1. SAFETY
This item is intended for use in the regular testing required of high voltage
electricians protective gloves.
2. i INTRODUCTION
Pneumatic Glove Tester used to carry out a pressure test on electricians high
voltage gloves. Suitable for use with the Sealey HVG1000VL gloves.
Simple manual operation and supplied with two ring clamp seals.
3. i SPECIFICATION

4. OPERATION
IMPORTANT: Before high voltage electricians protective gloves are used, they
should be visually checked, and also tested for air leakage. Any perforation or deterioration to the glove could result in injury or fatality
due to the wearer coming into contact with high voltage electricity.
4.1. Aftercarryingoutavisualinspectionofthehighvoltageglove,placethecuendovertheGT117GloveTesterandsecureitinplace
using the rubber rings supplied.
4.2. Usingtheplungerintheundersideoftheglovetesterinatethegloveuntilithassucientpressuretoremainuprightandfreefrom
creasing(g.1).
NOTE: DO NOTover-inateasdamagetotheglovemayoccur(seeg.2)
4.3. Checkthegloveinationafteroneminute.Thereshouldbenosignicantlossofpressureandthegloveshouldhaveretainedits
originalinatedshape.
4.4. Release the rubber securing ring and remove the glove.
NOTE: It is imperative for user safety that high voltage gloves are tested before use. It is the responsibility of the wearer to ensure the
gloves are in a sound condition and are the correct type for the work being carried out. Any glove that is defective must NOT be
used.
4.5. If the item becomes soiled it should be cleaned as soon as possible with soap and water not exceeding 650C and thoroughly dried.
