OPTICAL-ACOUSTIC
SIGNALING DEVICE
SPL-2030
spl2030_en 09/08
The SPL-2030 op ical-acous ic signaling device (siren) is designed for applica ion in he
burglary and assaul signaling sys ems. The signaling func ion is performed in wo ways:
visually (by blinking of indica or LEDs si ua ed in he lower par of he enclosure) and
acous ically (by a modula ed high-volume sound signal). As he ligh source, a se of LEDs is
used, whereas he sound signal is genera ed by means of a piezoelec ric ransducer. Design
of he signaling device housing ensures a high degree of amper pro ec ion (agains opening
and/or earing off from he base). The elec ronic circui is made by he use of SMD echnique
and impregna ed agains he adverse influence of wea her condi ions, which ensures a high
reliabili y of he device. As he SPL-2030 ex ernal housing is made of he PC LEXAN
high-impac polycarbona e, i is charac erized by a very high mechanical s reng h, and a nice
appearance of he device is guaran eed even af er many years of service.
1. Outfit options
The siren can be fi ed wi h addi ional elemen s of amper pro ec ion (sold separa ely),
including:
• inner cover of galvanized me al shee , OM-SPL2000,
• foam de ec or, SPL-SAB or SPL-TO.
In order o ins all he SPL-SAB de ec or, remove he elec ronics board and unsolder he SMD
componen (si ua ed undernea h he board), designed for shor ing he solder poin s J3
and J4. Nex , solder he de ec or leads o hese poin s and, using a screw, a ach
he de ec or o he siren base (so as o cover he opening) and remoun he PCB.
2. Installing
The SPL-2030 siren should be moun ed on fla ver ical surface in inaccessible place in order
o minimize ampering possibili y. I mus be a ached o he surface by means of screws and
expansion plugs ( he screws and expansion plugs are included in he device delivery se ).
Note: Make sure to leave a distance of about 4.5 cm between the upper edge of the
signaling device base and the ceiling or another object which limits the mounting
position from above. With no gap, mounting of the signaling device external housing
may be difficult.
Explana ions for Figure 1:
1 – moun ing holes
2 – auxiliary opening
3 – foam de ec or (op ion)
4 – buzzer
5 – cable hole
6 – amper elemen “S” (should be screwed o he moun ing surface; do no apply excessive
force, so as no o break he narrowings)
7 – wa er drain holes (make sure hey are no s opped)
