la partie arrière de la machine.
Le choix de la vitesse doit être fait en fonction des caractèristiques des
disques abrasif et du matériau à usiner.

UTILISATION DU MODELE LH232N COMME POLISSEUSE

- Introduire un tournevis dans le siège
prévu à cet ellet de façon à bloquer
l'arbre mandrin (5);
- à l'aide de la clé de 17 mm, dévisser
l'arbre mandrin.
(B)
Retirer le bouchon (comme dans la
figure B) et visser l'arbre auparavant
retiré du siége inférieur dans le siège
filetè.
(C)
- Introduire un tournevis dans le site prévu
à cet effet de manière à bloquer l'arbre.
- serrer l'arbre avec la clé de 17 mm.
Vous pouvez utiliser l'outil comme
ponceuse après avoir monté le plateau

DEMONTAGE ET REMPLACEMENT DES DISQUES ABRASIFS
(LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N)
- Bloquer l’arbre mandrin à l’aide de la clé de 17 mm;
- dévisser, en débloquant avec la clé à tétons, le collier conique de fixation;
- remplacer le disque abrasif;
- revisser le collier conique et serrer à l’aide de la clé à tétons.
Aucun autre outil n’est admis pour le serrage / desserrage.
DEMONTAGE DU PLATEAU PORTE-TAMPON
(LH22N - LH22EN)
- Bloquer l'arbre mandrin en poussant le bouton (11) et en faisant en
même temps tourner le plateu jusqu'à ce qu'elle se bloque.
MISE EN GARDE. ne jamais appuyer sur le bouton de blocage du
plateau avant que l'outil ne soit completement arrete sous peine de
rupture du boitier des engrenages ou de la tige du bouton et de
l'annulation de la garantie;
- démonter le plateau.

ENTRETIEN
Toutes les opérations doivent être effectuées la fiche étant débranchée.
A la fin du travai et en cas de nécessité, dépoussiérer le corps de la ma-
chine à l'aide d'un jet d'air comprimé en accordant une attention particu-
lière au nettoyage des fentes de ventilation du moteur.
Aucune autre intervention de l'utilisateur n'est pas admise.
Tous les travaux d’entretien et les travaux de polissage des piéces inter-
nes, comme les brosses, coussinet, engrenages etc., doivent être effe-
cuès par un atelier de réparation autorisè.

Les proves/verifies out eté executés en accord a les normes:

GARANTIE
Toutes les machines construites par la Société RUPES Spa sont garanties pen-
dant 12 mois à compter de la date d’achat contre les défauts matériau et de fa-
brication. Les machines ne doivent être utilisées qu'avec les pièces détachées
et les accessoires originaux RUPES: nous déclinons toute responsabilité en
cas d'accidents ou de dégâts matériels provoqués par le non-respect de cette
norme, qui entraînera en outre l'annulation de la garantie. La garantie prend fin
en cas de non-respect des prescriptions du présent livret ou en cas d’utilisation
impropre de la machine. Elle prend fin également si la machine est démontée
ou modifiée ou en cas de dommages évidents dérivant d’un mauvais entretien.
La garantie est subordonnée au remplissage du coupon qui se trouve à la
dernière page de couverture du présent livret d’instructions. En cas de
mauvais fonctionnement, la machine, accompagnée de son certificat de ga-
rantie, devra être remise ou envoyée en port payé, non démontée et dans son
emballage d’origine, au fabricant ou à un Centre d’Assistance agrée indiqué
sur la liste annexée au présent livret. La garantie ne donne pas en aucun cas
droit au remplacement de la machine. RUPES Spa se réserve le droit de modi-
fier sans préavis les caractéristiques techniques ou esthétiques des ses pro-

ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE
SICHERHEITS- UND UNFALLVERHÜTUNGSVORSCHRIFTEN
Die Sicherheits- und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften sind im beiliegen-
den Helft "HINWEISE ZUR SICHERHEIT" enthalten, welches vollwerti-
ger Bestandteil der vorliegenden Dokumentation ist. Diese Gebrauch-
sanleitung nennt daher nur die Zusatzinformationen, die den spezifi-
schen Einsatz dieses Gerätes betreffen. Werkzeuge niemals ohne
aufmontierte Schutzvorrichtungen betreiben. Alle Arbeiten an der Ma-
schine nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker ausführen. Die Maschine vor
dem Einschalten fest in der Hand halten. Sie darf die zu bearbeitende
Fläche nicht berühren. Tragen Sie für die durchzuführenden Arbeiten
geeignete Kleidung. Während des Polierens/Schleifens kann es zur
Bildung gesundheitsschädlichen Staubs kommen: Schützen Sie die
Atemwege mit den gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Vorrichtungen und
befolgen Sie die für das jeweils zu bearbeitende Material geltenden
Sicherheitsvorschriften. Aufgrund der mit dem Polieren/Schleifen ver-
bundenen Risiken wird empfohlen, entsprechend den geltenden Ri-
chtlinien zur Unfallverhinderung bzw. -reduzierung stets die gesamte
P.S.A. (persönliche Schutz-Ausrüstung, wie zum Beispiel Handschuhe,
Ohrschützer, Schutzbrillen, Atemschutzmaske, usw.) zu tragen.
Achtung! Das Werkzeug läuft nach dem Ausschalten noch für einige
Sekunden weite!
BESTIMMNGSGEMÄßE VERWENDUNG
Die Maschinen dürfen nur zum Polieren/Schleifen lackierter Oberflä-
chen verwendet werden.
Die Maschine darf nicht in feuchten Umgebungen oder bei
Vorhandensein von Gas oder entflammbaren Flüssigkeiten verwendet
werden. Vor dem Gebrauch muss überprüft werden, ob die
Betriebseigenschaften der Stutzscheiben/Schleifscheiben mit denen
der Maschine übere-instimmen und nicht gebrochen oder abgenutzt
sind. Ferner ist sicherzustellen, dass sie entsprechend den
Anleitungen des Herstellers korrekt und sorgfältig montiert,
gehandhabt und aufbewahrt werden. Überprüfen, ob das Werkstück
ausreichend befestigt ist. Wird das Gerät für nicht vorgesehene
Zwecke benutzt, übernimmt der Benutzer jede Verantwortung für
eventuelle Schäden oder Unfälle.

INBETRIEBNAHME
Vor einer Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes sollten Sie sicherstellen:
- daß die Verpackung unversehrt ist und keine Beschädigungen durch
Transport bzw. Lagerung aufweist;
- daß das Gerät vollständig ist, also Anzahl und Art der Geräte-
komponenten mit den Angaben in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung überein
stimmen;
- daß Stromnetz und Steckdosen für die in der Tabelle bzw. auf dem
Geräteschild (vgl. Abbildung u. Beschreibung des Gerateschilds auf
Seite 19) genannte Stromlast ausgelegt sind.
ZUSAMMENBAU DER MASCHINE
Den Seitliechen (6) un Zusatzschutz (12); er Kann wahlweise an die linke
oder rechte Seite des Gehäuses angesetzt werden.
MONTAGE DER SCHLEFTELLER VULCOFIX UND DER STUTZSCHEIBE
Wenn die Maschinen betrieben werden (LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N):
1. Schlefteller Vulcofix (8A) auf Welle des Spanndorns stecken (5) (fig. 1).
2. Stecken schleifscheibe;
3. Die konische Spannmutter (7) festschrauben und dann mit dem Inbus-
schlüssel festziehen, dazu die Spindel mit dem 17 mm (fig. 2).
Wenn die Maschinen betrieben werden (LH22N - LH22EN):
1. Den Stutzscheibe (8) auf die Spindel schrauben (5);
2. Die Spindel durch Eindrücken des Spindel-ArretierKnopfs (11) festse-
tzen, indem man den Stutzscheibe dreht, bis die Arretierung erfolgt.
HINWEIS: der Entsperrungsknopf für die Stutzscheibe darf keinesfalls
betätigt werden, bevor das Werkzeug nicht vollständig still steht, da
sonst das Getriebegehäuse oder der Stift des Knopfes bricht, dies hat
zudem ein erlöschen der Garantie zur folge.
3. Stutzscheibe bis zum Anschlag festspannen.
4. Dazu den Arretierkopf loslassen und die Scheibe von Hand durch-
drehen, um zu prüfen, ob sie tatsächlich entriegelt ist.
VOR DER INBETRIEBNAHME
Stellen Sie folgende Punkte sicher:
- das Stromntez entspricht den Gerätekenndaten;
- Anschlußkabel und-Stecker sind in ordnungemäßem Zustand;
- der EIN/AUS- Schalter funktioniert einwandfrei. Allerdings bei
gezogenem Netzstecker;
- Sämtliche Gerätekomponenten sind ordnungsgemäß montiert und
zeigen keine Anzeichen von Beschädigung;
- die Lüftungsschlitze sind nicht verstopft.
EIN-UND AUSSCHALTEN
- Einschalten: Den Hebel des Schalters (2) nach oben stellen. Wenn die
Feststelltaste eingesetzt werden soll, die Sperre des Schalters (3) in
Richtung Maschinenkörper drücken.
- Ausschalten: Den Hebel des Schalters (2) frei geben. Wenn der Schalter
festgestellt ist, den Hebel des Schalters (2) so nach oben drücken, dass
die Sperre des Schalters (3) gelöst wird.
Achtung! Das Werkzeug dreht sich nach dem Ausschalten noch weiter.
Warten, bis es vollständig zum Stillstand gekommen ist, bevor es ab-
gestellt wird.
TESTLAUF
Die Maschine starten und sicherstellen, dass die Maschine nicht
abnormal vibriert und dass die Stutzscheibe bzw. die Schleifscheibe
zentriert ist.
Andernfalls das Gerät sofort ausschalten und die Störung beheben.
ELEKTRONISCHER DREHZAHLREGLER (LH22EN - LH32EN)
Die Drehzahl stellt man über das Rädchen (3) im hinteren Abschnitt des
Gerätes ein. Die Drehzahl ist passend zum Schleifscheibentyp sowie den
Eigenschaften des zu bearbeitenden Materials zu wählen.

