Introduction
1
The condition of the system and any defects found must be documented with suitable
photos.
If an inspection point is marked "FAIL (F)", a more detailed description of the defect must be
given at the end of the checklist.
Criteria that cannot be checked, e.g. because they are not present, are to be marked with
"N/A".
The list must be filled in completely.
Defects that have been directly eliminated are to be entered in the defect list and marked as
completed.
Note
After commissioning, carry out the checks at the following intervals:
•
6 months after commissioning
•
12 months after commissioning
After the first year, carry o
ut the tests every 12 months. Perform the checks at shorter
intervals if necessitated by the ambient conditions of the SICHARGE D charging station (e.g.
high dust exposure).

Preparation

Before going to the job site, make sure to bring the following items to ensure a correct
maintenance in the most efficient time possible.
•Keys to unlock the device.
•Check the FW version and LOGO! version.
–Ask for the customer's agreement to update in case new software is available.
–Prepare a USB stick and microSD card for these updates.
•Check and use latest version of the Preventive Maintenance Checklist
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109814289)
•Check for available and latest versions of the Q-Feedbacks (https://siemens.com/sicharge-
d-manuals) and if they are applicable. Make sure you are logged in and the Intranet view
is enabled.
•Check if additional spare parts for maintenance are required.
•Check for current error flag events and events that have occurred in the recent days. Be
prepared to resolve them on the same trip to the site.

Estimated time
Keep in mind that the estimated time to complete all maintenance steps is approximately 2.5
hours for the SICHARGE D and 1.5 hours for the Dispenser.

Visual Inspection Outside
Check the exterior of the cabinet for visible damage, stickers or graffiti.
Check the control panel (HMI) for visible damage.
Check the charging cables and plugs for moisture, dust, corrosion, demolition or wear.
Check cable management system (CMS), rope and cable clamp for moisture, dust, corrosion, dem-
olition or wear.
Check positioning of the charging cables in the CMS.
Check ease of movement of the CMS on both sides.
Check retraction of the CMS.
Check the AC charging socket for damage.
Check the position of the charging plug in the plug holder.
Check for material deposits, such as snow or accumulations of dirt, and remove if necessary.

Emergency Stop
Check the emergency stop button (NOT during charging process).
Check whether an error message appears on the HMI and LED turn red after pressing the button.
Observe if the charger returns to the default state after releasing the emergency stop button (LED
white, then green).

Open Door, Shutdown and Power-Free State
Open the door and check if any error message appears on the HMI and the LEDs are red.
Check that the RCD trips by pushing the test button (RCD for AC charging needs the door contact
switch to be closed to be energized and being able to trip).
Press "Shutdown" on the HMI and wait for the charging station to shut down. Turn off -QA2.
Establish the power-free state.
Check the fans for any damages.
Check the ventilation openings.
Clean the grilles of fans and air intakes.
Check all the filter mats and replace if dirty.
Check the internal fans and clean them if necessary.
Check the insulation of the fan cables for visible damage.

Wait until the charging station is ready (LEDs green).
Install FW updates if available and the customer has agreed in written form.
Install LOGO! updates if available and the customer has agreed in written form. For this purpose, a
micro-SD card is needed.
Close and lock the door.
