Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part
of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and
disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating
and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of
applications specified. Retain these operating instructions for future reference.
Please pass on these operating instructions to any future owner.
Intended use
The appliance is intended exclusively for removing dirt indoors and outdoors in
domestic households. Do not use the appliance for personal or animal care.
It is not intended for use in commercial or industrial areas.
Claims of any kind for damage resulting from misuse, incompetent repairs,
unauthorised modification or the use of unauthorised replacement parts will
not be accepted. The risk is borne solely by the user.
Safety information

► Switch off the appliance before disassembling, assembly,
cleaning or replacing accessories.
► Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
► This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years or older
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they
are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the
appliance and understand the potential risks.
► Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by
children unless they are supervised.
► Do not allow children to use the appliance as a toy.
► Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
► The appliance must not be used if it has been dropped or
if there are any obvious signs of physical damage.

Never use it for other purposes. There is a risk of injury

Safety instructions for handling batteries
WARNING!
Mishandling batteries can cause fires, explosions, leakag-
es of dangerous chemicals or other hazards!
► Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
► Make sure that no one can swallow the batteries.
► If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
► Always use the stated battery type.
► Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
► Remove the batteries from the appliance before recharging them.
► Do not throw batteries into a fire or water.
► Never expose batteries to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
► Never open or deform batteries.
► Do not short-circuit the terminals.
► Remove depleted batteries from the appliance and dispose
of them safely.
► Do not use different types of batteries together or mix new
batteries with used batteries.
► Always ensure that the batteries are installed in the appli-
ance with the correctly aligned polarity.
► If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended
period, remove the batteries.
► Check the condition of the batteries at regular intervals. Leaking
batteries can cause injuries as well as damage to the appliance.

WARNING!
► Always use protective gloves when handling leaking bat-
teries! Clean the battery and appliance contacts with a dry
cloth. Do not let the chemicals get into contact with your skin
and mucous membranes, especially your eyes. In the event
of exposure to the chemicals, wash the affected area with
plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately.
Checking package and contents upon delivery
♦ Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the
packaging.
♦ Remove all packaging materials and any films and labels.
The package contents include the following components (see fold-out page for
illustrations):

► Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
► If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defec-
tive packaging or during transport, contact the customer service hotline
(see Service section).

CAUTION - DAMAGE TO APPLIANCE!
► Pay attention to the polarity indicated 5on the battery compartment 3
when you are inserting the batteries!.
► Always use type Mignon AA, LR6 batteries 5.
► Always use batteries 5 of the same type.
1. Remove the battery compartment cap 4from the hand unit 1(see Fig. 1).

2. Remove the battery holder 3 from the hand unit 1by pulling it out from
the hand unit 1 (see Fig. 2).

3. Remove the old batteries 5(if there are any) from the battery holder 3.
4. Insert new batteries 5as shown in the polarity diagram in the battery
holder 3(see Fig. 3 and 4).

5. Slide the battery holder 3 back into the hand unit 1. Make sure that the
arrow on the battery holder 3is facing towards the top side of the appliance
(see Fig. 5).

6. Place the battery compartment cap 4back onto the hand unit 1and push
it onto the hand unit 1until the battery compartment cap 4 is sitting tight
and secure (see Fig. 1).
Attachment assembly
WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
► Only change the attachments 9/8/7/6 when the appliance is
switched off.
♦ There are four different attachments 9/8/7/6 available to choose
from. Choose the most suitable attachment 9/8/7/6according to the
task:
Large brush attachment
The large brush attachment 9is ideal for cleaning large flat areas, such as
floors and walls.

Small brush attachment
The small brush attachment 8is ideal for cleaning uneven surface areas,
such as wash basins, taps and fittings, etc.
Brush attachment for crevices
The brush attachment for crevices 7is ideal for cleaning hard-to-reach
spots such as gaps, corners and joints.
Scrubbing sponge attachment
The scrubbing sponge attachment 6is ideal for cleaning pots as well as
cooker and hob surfaces.
♦ Slide the selected attachment 9/8/7/6onto the attachment holder 0
until it clicks into place. Please make sure that both indents on the attachment
holder 0slide into the appropriate recesses on the attachment 9/8/7/6
(see Fig. 6).
♦ To remove an attachment 9/8/7/6, pull it from the attachment
holder 0with a small amount of force (see fig. 7).

Operation and control
CAUTION - DAMAGE TO APPLIANCE!
► Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. They could irreparably damage
the surface you are cleaning.
► The hard bristles and the scrubbing sponge pad of the attachments
9/8/7/6 can scratch or damage sensitive surfaces such as glass, ve-
hicle paintwork, stainless steel, copper, wood, etc. First test the attachments
9/8/7/6 on an inconspicuous spot of the area to be cleaned.

