4. ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
4.1. AIR SUPPLY
4.1.1. Ensurebufferairvalve(ortrigger)isinthe“off”positionbeforeconnectingtotheairsupply.
4.1.2. Youwillrequireanairpressureof90psi,andanairflowaccordingtospecification.
WARNING! Ensuretheairsupplyiscleananddoesnotexceed90psiwhileoperatingthebuffer.Toohighanairpressureanduncleanair
willshortentheproductlifeduetoexcessivewear,andmaybedangerouscausingdamageand/orpersonalinjury.
4.1.3. Draintheairtankdaily.Waterintheairlinewilldamagethebuffingkit.
4.1.4. Cleanairinletfilterweekly.Recommendedhook-upprocedureisshowninfig1.
4.1.5. Linepressureshouldbeincreasedtocompensateforunusuallylongairhoses(over8metres).Theminimumhosediametershouldbe
1/4”I.D.andfittingsmusthavethesameinsidedimensions.
4.1.6. Keephoseawayfromheat,oilandsharpedges.Checkhoseforwear,andmakecertainthatallconnectionsaresecure.
4.2. COUPLINGS
Vibrationmaycausefailureifaquickchangecouplingisconnecteddirectlytothebuffingkit.Toovercomethis,connectaleaderhoseto
thebuffingkit.Aquickchangecouplingmaythenbeusedtoconnecttheleaderhosetotheairlinerecoilhose.Seefig.1&2.

5. OPERATION

WARNING! Disconnectfromairsupplybeforechangingaccessoriesorservicing.
5.1. Thebufngwheel(34)attachesdirectlytothearbor(28)andshouldbetightenedusingthewrench(33).
5.2. Tousethegrindingstones(39)screwthe10mmdrillchuck(35)ontothearbor(28).Inserttherequiredgrindingstoneintothechuck
andsecureusingthechuckkeyprovided.Remembertoremovethechuckkey.
5.3. Depressthetriggertooperatethebufngkit.
6. MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Disconnect buffer from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performingmaintenance. Replace or repair
damagedparts.Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
6.1. LubricatethebufferdailywithafewdropsofSealeyairtooloildrippedintotheairinlettoprolongitslife.
6.2. Cleanthebuffingkitafteruse.DO NOTusedamagedstonewheels.
6.3. Lossofpowerorerraticactionmaybeduetothefollowing:
a) Excessivedrainontheairline.Moistureorrestrictionintheairpipe.Incorrectsizeortypeofhoseconnectors.Toremedy
checktheairsupplyandfollowinstructionsinsection4.
b)Gritorgumdepositsinthebuffingkitmayalsoreduceperformance.Ifyourmodelhasanairstrainer(locatedintheareaof
theairinlet),removethestrainerandcleanit.FlushthebufferoutwithgumsolventoiloranequalmixtureofSAENo10oil
andparaffin.
Allowtodrybeforeuse.
6.4. ForafullservicecontactyourlocalSealeyserviceagent.
6.5. Whennotinuse,disconnectfromairsupply,cleanbufferandstoreinasafe,dry,childprooflocation.
