Assembly Instructions

Before you commence the assembly process we recommend that you read these instructions
thoroughly beforehand to familiarise yourself with the assembly process and to also check that you have
the correct components. If for any reason you need assistance, you can find our contact details on the
final page of these instructions.
We highly recommend that any assembly is carried out on a flat, level surface if possible and that you
use another person to assist you if necessary.

Tools required
Single chair:
2 X End Frames
1 x Seat panel (4 slats)
1 x Back panel (5 slats)
70mm Coach Screws
Cover caps.
Companion seats:
2 x single chair contents plus the following...
1 x Table Top
1 x Parasol Support
10mm socket or spanner
Broom handle or similar and spirit level for
companion seat

Step 2
Place the 2 seat end frames upright on a flat level
surface and slot the seat panel into place as shown.
(It is recommend you use an assistant for this step if
possible). For the companion seat make sure each
seat uses one each of the differing end frames to
build a "mirror" pair.
Align the seat panel flush with the front edge of the
end frame as shown...

...and working from underneath the seat secure in
place using 2 of the coach screws. Repeat for the
other side.
Place the back panel into position as shown...

...ensuring the angled batten tops are kept flush with
the angled end frame uprights as shown above, and
fix in place using 2 of the coach screws in each side..
Cover any exposed screw heads using the cover caps
provided. The Thistleton chair is now complete. If you
are constructing the companion seat, repeat steps 1-
5 before commencing with step 7.

Place the table top in position on the end frame
(without an armrest) on one the completed chairs as
shown above.
Ensure its front edge finishes flush with the end
frame as shown.

Secure the table top in position using 2 of the coach
screws.
Now position the 2nd chair in place with its end
frame front edge flush with the front edge of the
table top as before and secure in place with 2 more of
the coach screws.

Place the parasol brace on the floor in between the
seats with its longest edge toward the back of the
seats
Guide a broom handle, parasol or similar length of
dowel through the table top parasol hole and down
into the hole in the parasol brace, then ensure the
dowel is perfectly vertical using a spirit level.

Now slide the parasol brace up the dowel...
...until it meets the underside of the seat end frames.

Check the positioning at both ends of the parasol
brace to ensure it is identical at both ends, rotating
the brace as necessary, before securing in place with
the remaining coach screws.
