Supplement to the Operating Instructions for Apollo SW 4.n
The supplement updates the information of the Operating Instruc-
tions 9039994, 2nd edition November 2008 of the medical device.
The supplement must be kept with the Operating Instructions.
Chapter "Configuration"
System information
Remote Service
An inspection for the technical status of the device can take place
by using Remote Service.
Before activating the Remote Service:
1Carry out a self test.
2Press the key >Remote Service< (A).
The Remote Service screen is displayed with a prompt advising
the operator how to continue:
You may now connect the Remote Service Link to COM1.
Please refer to the Remote Service Link manual. After com-
pletion switch off the device.
3Connect the Remote Service Link to the COM 1 interface.
The service data of Apollo can now be transferred. For further
operation, see Instructions for Use for the Remote Service Link.
After exiting Remote Service:
4Switch off the Apollo.
Chapter "Cleaning and Maintenance"
Maintenance intervals
The following intervals are valid:
WARNING
Risk of patient injury.
The patient may be injured if connected to the device when
the remote service function is active. While servicing the
device, automatic ventilation and all monitoring functions
are not available.
Only use the Remote Service Link on medical devices
which are not in use.
