Digital Thermometer Model PC-3500
Thank you for purchasing the PC-3500 Digital Thermometer.
- This product is designed to measure temperature. Do not use it for other
purposes.
- Read this manual thoroughly before using the PC-3500. Keep the manual in
a safe place for future references whenever necessary.

How to Use
Please have the unit adapt to the measurement environment for at least 30
minutes before using.
1. Displaying the Current Temperature
 When the external probe is not connected, temperature detected by the
internal sensor is displayed
 When the external probe is connected, temperature detected by the external
sensor is automatically displayed.
2. Displaying the Min/Max Temperatures
Min. and Max temperatures are displayed all the time.
The Min/Max memory can be started by the following procedures.
 Set or replace the battery
 Press the RESET key (Previous Min/Max temperatures will be reset.)
Note: The Min/Max memory would be kept even if the external probe is
removed or connected. Press the RESET key to clear the previous data
(1) Use of internal sensor (external probe is not connected)
The main unit can be used in places where the temperature is between
-5˚C and 50˚C. Do not put it in lower than -5˚C state. Make sure to
secure the protective cap into the sensor jack at that time.
(2) Use of external probe
Connect the external probe to the sensor jack of the main unit.
Note: The probe cord is delicately made. Carefully handle it not to break the
wire.

Error Messages
When the temperature is out of measuring range, the display will show
“HH” or “LL”. In that case, take the sensor away from the measuring area
and stop the operation for one minute, then press the RESET key.
3. Battery Replacement
If all the ˚C digits of the display flash, replace the battery.
① Use a coin to open the battery lid. And remove the old battery.
② Wait for at least 5 minutes. Do not replace it with a new one
immediately.
③ Install a new battery (LR44 after confirming that “+” is facing up.
④ Close the battery lid.
Note: If the display does not return to normal, repeat the above
procedure. Be sure to leave it 5 min. or more after removing the battery.
4. Cautions in Use
- Do not use the thermometer in direct contact with water.
- Do not insert the external sensor in water.
- Do not bend or forcibly pull the cord.
- Do not stick the external sensor into anything solid.
- Never disassemble or alter the unit to avoid malfunctions.
- Do not wash or wipe the thermometer with alcohol, thinner or other
detergents etc.
When the thermometer is stained, wipe it with a soft and dry cloth.
- Do not use the thermometer out of the temperature range.
- Do not dispose used batteries in fire.
- For environmental conservation, dispose used batteries in compliance
with local rules and regulations.
