Fast keys
The navigation keys and the + and – keys have a double action: light pressure for
slow, and heavy pressure for fast operation. This allows you to jump quickly from a
menu option or data point to the next, or to the bottom of the display.

On start-up, the BCS display provides an overview of
the devices connected to the bus. Use the navigation
keys to select a device. The selected device will be
shown in inverse video. Use enter to jump to the
relevant menu. Press ?to display detailed
information about the selected item.

Use the navigation keys to select the letters or
numbers required, and press +to write them in the
data entry field or –to delete them. When you leave
the data field after making changes to the name, you
will be asked to confirm the data entered. Press
enter to complete the input process. The same dis-
play is used to enter a unique name when registering
a device on the bus, and for password entry.

Modifying a value:
Use the navigation keys to select the value. If modi-
fiable, the value will be displayed in inverse video.
Prepare to modify value by pressing +/ –. The value
will flash. Modify the value with +/ –keys. Accept
the new value with enter or press esc to abandon
the new value (the original value will be retained).

When a day is selected with the navigation keys, the
associated switch programme will be displayed
automatically. The days are also marked (with thick
or thin bars) to display the switch-on and switch-off
times graphically. To define a time programme, enter
the switch-on and switch-off times with the +/ –
keys and confirm with enter. To copy a complete
switch programme, move to the "Copy to ..." option
and use the +/ –keys to select the day. Press
enter to accept. To delete switch times, use the –
key to set switch states to – – – and press enter.

To define a date programme, select the required
date with the navigation keys and set with +or delete
with the –key. When you leave this option you will
be asked to confirm the data entered. Acknowledge
with enter. Use the navigation keys (left, right, down)
to move to the previous or next month. Use esc or
the up-navigation key to exit to the path area.
