Prerequisites 1
Purpose 1
The purpose of this modification is to upgrade a MAMMOMAT 3000 Modular with Mo
X-ray tube to Mo/W X-ray tube.
Tools and expendables required 1
•Standardassemblytools
•Circlip pliers
•Denaturedethanol,99.5%pure(may only bedenaturedwithtoluene,whichdoesnot
leaveany residueswhen evaporated)forcleaningthefiltersortubewindow.
•Lint-freeclothor Q-tips(cottontops)forcleaning
•Lint-freecotton gloves
•ServicePC withconnectingcable(99 00440RE999)

Filter-assembly kit, part no. 64 82 967 X041E, comprising the following parts:

Installation and Start-Up Instructions for MAMMOMAT 3000 Modular.
Time required 1
Approximately four hours for one person.
Important notes 1
•TheAllenscrewscan be veryhardto loosen.When unscrewing, be sureofenoughgrip
withtheAllenscrewdriver,sothatthescrewsdonotget damaged.
•The filtersin the filter assembly must not be contaminated in anyway. Therefore, always
uselint-freecottongloves duringthehandlingof the filter assembly.Do not removethe
filterassemblyfromitspackinguntilinstallation.
•If the filters have been contaminated, clean by using the specified alcohol. Other types
ofsolventsmayleaveresidues.