(A)
- Einen Schraubendreher in die
entsprechende Vertiefung einsetzen
und die Spindelwelle (9) damit
blockieren;
- die Spindelwelle mit dem 17 mm
Schlüssel abschrauben.
(B)
Den Verschlußstopfon
(wie in Abbildung B) entfernen und die
zuvor an der unteren. Position
abgenommene Spindelwelle in den
Gewindesitz einschrauben.
(C)
- Schraubenzieher in den entsprechenden
Sitz einführen, um die Welle zu blockieren;
- Welle mit einem 17 mm Schlüssel
festspannen.
Nachdem die Scheibe entsprechend den
Anweisungen in der Gebrauch-sanleitung
montiert worden sind, kann das Werkzeug
jetzt als Schleif-maschine eingesetzt werden.
ABBAUEN UND AUSTAUSCHEN DER SCHLEIFSCHEIBEN
(LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N)
- Die Welle mit dem 17 mm-Schlüssel kontern;
- die konische Spannmutter mit dem Inbusschlüssel losdrehen;
- die Schleifscheibe ersetzen;
- die konische Mutter wieder aufschrauben und mit dem Inbusschlüssel festziehen.
Die Verwendung sonstiger Werkzeuge zum Festziehen/Lösen ist nicht
zulässig.
ABBAUEN DER STUTZSCHEIBE (LH22N - LH22EN)
- Die Spindel durch Eindrücken des Spindel-ArretierKnopfs (11) festse-
tzen, indem man den Stutzscheibe dreht, bis die Arretierung erfolgt.
HINWEIS: der Entsperrungsknopf für die Stutzscheibe darf keinesfalls
betätigt werden, bevor das Werkzeug nicht vollständig still steht, da son-

PFLEGE DES GERATES
Sämtliche Reinigungsarbeiten nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker vornehmen.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach der Arbeit sowie bei Bedarf mit einem Druck-
luftstrahl. Achten Sie besonders darauf, daß die Lüftungsschlitze des Mo-
tors immer sauber sind.
Sonstige Eingriffe durch den Gerätebenutzer sind nicht zulässig.
Für die Wartung und die periodische Reinigung von den inneren Teilen z.
B: Bürsten, Lagern, Zahnrädern usw. oder andere Bedürfnisse wenden
Sie sich bitte an einer autorisierten Kundendienststelle an.
ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT - NIEDERSPANNUNG
Die Tests wurden nach den Anforderungen der zur Zeit gültigen Normen
ausgeführt:
EN 60745-1 sicherheit für tragbare elektrisch betriebe Maschinen
EN 60745-2-3 besondere Anforderungen für poliermaschine.
FUNKENTSTÖRUNG
Die Geräte erfüllen die Vorschriften der EG-Richtlinie 89/336 zur Vorbeugung
und Beseitigung von Funkstörungen Messung nach Norm EN55014-1+
EN55014-2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
SCHALLPEGEL
Der von der Maschine unter normalen Betriebsbedingungen am Arbeit-
splatz verursachte Schalldruckpegel entspricht 88,7 dB (A) - Schallei-
stung 99,7 dB (A) - gemessen gemäß EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO 11203.
Achtung: Während des Betriebs angemessenen Gehörschutz tragen!
(siehe allgemeine Hinweise)
MITTLERE BESCHLEUNIGUNG
Die mittlere quadratische Beschleunigung liegt unter 2,5 m/s2 Messung
nach UNI EN 28662 + UNI EN ISO 5349.

