3Maintain calliper in good and clean condition for best and safest performance.
3Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and ensure there is adequate lighting.
3Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
7DO NOT use the calliper for any purpose other than for which it is designed.
7DO NOT get calliper wet or use in damp or wet locations, or areas where there is condensation. Keep calliper clean and dry
using a dry cotton cloth only.
7DO NOT dip or submerge the calliper in any type of liquid.
7DO NOT expose calliper to bright sunlight or dust.
7DO NOT dis-assemble calliper. The calliper must be checked by qualified service personnel only.
7DO NOT apply any voltage to the calliper i.e. with an electric marker pen.
3The calliper is a precision instrument. Treat with care, avoid using force and do not subject to knocks or shocks.
3Take particular care not to damage or scratch the scale surface.
3Use calliper in reasonably constant temperature conditions of approximately 20OC.
3When not in use, turn off and store calliper in a safe, dry, childproof location.

2. INTRODUCTION & SPECIFICATION
Hardened and tempered stainless steel gauge, 11mm high figures in LCD display for ease of reading. Metric or Imperial read-out
with Hold function. Zero setting control allows for comparative measurement. Include serial port connection for computer
interface. Supplied in carry case.

3. OPERATION

WARNING! Ensure that you have read and understood Section 1 safety instructions before commencing.
3.1 General
3.1.1 Ensure all measuring surfaces are clean and then turn on calliper by pressing On-Off switch. Wait at least one second
before use.
3.1.2 Use the mm/Inch button to toggle between inches and mm at any time.
3.1.3 Press Hold button to hold displayed reading.
3.1.4 Press the Zero button at any time to zero the reading.
3.2 Measuring Disk.
3.2.1 To measure unscored surfaces.
3.2.2 Close the calliper and zero the reading. Place the callipers jaws so the anvils make contact with each side of the disk.
3.2.4 The displayed reading will be the disk width.
3.3 To measure scored surfaces.
3.3.1 Close the callipers and zero the reading, place the callipers either side the disk with the pointed anvil in the score,
3.3.2 The displayed reading will be the disk width inclusive of the score.
3.4 To measure depth of score.
3.4.1 Measure the disc width next to the score and take a reading.
3.4.2 Zero the reading and measure the disk width with the pointed anvils in the score.
3.4.3 The displayed reading will be the score depth.
Note: If the disk falls outside of the manufacturers specifications, it should not be machined but withdrawn from use and a
new replacement meeting the manufacturers specifications employed.
4. BATTERYFITTING
Fitting a new battery.
Aflashing display indicates that the battery is exhausted - replace as follows:
1. Remove battery cover by sliding backward and lifting the lower edge.
2. Remove exhausted battery and fit replacement with +ve side uppermost.
3. Dispose of old battery in a safe and approved manner. Do not burn.
If the display fails to alter when the slide is moved, remove the battery, wait

3. OPERATION
