Connecting Communications and Power
1. Connect the RJ11 communications line from the
TTX to the RTS/MMI connector on the TEC
(Figure 1).
2. Connect the TTX power wires as follows:
a. If possible, connect the TTX power wires
directly to the TEC H (hot, 24 Vac, red) and
C (common) power terminals (Figure 1).
b. If direct connection to the TEC power terminals
is not possible, locate the jacketed 24 Vac TEC
power wires from the transformer. Connect the
TTX power wires to the TEC power wires using
the power connectors provided. See Figure 1.
NOTES: 1. The 3M Scotchlok™ power connector is an
insulation displacement connector.
Therefore, removing wire insulation is not
necessary.
2. The 3M Scotchlok power connectors can
be used one time only. Once they are
clamped in place, they cannot be removed
and reused. Additional 3M Scotchlok power
connectors are available from
W.W. Grainger, Inc. (part number 4YT73)
via the Field Purchasing Guide.
The installation is now complete.