GARANTIE
Für alle von ihr hergestellten Geräte leistet die Fa. RUPES Spa Gewähr im von Mangeln,
die innerhalb von 12 Monaten ab dem Kaufdatum aufgrund Material-oder Fabrikation-
sfehlern auftreten. Die Maschinen dürfen ausschließlich mit Originalzubehör und Origina-
lersatzteilen von RUPES betrieben werden: Das Unternehmen haftet nicht für Unfälle
oder Schäden, die auf die Nichtbeachtung dieser Bestimmung zurückzuführen sind, die
außerdem zum unverzüglichen Verfall der Garantie führt. Der Garantieanspruch entfällt
bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch des Gerätes oder der Nichteinhaltung dieser Gebrau-
chasanleitung. Er entfällt ebenfalls, wenn das Gerät demontiert bzw. umgerüstet wurde
oder sichtbare Schäden infolge mangelhafter Pflege aufweist. Die Inansprunchnahme
der Garantieleistung ist nur möglich, wenn der Abschnitt auf der vorletzten Umsch-
lagseite dieser Gebrauchsanleitung ausgefüllt ist. Im Fall einer nachweislichen Funk-
tiosstörung muß das Gerät dem Hersteller komplett montiert, originalverpackt und mit
beiliegender Garantiekarte fracht und portofrei übergeben bzw. zugesendet werden. Die
Übergabe an ein autorisiertes Kundendienstzentrum (siehe beiliegendes Verzeichnis) ist
ebenfalls möglich. In keinem Fall leitet sich aus dem Garantieanspruch ein Rechtsan-
spruch auf die Ersetzung des Gerätes ab. Die Fa. RUPES SpA behält sich das Recht vor,
ohne Vorankündigung technische und ästhetische Änderungen an ihren Produkten vor-
zunehmen. Das Unternehmen haftet nicht für eventuelle Druckfehler. Vorliegen-
des Dokument annulliert und ersetzt alle früheren Veröffentlichungen.
Wir bestätigen in unserer Verantwortung das die Handgehaltenen Motorwerkzeuge, die in
diesem Betriebshandbuch beschrieben werden, ist in Übereinstimmung mit den wesentli-

ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES
INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA SEGURIDAD
Y LA PREVENCION DE ACCIDENTES
Las instrucciones para la seguridad y la prevención de accidentes se
ilustran en el opúsculo "INDICACIONES PARA LA SEGURIDAD" que
forma parte de la presente documentación. El manual de instruccio-
nes para el uso ilustra solamente aquellas informaciones adicionales
estrictamente relacionadas con el uso especifico de la máquina.
No hacer funcionar nunca las herramientas sin montados los disposi-
tivos de protección. Que cada operación en la máquina sea ejecuta-
da con el enchufe desconectado.
Llevar prendas adecuadas para el trabajo que se va a realizar.
Durante el pulido/alisado pueden formarse polvos nocivos para la sa-
lud: proteger las vías respiratorias con dispositivos conformes a las
normas de ley y ajustarse a las disposiciones de seguridad valederas
para el material con el cual se está trabajando.
Que antes de accionarla, la máquina estè firmemente empuñada y no
estè contacto con la superficie de trabajo.
Debido a los riesgos que pueden surgir durante la pulir/lijado, se re-
comienda utilizar siempre todos los D.P.I. (dispositivos de protección
individuales, como guantes, cascos, gafas protectoras, caretas para
proteger las vías respiratorias, etc.) conforme a las normas de ley vi-
gentes a fin de precaver o reducir las posibilidades de accidentes.
Atención! la herramienta ¡sigue funcionando por unos segundos de-
spués del apagado!
USO CONFORME A LO DETERMINADO
Las máquinas deben ser utilizadas sólo para pulir/lijado superficies
pintadas.
La máquina no debe funcionar en ambientes húmedos ni ante gases
o líquidos inflamables.
Antes del uso cerciorarse de que las características de trabajo de los
platillos porta-tampones/disco abrasivo sean compatibles con las de
la herramienta, que no estén rotos ni gastadas, que se monten, ma-
nejen y guarden cuidadosamente y conforme a las indicaciones del
fabricante.
Comprobar que la pieza a mecanizar esté bien afirmada.
En caso de utilización no conforme a las finalidades previstas, el
usuario asume todas las responsabilidades ante eventuales daños y
accidentes.

