Safety information 1
When performing service work and tests, adhere to the general safety instructions, print
number RA0-000.12.40 contained in Register 1 of the system binder, the product-specific
safety information in the POWERMOBIL respectively ARCOSKOP as well as the safety
information in the ARTD. After completing all service work and reattaching the covers,
perform the protective conductor measurement as specified in ARTD-002.731.17.

POWERMOBIL respectively ARCOSKOP system binder including the general safety
information and the service instructions.
If there is a laser targeting device: Setting and adjustment instructions for the Laser
Targeting Device.

Installation 1
•DisconnectthePOWERMOBILrespectivelyARCOSKOPfromthemainspower.
•RemovethePOWERPHOS cover.
Without the laser targeting device: 1
•Attach the Areadose productmeasurement device tothe POWERPHOS using the
screwsincludedinthepackaging.
•ConnecttheinterfacecablealreadyintegratedinthecableharnesstotheAreadose
productmeasurementdeviceandlockitinplace.
•ReattachthePOWERPHOScover.
With the laser targeting device: 1
•RemovethelasertargetingdevicefromthePOWERPHOSbyremovingthescrews.
•MounttheAreadoseproductmeasurementdevicetothePOWERPHOS.
•Reattachthelasertargetingdevice.
•ConnecttheinterfacecablealreadyintegratedinthecableharnesstotheAreadose
productmeasurementdeviceandlockitinplace.
•Checkthelasertargetingdeviceaccordingtotheadjustmentinstructionsand,
ifnecessary,adjustit.
•Reattachthe POWERPHOS cover.

Memoskop Programming 1
•Turn on the POWERMOBIL/ARCOSKOP and wait for the start-up.
•Insertthe Memoskop parameter disk (seeSystem folderRegister 10)in drive A ofthe
servicePC.
•Startthe Memoskop serviceprogram.
•Clickthe"GetfromMemoskop"buttoninthemainmenu.Theparametersaretransferred
fromthe Memoskop to theServicePC.
•Selectthe "Others"menu.
•Select"Disabledose displayselection inUserSet Up". The Checkbuttonis not marked.
•Select"Storageofdose on disk".TheCheckbutton is marked.
•Click onthe "Back"button. The "Others" window closes.
•Selectthe "HardcopySetup"menu.
•Select"Dose on Hardcopyoutput".TheCheckbuttonis marked.
•Clickon the "Back" button.The"HardcopySetup" window closes.
•Clickon the "Put toMemoskop"button in themainmenu. The parametersare
transferredfromthe servicePCtothe Memoskop and saved.
•Selectthe "File"menu.
•Selectthe sub-menu"Save"and save the parameterson disk.
•Exit the Memoskop service program.
•Turn the POWERMOBIL/ARCOSKOP offand the on againto reset the serial interface.
After selecting the "Disable dose display selection in User Set Up"
parameter, the "Storage of dose on disk" and "Dose on hardcopy output"
parameters become available in the Memoskop User Setup and visible to
the customer.

•Readandrecordthe Tw valueshownontheelectronicsunit of the areadoseproduct
measuringdevice.
Programming 1
•Connectthe servicePCtotheserial interfaceof the POWERMOBIL/ ARCOSKOP.
•Startthe serviceprogram.
•Selectthe "Adjustment,Parameter..."menu.
•Select"Diamentor"inthe"ParameterGroups"combo box.
•Clickon"Getfrom Unit".
•The parameter "1. Diamentor Existing" mustbe on YES.
•Selectparameter "2.ConstantTw.
•Enterthe parameterTwin the "Value Actual:"field.
•Clickon"SetValue".
•Clickon "Put toUnit".
•Clickon "Save to File".

This adjustment is used to calibrate the area dose product mea-
suring device to the POWERMOBIL/ ARCOSKOP display.
You must exit the service program with "Logoff" and "Quit" in
order to save the modified parameters to diskette as a new file.

Checking the programmed value 1
Prerequisites
•TheTwvalueisalreadyprogrammed (seeProgramming).
•Connectthe servicePCtothe serial interfaceofthePOWERMOBIL/ARCOSKOP.
•Startthe serviceprogram.Selectthe"Adjustment,Calibrations..."menu.
•Answerthequery with "Yes".
•Select"Diamentor"in the "FunctionGroup:"combo box.
•Inthe"AvailableFunctions" windowselectthe line"StartDiamentorTest" and clickon
"Execute".
•Pressthe >0< key(resetkey forfluoroscopytime).The currentvalue is displayedon the
monitor.
•ThetestedTw value is displayed on themonitor of the POWERMOBIL/ARCOSKOP.
•Thisvalue mustmatch theprogrammedCONSTANTparameterTw.Tolerance:±5%.
•Ifthe ->0<- keyispressed (resetkey for fluoroscopictime)the testis repeatedand is
displayedagainon the monitor.
•Thepotentiometer(Fig.2) ofthearea dose productmeasuring devicecanbeusedto
adjustthe testvalueTwto the programmedvalueTw.
•Afterthe adjustment,select "StopDiamentor Test"ontheservice PC and clickon
"Execute".
•Thetestis concluded.
•Checktheaccuracy ofthearea dose productmeasuringdevice (seenextpage).

Checking the programmed values will activate the self-test in the
electronics unit of the area dose product measuring device.
This serves to recalibrate the electronics unit.

Checking the accuracy of the area dose product measuring
device 1
Prerequisites 1
The calibration of the measuring device must already have been performed.
The X-iris is correctly set; the collimator blades are still just visible on the monitor screen.
Preparations 1
•Attachthe centeringcross inthecenterof theI.I.(Fig.3).
•Selectzoom format.
•SelectkV-mA-curve plateauIOD.
•Releasefluoroscopybriefly,adjustingtheX-Iris on theradiationfieldto a formatof
around 15cm diameter.
•Do notmakeanyfurtheradjustmentsto the X-Iris.
•Recordtheinner diameter(keywidth,Fig.5) of the octagonalarea of theradiationfield.
•Removethe centeringcross.
•Attachthe small(1cm3)dosemeasuringchamberinthe centeroftheI.I.(Fig.4).
Dose measurement 1
•Pressthe"Next Pat" keyto reset the areadoseproductdisplayon the POWERMOBIL/
ARCOSKOP monitor to0.
•Select kV STOP and set70 kV.
•Resetthedose measuringdevice(Dali,Nomex...)to0.
•Release fluoroscopy forapprox. 20 seconds (~ 3mGy).The measured dose KEshould
behighenough that theselectedmeasurementrangeof thedose measuringdevice
(Dali,Nomex...)isfullyutilized;ifnecessary,resetthe areadoseproductdisplayon the
POWERMOBIL/ ARCOSKOP and the dose measuringdeviceand repeat the
measurementwith a differentfluoroscopictime.SelectkV-Stopagain and set 70 kV.
•Recordthemeasured dose KE.
•Recordthearea dose productdisplayedon the POWERMOBIL/ ARCOSKOP (FDPa).
Calculating the area dose product 1
•Tocalculatethe measuredareadoseproduct:(measuredarea doseproductFDPg) =
(measureddose KE)*(innerdiameterd)2 *0.829.
The radiation field must cover the entire area of the dose measur-
ing chamber. If necessary, center the dose measuring chamber on
the II again.

Evaluation 1
Calculate the deviation between the measured area dose product and the displayed area
dose product:
The deviation must be < 0.3.
Deviation = [(displayed area dose product FDPa) - (measured area dose product FDPg)] /
(measured area dose product FDPg).
