Please read before operating your new Air Purier
The air purier draws in room air from the air intake, passes the air through a pre-Fil-
ter, a HEPA Filter inside of the unit, then discharges the air through the air outlet.
The HEPA Filter can remove 99.97% of dust particles as small as 0.3 microns that
pass through the lter.
Some odours absorbed by the lter may break down over time, resulting in additional
odours. Depending on the usage environment, especially when the product is used
in extreme environments (signicantly more severe than normal household use), this
odours may become strong in a shorter period than expected. If the odours persists,
the lter should be replaced.
NOTE
• The air purier is designed to remove air-suspended dust, but not harmful gases
(for example, carbon monoxide contained in cigarette smoke).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be fol-
lowed, including the following:
WARNING - To reduce the risk of electrical shock, re or injury to persons:
• Read all instructions before using the unit.
• Use only a 220-240 volt outlet.
• Do not use the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged or the connection
to the wall outlet is loosened.
•Periodically remove dust from the power plug.
• Do not insert ngers or foreign objects into the intake or air outlet.
• When removing the power plug, always hold the plug and never pull the
cord.
Electrical shock and/or re from short circuit may occur as a result.
• Be careful not to damage the power cord, it may cause electric shock, excess heat
or res.
• Do not remove the plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not use this unit near gas appliances or replaces.
• Remove the power plug from the wall outlet before cleaning the unit and
when not using the unit.
Electrical shock from bad insulation and/or re from short circuit may occur as a
result.
•When cleaning the unit, or when the unit is not in use, be sure to unplug the unit.
Electrical shock and/or re from a short circuit may result.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent, Sharp Approved Service Centre or similarly qualied person
in order to avoid a hazard.
•Do not operate when using aerosol insecticides or in rooms where there is oily
residue, incense, sparks from lit cigarettes, chemical fumes in the air or in very
high humidity conditions, such as a bathroom.
•Be cautious when cleaning the unit. Corrosive cleansers may damage the exterior.
•Only a Sharp Authorized Service Centre should service this air purier. Contact
the nearest Service Centre for any problems, adjustments, or repairs.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
NOTE - Radio or TV Interference
If this air purier should cause interference to radio or television reception, try to cor-
rect the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the unit and radio/TV/wave-clock receiver.
•Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

CAUTIONS CONCERNING OPERATION
• Do not block the intake and/or air outlet.
• Do not use the unit near or on hot objects, such as stoves or heaters or where it
may come into contact with steam.
• Do not lay the unit down when using.
• Always hold the handle on the back of the unit when moving it.
• Do not use without the lter inside the unit.
•Do not wash and reuse the HEPA Filter.
Not only does it not improve filter performance, it may cause electric shock or
malfunction.
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
•When using the unit, place it away from equipment utilizing electric waves
such as televisions or radios to avoid electrical interference.
•Avoid use in locations where furniture, fabrics or other items may come in
contact with and restrict the air intake and/or air outlet.
•Avoid use in locations where the unit is exposed to condensation or drastic
temperature changes. Appropriate conditions are when room temperature is
between 0 – 35 ºC.
•Place on a stable surface with sufcient air circulation.
When placing the unit on a heavily carpeted area, the unit may vibrate slightly.
•Avoid locations where grease or oily smoke is generated.
The unit surface may crack as a result.
•Place the unit about 30 cm(1 ft) away from the wall in order to ensure proper
airow.
The dust collecting performance will be the same even if using the unit 3cm away
from the wall, but place it as far as possible(30cm away recommended) because it
may dirty the wall or oor around.

To maintain the quality of the lter, it is installed in the main unit and packed in plastic

OPERATION
Releases high-density Plasmacluster ions and discharges strong air ow for 60 minutes.

•Select the desired fan speed.
•Unless the power cord has been unplugged,
the operation starts in the previous mode it
was operated in.

using a vacuum cleaner attachment or simi-
lar tool.

periodically.
Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before performing any maintenance.

CAUTION
Do not apply excessive pressure, when
scrubbing the back panel.

• Do not WASH in water and DRY in the sun.
• Apply the maintenance only on the side with the tag.
Do not clean the opposite side; otherwise, the lter will be
damaged.
The lter is fragile, be careful not to apply too much force.
NOTE How to clean stubborn dirt
1. Add a small amount of kitchen
detergent to water and soak for about
10 minutes.
2. Rinse off the kitchen detergent with
clean water.
3. Completely dry the lter in a well-
ventilated area.

Wipe with a dry, soft cloth
For stubborn stains or dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with warm water.
CAUTION
•Do not use volatile uids
Benzine, paint thinner, polishing powder, etc. , may damage the surface.
•Do not use detergents
Detergent ingredients may damage the unit.

FILTER REPLACEMENT GUIDELINES
Do not wash and reuse the lter
The lter life and replacement period are based on the condition of smoking 5 cigarettes per
day and the dust collection power is reduced by half compared with that of new lter.
Filter life varies depending on the room environment, usage, and location of the unit.
We recommend to replace the lter more frequently if the product is used in a condition signif-
icantly severer than normal household use.

Before calling for repair, please review the list below, since the problem may not be a unit malfunction.