PUESTA EN FUNCIONAMIENTO
Antes de poner en funcionamiento la máquina verificar que:
- el embalaje esté integro y no tenga señales de daños debidos al tran-
sporte y almacenamiento;
- la máquina esté completa: controlar que el numero y la naturaleza de
sus componentes se adecúen a cuanto se ilustra en el presente manual;
- la fuente de energia y las tomas de corriente disponibles puedan sopor-
tar la carga indicada en la tabla e impresa en la placa de identificación
de la máquina cuyo facsímil, con las respectivas explicaciones, se ilu-
stra en la página 23.
MONTAJE DE LA MAQUINA
Atornillar la empuñadura (6) y protección auxiliar (12); éste se pueden colocar
tanto a la derecha como a la izquierda del cuerpo de la máquina.
MONTAJE DEL PLATILLO VULCOFIX Y DEL PLATILLO PORTA-TAMPON
Si se actúa con las máquinas (LH31N - LH32EN - LH232N):
1. Introducir el platillo vulcofix (8A) en el árbol mandril (5) (fig. 1).
2. Introducir el disco abrasivo.
3. Atornillar la virola cónica (7) y apretar con la llave de espiga mantenien-
do sujeto el árbol mandril con la llave de 17 mm (fig. 2).
Si se actúa con las máquinas (LH22N - LH22EN):
1. Atornillar el platillo porta-tampon (8) en el árbol mandril (5).
2. Bloquear el árbol mandril empujando el botón (11) y haciendo girar al
mismo tiempo el platillo hasta advertir su bloqueo.
ADVERTENCIA! : el pulsador de bloqueo del platillo no debe ser pre-
sionado jamas antes que la herramienta no se detenga completamen-
te. De otro modo, se puede provocar la rotura de la caja de engranajes
o del perno del pulsador con la consiguiente cesacion de la garantia.
3. Apretar a fondo el platillo.
4. Liberar el árbol mandril soltando el botón y hacer girar a mano el platil-
lo para controlar que sa haya desbloqueado efectivamente.
ANTES DE LA PUESTA EN SERVICIO
Verificar:
- que la fuente de energia se adecùe a las caracteristicas de la máquina;
- que el cable de alimentación y el enchufe correspondiente estén en per-
fecto estado ;
- que el unterruptor de conexión/desconexión funcione bien operando
con el enchufe desconectado;
- que todos los componentes de la máquina estén correctamente ensam-
blados y no presenten señales de daño;
- que las ranuras de ventilación no estén obstruidas.
ARRANQUE Y PARADA
- Arranque: presionar la palanca del interruptor (2) hacia arriba; si se desea

(3) adelante hacia el cuerpo de la máquina.
- Parada: soltar la palanca del interruptor (2); si el interruptor está blo-
queado en posición de encendido, presionar la palanca del interruptor
(2) hacia arriba para soltar el bloqueo del interruptor (3).
¡Atención! La herramienta continúa a girar después de apagarla.
Esperar que se haya parado completamente antes de apoyarla.
FUNCIONAMIENTO DE PRUEBA
Hacer funcionar la màquina y controlar que el platillo porta-tampon el di-
sco abrasivo no tenga vibraciones o asimetrìas axiales.
En caso contrario, desconectar inmediatamente y eliminar las anomalìas.
REGULACION ELECTRONICA DEL NUMERO DE REVOLUCIONES
(LH22EN - LH32EN)
La regulación del número de revoluciones se obtiene maniobrando ade-
cuadamente la ruedecilla (3) abicada en la parte posterior de la máquina.
La selección de la velocidad se debe hacer en función de las característi-
cas de los discos abrasivos y del material que se va a mecanizar.