NOTE
► Use the appliance with water; for more difficult stains use a mild cleaning
detergent. Apply the detergent directly onto the attachment 9/8/7/6
and/or on the area to be cleaned before switching on the appliance.
► After every use clean the appliance and the used attachments 9/8/7/6
as explained in the section Cleaning and maintenance.
♦ Hold the appliance tightly over the area to be cleaned.
♦ Switch on the appliance by pressing the On/Off switch
2.
♦ Move the attachment 9/8/7/6with light pressure over the area to
be cleaned. Apply more water and/or cleaning detergent, as needed, to
the area to be cleaned.
♦ Once you have finished using the appliance, press the On/Off switch 2
again to switch it off.
Cleaning and maintenance
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Do not immerse the hand unit 1in water in order to clean it.
CAUTION - DAMAGE TO APPLIANCE!
► Do not clean the appliance with solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning
agents. These could damage the plastic surfaces of the appliance.
♦ Clean the hand unit 1with a moistened cloth. For stubborn dirt, add some
mild detergent to the cloth.
♦ Wash the attachments 9/8/7/6under running water and with some
mild detergent. Then rinse out the attachments 9/8/7/6with clean
water.
♦ Allow the hand unit 1 and the attachments 9/8/7/6 to dry
completely before using them again or storing them.
Storage
♦ Remove the batteries from the hand unit 1(see section Inserting/replacing
batteries).
♦ Store the appliance in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that this appliance is
subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states that this appliance may
not be disposed of in normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but
must be taken to a specially set-up collection point, recycling depot or disposal
company.
This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the environ-
ment and dispose of this appliance properly.
Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how
to dispose of the worn-out product.
The product is recyclable, subject to extended producer responsibility and is
collected separately.
Disposal of the batteries
Used batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Consumers are
legally obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection point in their community/
city district or at a retail store.
The purpose of this legal obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of
in an environmentally-friendly manner. Only return batteries when they are fully
discharged.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness
and ease of disposal and are therefore recyclable.
Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with
applicable local regulations.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material
components for disposal if necessary. The packaging materials are labelled
with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:
1–7: plastics,
20–22: paper and cardboard,
80–98: composites.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights
are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a
safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of
purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or
refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that
you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within
the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault
and of when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired
or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the
beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and
defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after un-
packing. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject
to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guide-
lines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile parts which
could be considered as consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts
made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the
product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and
actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned
against must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications/repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.

Sicherheitshinweise für den Umgang mit Batterien
WARNUNG!
Eine falsche Handhabung von Batterien kann zu Feuer,
Explosionen, Auslaufen gefährlicher Stoffe oder ande-
ren Gefahrensituationen führen!
► Lassen Sie niemals zu, dass Batterien in die Hände von Kin-
dern gelangen.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass niemand Batterien verschluckt.
► Nehmen Sie sofort medizinische Hilfe in Anspruch, wenn Sie
oder eine andere Person eine Batterie verschluckt hat.
► Verwenden Sie ausschließlich den angegebenen Batterietyp.
► Laden Sie nicht-wiederaufladbare Batterien niemals wieder auf.
► Entfernen Sie wiederaufladbare Batterien aus dem Gerät,
bevor diese geladen werden.
► Werfen Sie Batterien niemals in Feuer oder Wasser.
► Setzen Sie Batterien keinen hohen Temperaturen und direk-
ter Sonneneinstrahlung aus.
► Öffnen oder verformen Sie niemals Batterien.
► Schließen Sie die Anschlussklemmen nicht kurz.

► Entfernen Sie leere Batterien aus dem Gerät und entsorgen
Sie sie sicher.
► Verwenden Sie keine unterschiedlichen Batterietypen oder
neue und gebrauchte Batterien zusammen.
► Setzen Sie Batterien immer mit der richtigen Polarität in das
Gerät ein.
► Entnehmen Sie die Batterien, wenn Sie das Gerät längere
Zeit nicht verwenden.
► Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die Batterien. Auslaufende Bat-
terien können zu Verletzungen führen und Beschädigungen
am Gerät verursachen.
► Verwenden Sie bei ausgelaufenen Batterien Schutzhand-
schuhe! Reinigen Sie die Batterie- und Gerätekontakte sowie
das Batteriefach mit einem trockenen Tuch. Vermeiden Sie
den Kontakt von Haut und Schleimhäuten insbesondere Ihrer
Augen mit den Chemikalien. Spülen Sie bei Kontakt die Che-