Dust and smoke are not removed. • Clean or replace the lter if they appear to be heavily
soiled.(Refer to E-8,E-9)
A clicking or ticking sound is heard
from the unit.
• Clicking or ticking sound may be audible when the unit
is generating ions.
The discharged air has an odour. • Check to see if the lter are heavily soiled.
Replace the lter.
• Plasmacluster Air Purifiers emit small traces of ozone
which may produce an odour. These ozone emissions
are well below safety levels.
The Plasmacluster Ion Indicator

• Check to see if the SLEEP mode is selected. The Plas-
macluster Ion Indicator Light is turned off 3 seconds
after the SLEEP mode is selected.
• Check to see if the Plasmacluster Ion OFF is selected.

Used electrical and electronic equipment should always be collected and treated SEPA-
RATELY in accordance with local law.
Separate collection promotes an environment-friendly treatment, recycling of materials,
and minimizing nal disposal of waste. IMPROPER DISPOSAL can be harmful to human
health and the environment due to certain substances! Take USED EQUIPMENT to a
local, usually municipal, collection facility, where available.
If in doubt about disposal, contact your local authorities or dealer and ask for the correct
method of disposal.

FOR INSTANCE NORWAY AND SWITZERLAND: Your participation in separate collection

Der Luftreiniger saugt Raumluft durch den Lufteinzug ein, lässt diese durch einen Vor-
lter und einen HEPA-Filter im Gerät strömen und gibt sie dann durch den Luftaus-
lass wieder in den Raum ab.
Der HEPA-Filter kann 99,97 % der Staubpartikel mit einer Mindestgröße von 0,3 Mik-
ron, die den Filter passieren, entfernen.
Einige der von dem Filter absorbierten Gerüche werden womöglich erst im Laufe der
Zeit aufgespalten, was zu zusätzlichen Gerüchen führen kann. Je nach Einsatzbe-
reich, besonders in geruchsintensiven Umgebungen im Vergleich zum Hausgebrauch,
können die Gerüche schon früher verstärkt auftreten. Sollten die Gerüche bestehen
bleiben, sollte der Filter gewechselt werden.

Bei der Verwendung von Elektrogeräten sollten grundlegende Sicherheitsvor-
kehrungen befolgt werden, einschließlich der folgenden:

• Dieses Gerät kann sowohl von Kindern ab 8 Jahren als auch von Personen mit
eingeschränkten physischen und geistigen Fähigkeiten sowie mit Mangel an Er-
fahrung und Kenntnis verwendet werden, vorausgesetzt sie werden bei der Ver-
wendung beaufsichtigt oder wurden bezüglich der möglichen Gefahren unterwie-

Das senkt nicht nur die Filterleistung, sondern kann sogar zu Elektroschocks oder
Fehlfunktionen führen
INSTALLATIONS-RATGEBER
•Wenn Sie das Gerät verwenden, platzieren Sie es fern von Geräten, die
elektrische Wellen ausstrahlen, wie Fernseher oder Radios, um elektrische
Interferenzen zu vermeiden.
•Vermeiden Sie die Verwendung an Orten, in denen Möbel, Stoffe oder andere
Gegenstände mit dem Gerät in Berührung kommen und den Lufteinzug und
-ausgang einschränken können.
•Vermeiden Sie die Verwendung an Orten, in denen das Gerät Kondensation
oder drastischen Temperaturschwankungen ausgesetzt ist. Geeignet ist eine
Zimmertemperatur zwischen 0 und 35 º C.
•Stellen Sie es auf eine stabile Oberäche mit ausreichender Luftzirkulation.
Wenn Sie das Gerät in einen mit Teppich belegten Bereich stellen, kann es leicht
vibrieren.
•Vermeiden Sie Orte, wo das Gerät Fett und öligem Rauch ausgesetzt ist.
Die Geräteoberäche könnte sonst einreißen.
• Platzieren Sie das Gerät ca. 30 cm von der Wand entfernt, um einen
ausreichenden Luftuss zu garantieren.
Die Staubsammelleistung bleibt zwar dieselbe, egal ob Sie das Gerät 3 cm oder
30 cm weit weg von der Wand stellen. Jedoch werden 30 cm empfohlen, da
ansonsten die Wand oder der Boden beschmutzt werden könnte.

Pege und Wartung des Filters.

FILTEREINBAU
Damit die Qualität des Filters gewährleistet bleibt, ist er in den Gerätekörper eingesetzt und in einem Plas-
tikbeutel verpackt. Ehe Sie das Gerät verwenden, müssen Sie den Filter aus dem Plastikbeutel nehmen.

• Wählen Sie die gewünschte
Lüftergeschwindigkeit aus.
•Solange das Stromkabel nicht
herausgezogen wurde, beginnt der Betrieb
in dem vorherigen Betriebsmodus.
STOP
IONENDUSCHE-REINIGUNG
START
•Wenn Plasmacluster Ion EINGESCHALTET ist, wird Plas-
macluster Ion nicht aktiviert.
•Wenn der Betrieb beendet ist, kehrt das Gerät in den vorhe-
rigen Betriebsmodus zurück.
In diesem Modus kann das Gerät den anderen Modus und
ändern.

LÜFTERGESCHWINDIGKEIT
MIT MAX SCHLAF
SCHLAF
• Der Betrieb des Geräts erfolgt bei niedriger Lüftergeschwindig-
keit sehr leise. Die Plasmacluster-Ionen-Anzeige schaltet sich
automatisch ab. Selbst wenn die Anzeige aus ist, werden Plas-
macluster-Ionen in die Luft abgegeben, außer wenn Plas-
macluster Ion durch Drücken von abgeschaltet wird.
